While it doesn't really do anything different or new like with PS4 title or was as impactful as Shattered Dimensions. It was made as a love letter to both fans of Spider-Man 2099 and sci-fi in general, Plus Thanks to Shattered Dimensions and This that Spider-Man 2099 is now being recognized and acknowledged now. Heck, becuase of those two, Spider-Man 2099 is now showing up on both T.V and Film. Can't wait to see what his role is in Across the Spider-Verse.
Sometimes, I feel like I'm the only dude on the planet who thoroughly enjoyed this game. Glad someone's finally putting a positive take out there.
Don't worry, you are not the only one. The problem is that today they are all toxic and they always put Marvel Spider-Man and Miles Morales in the middle of every conversation and now they start being all-rounders and criticizing every little flaw of these old games and giving the maximum value to every little detail of new games. I miss the old days...
@@K3vin_06 ikr those new games are good, but we’ve been had good Spider-Man games, SM2, Ultimate, web of shadows, shattered dimensions, and edge of time.
Played this on the 3Ds and played the shit out of it, I genuinely have it as one of my favorite experiences of all time. I wouldn’t be a Spider-Man fan without this game.

@@dylanshorrorchannel1378 LMFAO. I probably shouldn't feed the troll, but It's a colloquial phrase that people commonly use to describe a feeling, something you can't possibly _not_ be aware of. Nine times out of ten, when people talk about Edge of Time, it's not in flattering terms. And anyone who's been around for more than five minutes in these spaces would be aware of that, too.
That said, I'd rather be a pretentious douchewad than someone who picks out comments he doesn't like just to insult someone I don't know. GFY.
Man I wish the Activision Spider-Man games were still available digitally, especially on Steam so that I can play and discover what I missed out from Beenox’s/Activision’s creations, despite the quality. Since I am a Spidey Fan, i have experienced very little games of the superhero, and I wanna change that. Edge of Time genuinely looks like a fun time 👌🏻

Get an Xbox 360. They are really cheap now and you can also play older Spider-Man games like Spider-Man 2, and ultimate Spider-Man on them thanks to backwards compatibility. Also you should play shattered dimensions before edge of time.
I love this game so much, also the fact of the CEO was Peter actually originated with the original 2099 comics before they changed the idea. So adding that concept to the game was a stroke of brilliance.
what i like about this game and shattered dimensions is that all the Spiderman are voiced by previous Spiderman vas from the cartoons. In this game Miguel is voiced by CDB who voiced him in the 90s Spiderman cartoon which i grew up watching and is my definitive version of Spiderman when i think of the character. Chris has said he would love to be involved in the new spider verse movie and god i hope so id actually be pissed if he didn't especially since its a 2 part movie now. His acting is fantastic in this game and i dig him as Miguel. I wish we could get more games like this and shattered dimensions.
I HAVENT WATCHED THE 90’s SHOW YET THATS SO COOL THAT ITS HIM!! I’ve gotta give it a watch sometime, although what’s kept me away from most Spidey cartoons are the cliffhangers due to cancellation. But I recently learned about the final episode where Peter rescued Mary Jane is published in script form so I’m finally planning on watching it!

I plan on watching it all again and that script along with the fan contiuation issue by godzilla mendoza which also includes miguel, granted i think its only 2 issues rn. i plan to do that all before the spider verse film next year. Its great being a spiderman rn so much good stuff available and coming. Ya gotta do shattered dimensions next.

Spider-Man: Edge of time has a better understanding of time travel than Endgame and Loki.
Eh, perhaps true, but I wouldn't say that Edge of Time is that much better.

I was looking at the HD version and you can see a major difference and it really is amazing how the graphics looked like back in what 2009, 2010?

I actually have this game on my PS3 it’s been awhile since I played. I’ll definitely replay it as soon as I can! And once again Nick great video it has a nice pace, editing, and small but clever jokes. I do hope you make more Spider-Man videos cause this is an excellent start!!!
Nick this video was (in my opinion) your best video yet! It's just so well presented and produced! Fantastic job! Please do more of these! (Shattered Dimensions or Web of Shadows?). I'd like to also touch a little bit on Beenox, they also did the Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled remake (one of the rare occurances where the remake 100% surpasses and improves the original) and also did some work on Call of Duty. Idk, just a little cool tidbit of Beenox, I always found it interesting they did Spider-Man games too Also Peter Parker's suit in this is probably my favorite in movie/game Spider-Man media

