Farming Simulator 2017 Timelapse #17: Bale Wrapping And Harvest!

- In today's FS17 time lapse video, which is set in Goldcrest Valley-
We've got to get the silage bales finished first, which means bringing them in from the fields, then wrapping them all. Once that done we're going to sell them all and use the money to upgrade our seed drill and cultivator. The next day we're selling more pigs, buying sheep, and then getting started on the harvest. We wrap the harvest up quite quickly with our highly efficient combine and make a good start on the next season's planting, although the large amount of ploughing that needs to be done does slow us down a little!

Frithgar when would you say is the best time to harvest? Stage 1, 2 or 3? I always leave it until the 3rd stage and some crops I get really good yield, but the soy beans and sunflowers I can do 4 or 5 fields (or more) of it and barely get 50,000L. I am spraying the crops each growth stage and ploughing when needed aswell or am I just a shitty farmer lol. Loving the timelapses by the way, was the reason I subscribed from seeing your FS15 ones :D
Getting the three fertilizer applications on is the only way to improve yield, the stage of harvest doesn't make any difference to the total yield. The ploughing makes a difference as well of course, on every third harvest :)
Ah ok then, not sure what is going on then as I'm doing the 3 applications even doing the weeding when its needed. Maybe its because I'm playing on normal difficulty, I dunno.
I likw Valtra because it from Finland and I am from Finland too
and we have two Valtras (serie T230 and 8850) and old International 660).
MaPax 007 and we have a valtra s 293 on 400 hp

Keeping the English spelling lol, in US we spell ploughing plowing because we spell it plow instead of plough just look in the shop menus.

A lot of people don't like hardstyle, so I'm going to limit them a little more, but when I do use them, it'll be the entire video.
@Frithgar where can I get the trailer that you used for the wrapped bales?
It's on the Modhub, the UAL Fliegl Trailer, does square, round, small bales, pallets, large pallets and large bales
Buy field 22 and connect it to 23 to make a big field.

Is it worth wrapping them?
Definitely, you get 1400 per bale after wrapping, something like 250 before wrapping them. Wrapped bales are the easiest way to earn cash in the early game

You'll need to set the trailer autoloading before you start trying to load the bales onto it, should work then

I had all my fields grass and maked 270-280 bales a day :) on hard i only Get 980 a bale
I chose not to play on hard mode as I thought it would take too long to get established in the early stages

There was a bale mod that did that in fs15, but the basic game didn't have it and unfortunately this one doesn't either
you should try coldborough park farm
Please learn to use the bale trailer. Tho load use the auto load and then unload the bales into the centre of the trailer. This will allow you to put on straps. Then when you want to unload remove the straps and reload the bales onto the trailer. Essentially doing nothing, then unload where you want them. Please learn to use it
I will use it like that for some things, but not when selling bales as they have a habit of either falling off the trailer, or crashing my game. It's better to simply autoload and then unload at the sell point.

Well spotted, however English spelling (I'm from UK) it's practise when used like that, and a Doctor's Practice is spelled with a C rather than an S. Thank you for calling it out though, I hate it when I have mistakes in there!

Yeah, although with that one I did have to check which was the right spelling, the UK English seems to have more variations on the same words for different circumstances than the US does, means it's easier for you guys in English classes!

It is indeed, a Hogwarts special! It's in the modhub, I think it's in the Beta section, the only autoload one they've got on there at present. If you're on console you won't be able to access it because of the scripts it uses.

I was referring to damaging the bales after they'd been wrapped, then I was pushing them over before wrapping so that the wrapper could lift them! At least I think I didn't hit any wrapped ones did I?
