Thanks for watching!
_'Wet chuckles'_ was how one clever writer described their calls.
They're off the wall, as birds of prey are usually understood to be.
That's a very good description of their calls đ
Iâve been playing this very loud to the magpies in my garden itâs been driving them fucking mental. Thatâll teach them waking me up early every bastard morning đ
Since their communication is very complex (I would even say it borders on being genuine language), playing a recording of a random assortment of calls must be so fucking confusing, lmao.
It's like someone screaming absolute nonsense into the wind! Especially since these calls seem to be ones of stress or alarm. Good prank!
This is literally the most annoying sound youâll ever hear when youâre trying to sleep at 5am
I know every morning its like these birds are shooting guns
Bro don't even get me started... Right outside my window those fookers đ
This and wood pigeon together are morning nightmares. Oh and seagulls don't forget those fuckers.
@@Anuisgod Bro, wood pigeons! For a long time I couldn't figure out what species it was... Thanks. đ
@@radimfriedel380 Did you think it was owl call ? :D
Oh my gosh I just played this to two magpies galavanting around my garden and they couldnât have freaked out and flown away any quicker đđđ€Ł
đThanks for watching and have a great weekend!
Ha ha. Just did the same. No idea what I just said, but it was a full panic exit.
Ile have that on the beat
Same
Once magpie landed on my balcony and while doors to balcony were fully opened this magpie started to scream as hell at 6 am. This was worst alarm clock ever :D
That must be one of the worst noises to get woken up by :)
Horrific bstardsđ„
I always hear the loud cackling each morning from my backyard
A good description of their call :) They don't have a very appealing call but a beautiful bird all the same. Thanks for watching!
Adorable little rascals. They are fond of grapes.
They also kill baby birds in nests and eat them, their horrid!
â@@jennybuxton4532 I don't know how much I agree with calling an animal "horrid" for eating...
Magpies have existed in many areas of the world for thousands of years and they have never severely affected other bird populations. On the other hand, stray cats have, in as little as 200 years, driven many birds to endangerment. If you want to complain about baby birds being eaten, look at cats. Furthermore, plenty of humans eat baby animals, too.
Magpies also prey upon tons of insects and keep their numbers in check. Especially insects which are very damaging to crops. They are incredibly smart for birds, too, and are comparable in intellect to human children. Many people shoot and kill them for being "horrid," but it's pretty much like shooting a kindergartener for being annoying.
I understand if you don't like them, but please try to not spread bad stereotypes that aren't actually accurate.
A magpie was looking into my room, saw its cute face at the window.
These birds are possibly the most fascinating ,beautiful and very intelligent ones in the family ...........if you get one in a spot of bother from other magpies secure them and water and feed them........you will get appreciation back from them trust me. or in general if you get close enough leave them bread ,rice or fruit they love it and a bowl of water ,youll be their best friend trust me
Yes, they are great birds, it's always nice to see them in the garden. Thanks for watching and leaving such an interesting comment.
Don't give them bread it's not recommended for them, hidrated cat food can work.
I'm taking care of a fledging boy atm, he got severe aspergillosis, I thought he was going to die but now he is super happy and alive.
I have an empty room so I leave him there with everything, when I wake up I go to check him and give him his medicine and he starts running from side to side, just like a happy dog haha.
Then he jumps in to my shoulder, I'm in love with this one, I rescued other birds in the past but this is by far the most intelligent, social and lovely bird I met!
They are a nuisance. When they appear, all the garden birds fly away, you can keep them.
Done! đđ
I Got it last night. homeless Magpie baby what I feed him, actually I'm feeding pedigree after soaking up the water, and he is eating too.
These pricks of birds wake me up every morning
Anish lolol đđ
Yeah nature hey, what a c*** Grow up!
Golly what gorgeous birds!
I agree, especially when the light hits them right and you can see the iridescent sheen of purples, blues and greens. Thanks for watching :)
I saw a Magpie having a real row with a squirrel once. It was in Stanley Park, Blackpool. I don't know if it was because the bird was near the squirrel's babies or vice-versa, but they were really going at it - verbally.
They are smart birds. Smarter than humans.
To be clear, this is the Eurasian Magpie not the Australian one which has a completely different song. Australian ones whistl, are larger and swoop viciously to protect their nests/surroundings during spring.
Yes, you're right to highlight that. Had a listen to the Australian Magpie - amazing repertoire of calls. Thanks for watching :)
I did wonder about that, because the magpies here never swoop
Love the Aussie Magpies singingđCant stand the Euro magpie. Would love to shoot them in the head.
Oh really? Tell me more?
most australian magpies swoop- for some reason the tasmanian ones never do.
In the morning, in the evening... the noise! Drives me crazy! The air rifle is gunna get dusted off before too long...gunna go rambo on em lol
I love the "laughing" sound!
It's the last sound the magpies in my area hear. That and a *crack* of a .177