I still got the PS3 version and yes. This game still holds up over 10 years later.
This game understands what makes Spider-Man so good. He knew his fate was death but because wirh great power comes great responsibility he fought Anto-Venom anyway. This is one of my favourite childhood games and was the game that introduced me to Spider-Man 2099 and Anti-Venom. Can't wait to see him in Across the spider-Verse and maybe we could see Anti-Venom In Venom 3?
Edge of time is indeed one of the best Spiderman games
This was the first video game I ever owned and I just got it again yesterday for Christmas after not playing it for 8 years
I never got to play the S.D or this one but I watched playthroughs.
That opening of Edge of Time was a real gut punch for me.
One thing I like about this is that it was stated that they could communicate since the previous events before this (shattered dimensions) still had some connection so they can talk to each other. I’m not sure what they exactly said but I think it’s interesting the games link

What was even more impressive was that the wii version was also ported too the 3ds
While we're on the subject of Spider-man games, apparently Anti-Venom was created when Mr. Negative tried to cure Eddie Brock's cancer, which awakened dormant Symbiote DNA that infected Eddie's white blood cells, creating Anti-Venom, which makes me think we might see Anti-Venom in the insomniac Spider-man universe
9:06 my theory is: The Regeneration chamber Miguel used to heal Peter messed with Peter’s mind a little, same way The Anti-Ageing Drugs messed with The C.E.O’s mind that turned him into who he is in 2099. Thankfully, unlike his future counterpart, Spider-Man realises he has the power and the responsibility to help save them

Glad to see you talk about this Edge of Time! Although I didn't complete it thanks to life, I really enjoyed my time with it. I honestly had more fun going through it than the PS4 game. I can't really describe why, because both games are repetitive. There's just something about Beenox's games that handle the repetition better for me.

I also love how they’re the reverse of each other. When he’s not superheroing, Peter has a more quiet personality. But when he’s in costume, he sounds more confident and bold. However, Miguel makes jokes and has a sarcastic tone when he’s out of costume. But when he’s Spider-Man, he’s more quiet
I played this game on my nintendo 3DS and it’s astonishing how similar the graphics were to the Wii version. Great video

This game benefited so much from being what Majora's Mask is to Ocarina of Time, they were able to focus on all other stuff that really enrichs the whole experience
Bro I swear, selling my xbox 360 was the biggest mistake of my life as I miss the og Spiderman games that were on it. Spiderman Edge of time obviously being one along with Spiderman Shattered Dimensions as well as Spiderman friend or foe were absolutely amazing and this video I wish had even more recognition so everyone could see how amazing edge of time really was. I just wished they would make remasters of this game along with the rest. Great video all in all, sums it up perfectly

to be honest, the only reason 2099 and anti-venom probably got popular is cause of spider-man edge of time I think.

This made me Want to play the game but it’s honestly too expensive to be worth it to me.
Nah it’s worth it, I’m planning on picking it up myself but I wanted the video out before no way home. Emulation is still my recommendation tho.
I am happy someone talking about this game again edge of time and web of shadows are my to favorite Spiderman the one of things these to have in common is well they were both original game they both have knots to different marvel character this I game is my first introduce Miguel Spiderman 2099 or shattered dimensions but I do believe this was my first introduction in this game also anti venom I love it I'm happy that people are talking about edge of time again and web of shadows these my games were one of my starting off point of reading comic book back then.

I may not love this Game, but I do see where your coming from. I do recommend the Prequel to this Game that came a Year before this one:Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions. It has a Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3 version. And I think it's great and better than this Game. It might be a bit pricey though as it came out in 2010. Just saying you should give that a whirl if you want.
Also I didn't know Spider-man 2099 was voiced by Spider-man from the 1994 cartoon

I believe a balance can be struck but the 2 are fundamentally different in a lot of ways. I’ve never read Watchmen myself but I’d be down to cover the subject sometime soon!

The Wii version looks... Ugly i think the better way to exp this Game it on o a ps3 or an Xbox360 but the fact that the Wii version it's actually a Port and not whole downgrade diferent Game it's actually amazing
I have the 3DS version of this game, and I would say its the hardest version of any of the ports that are 3D. Spider-Man Edge of Time on DS is a completely different game that's not that good. The DS version's art style sucks, gameplay is Janky, and the story is okay.
I liked the story a lot but I still have no idea why Alchemax Parker chose to fund a giant botanical garden with a bunch of Black Cat clones