I am Australian and magpies are my favourite Aussie bird mate there just so adorable đđđđđ
One of my favourites too! Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment :)
Our Aussie magpies are not actually related to these European dudes, they are in a separate family. But I still like them.
I feed & water some Magpies & they are very smart birds. Of course, a few people complain about these birds because they can be loud. I have one very rude neighbor & a few weeks ago she started cussing at me because I was outside. I was rude back to her, but I wish I hadn't been. Because in a couple of hours, the Magpies had pooped all over her car. The birds have only done this to her car! It was very funny & the perfect come-back for this lady. Now she doesn't park right in front of my Townhouse.
đđđđ
That's hilarious!! I know you posted this 2 yrs ago but I'd say karma was really working that day! lol Glad she doesn't park in front of your townhouse. Good thing you put out water for them! lol
They are certainly a very political bird. Cool to see that they'd defend you for a verbal argument they couldn't even understand hahaha
Since its breading season right now I saw two mating in my garden
We've got way too many Magpies in my area & lots of nesting smaller birds , I don't like the Magpies constant chatter & have / had 2 in tree outside of house until I played this & they scarpered despite the neighbour giving me a funny luck hanging my phone out of the window , thanks for uploading đ
They are breeding like rats. Im going to smash the nest near me next spring to ensure they dont shit any more outâââââââââââđđđđđđđđ
Lived in the Black Forest. I miss it to this day. The birds are magpies, one of the smartest birds
Came here looking for one of my fav native birds, the aussie magpie, found this and im happy.
Glad you enjoyed the video. I was watching a video of the Australian Magpie the other day - fantastic bird.
I live in in australia. I don't know what bird species these are but they are not magpies.
The bird in the video is not the actual Australian "magpie" though.
It is the European magpie
Wonderfull footage and stills. Thanks for this good job!!! Greetings Rolf
Thank you, appreciate your comment :)
I feed a gang of magpies. They are the most amazing creatures, and smarter than most people.
I THINK I STARTED A LIKE A WOLF HOWLING THINGY BUT WITH MAGPIES ALL AROUND MY NEIGHBOURHOODđđđđâđŒâđŒâđŒ
It sounds like a demon baby laughing lol at 5 am. Outside the window đ
They're fighting like pro đđđ€Ł
Thanks for fun video. They are radcals.
Ahh yes...the sound you hear the morning of a bender
Lmfao those days you're waking up at like 3 in the afternoon after getting completely trashed the night before all you hear is a magpie and children laughing
Are these Magpies Australian. Their call seems to have an accent and they appear to be upside down.
European, a true corvid unlike Australian ones.
Australian magpies make a rather pretty warbling sound, unlike these fuckers who just OOOSHAHAHAHAHAHA at 5am
Magpies have different dialects by region, ours sound completely different from this. It's like little people languages.
If they live in Australia they are immigrants from Europe, and they like pizza. That's why ornithologists call them Pica pica ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurasian_magpie ).
@@5mnz7fg Nice joke, but didn't get it funny. I already know European magpies are called Pica pica scientifically. đ
â€â€â€ amazing birds.
Thank you so much đ»

I like magpies
Same here, so adorable.
Sat in garden smoking a j , played this ,,,,,, omg !!!! Alfred Hitchcock eat your heart out lol ..
Its lovely
Wish they werenÂŽt screaming right behind my open window every morning by dozens and making it sound like the most obnoxious thing in the world..
It can be very annoying đđ My budgie copies them đ
Yeah, almost as obnoxious as miserable privileged whining humans moaning about nature in its natural environment.
@@pilze.7213 I am allowed to whine and moan. At least I havenÂŽt hurt them over it.
My magpies I feed don't scream like these anxious juveniles. Because I feed all of them, they all made friends and tolerate each other without anxiety. My baby crows and magpies even became friends and visit me flying around showing off and calling me. Be kind to animals they will be kind to you and each other and life will be more peaceful around you for all.

Can anyone identify that tree they are in?! Been trying to figure it out itâs driving me crazy
Its a Rowan Tree - the birds love the berries :)
6am. Window wide open from heat trying to sleep. And it starts đđđđđđ
Just seen the video of the magpies xxxxx i
I love in australia and knowing there are other magpies out there that are that different kinda confuses me đ
I heard this last night right by my window an It was so annoying đđđđ
Your channel is fantastic!!!! đđđâ€
Thank you, that's much appreciated :)
Proof that Jurassic Park dinosaurs live on!
I'm sat in my bedroom.and I can hear that noise right now. Is this normal?
No. Destroy them.
These magpies are very noisy in china especially at the parks đ
!!!!!
English magpies don't have the same noises as the Australian ones do.
0:11 What is that call for?
They're talking to Satan.
They kind of sound like the Boos from Super Mario 64.
so annoying at 4am

Not Aussie magpies
I would love to film Australian magpies! You're right though, these are Eurasian magpies
My Birding Year Even tho the headline doesnât mention Australian magpie I just assumed they would be i wonder if these breeds attack people like the Australian magpies?
The awful singers of the bird species.
Melody definitely isn't their strong point :)
There not magpies.
They're Eurasian English pica pica, as magpie as they come.
Air rifle
Just destroyed a nest that was so high up. They're gonna get smashed again next SpringđłCant stand them vile noises they make. Evil birds.
