He played it off at first, but I think Daymond was actually heartened by the fact that these guys looked him up. He's not as big a personality as Mark or Kevin, so not as many people come in looking for him specifically.
i see your point but any entrepreneurs that come in pitching something in his wheelhouse... clothing, shoes, ties etc .... definitely look to Daymond. they know he is the investor you want on your team in that area.

My family has always been strict no shoe, both my mom and dads side. You see this mostly in young adults/teens with no respect for their own home.

So great to see Muvez here. I was with them since the start back in New Jersey. I found them on craigslist, they were looking for a 3D modeler to create their first visualizations of the Muvez footwear. It was a pleasure to see them grow from so close.

I grew up in a household where we always removed shoes. I was shocked when relatives would show up at holidays and not respect house rules. Often it was children who would not follow protocol.

Only place I take my shoes off is my house. I’d happily leave before I took my shoes off. Plus my feet smell like shit. Don’t think people at the Christmas dinner table want to smell my feet.

i agree! Especially in the asian culture/house it is mandatory to take off the shoes. Unless the owner insist that you leave it on. This product is awesome. I really love the concept and it looks pretty good as well. I hate when i'm wearing some J's and then have to loosen the shoe strings and putting it back on when you leave etc etc. I'm thinking about getting some.

I've lived in Asia for 14 years. The market for this footwear over here is huge, where everybody removes their shoes before walking inside a house.

Daymond is the perfect fit for this, this product is actually pretty cool and brings uniqueness to shoes.
Where are they now?
The company is still around and seemingly doing pretty well with new product lines out and an active online presence. They are said to have quadrupled their $100,000 revenue in 2020 and actually did pretty well during the pandemic. No verifiable numbers on revenue or profit for 2021.
Edit: Apparently they are also scamming people with wrong orders and bad after sales support. Reviews are not good.
@@nickclark18 I always look for that in the comments as I'm curious if the company succeeded or not. If I don't find the info I do some Googling and post the answer for other people like me. Do it on a lot of videos, (most) people seem to appreciate it.

dont know if they would get it as theres already stuff similar to this on the market. nike fly ease, 1017 alyx, as well as a plethora of detachable soles used for things like hiking. my guess is this tech is already patented

@@GSF4life14 the design and application. Like Daymon said, they have something very cool. He is a big clothing guy, and if he thought this product was so cool…people in charge of the big shoe companies(Nike, adidas, pumas etc etc) will probably think the same.
So he possibly has "in's" with shoe companies which would then buy it from Daymond/Muvez?
@@GSF4life14 You basically give one of the big brands your product and they will make, market, and sell it. But they pay you a fee/royalties. So you don't have to complete with them. Its patented so you own it. You're just letting some pay you for them to sell it and you get a cut.
I think the way they pitched it wasn’t the best, they could have presented it, this way: “in our society you need different shoes for every place, and that costs a lot. Our product solves a part of this problem, shoes that you can wear in your house and outside”
I think they pitched it just fine. When mark said he’s not a “shoes bro household” I would’ve said something like “well that’s cause you don’t got the muvez”

As a Contractor working in my customers homes, I'd consider these.
this is the exact issue i have taking out my dog for a walk when working from home, I dont wanna swap shoes every time, this makes it so much easier. definetly buying whenever I can.
This is a very creative and a brilliant idea because not everybody likes when people come into their house with their shoes on because of the germs from outside.
And I hate when I'm in their house and I have to run outside and put my shoes back on and take them off again. Its a win win

If they could figure out how to do these with cleats without risk of injury, I'd find that very interesting. Different cleat patterns for different surfaces with an easy swap. Detachable cleats kinda suck unless you get 3/4" inch for mud bowls.

I just saw this episode and I am sold. My wife is always saying something about my shoes. Plus, I like the idea of less messy floors after coming though the door from outside!
Oh this is great. I would buy these in a second. I always wear slippers indoors & it's a pain in the ass to put shoes on to take the trash out, etc. This really does solve a problem
Why not wear clean socks indoors? Then a pair of shoes outdoors? These take about as long to put on as a pair of slip-on runners for $60 USD (vs $120 for these)

I'm reading the comments in this video and realize that the majority missed the whole concept of the pitch/idea. They are trying to emphasize that by buying these you will be courteous to whomever you were visiting by taking off your shoes and not walking around someone's house with shoes on, or stinky feet or with holes in your socks. We all know that in your personal homes you can have slippers by the door for yourself, but would you have a pair of slippers for all your guests when they visit?
Tell me how I use these in Finland when here is 10cm+ snow already? And these have 1.1 stars Amazon reviews... thy totally lied about 2% return rate.

I love the product, but I don't have that kind of money for a pair of shoes. But at $50 I'm all in with buying the product. PS I usually don't spend over $25 for a pair of shoes, but they seem like an incredible idea.

Great design no complain there, but after reading reviews online, they either have problems with the quality of the shoe wearing out or with shipping.
Honestly, I'd buy that, but a $110 is definitely high for something that's basically a nice loafer slipper that can be worn outside. Mainly like slippers it doesn't look like it'd last very long, slippers are usually comfortable and practical but rarely durable, and these also look like they'd start to fall apart after a few months of use at best.

These would be very convenient for anyone working in the hospitals. Imagine easily leaving those dirty soles filled with germs at work and far from your home without having to bring a whole change of shoes.
My 8 yr old would love this he is constantly running in and out of our house without shoes bringing back soggy socks, dirty feet, dirt, germs, bugs everything..

I grew up in Canada and we had to bring outdoor boots and indoor shoes to school so we wouldn't track in snow, this would have been a great solution to avoid having to carry an extra pair of shoes back and forth if they made a boot option
I feel like two things would happen for me here.
1 - I'd forget to take off the bottom part once I get used to wearing these all over the place.
2 - I'd forget to take the bottom off when I go outside, again, once I get used to wearing these all over the place.
So either I'd get the house dirty or I'd get the part of the shoe that I wasn't supposed to get dirty.
My indoors slippers are called socks. And If I want to go outside emptying the trash I have "modern bath shoes" to slip in. The "modern bath shoes" look like real shoes, not like slippers, and cost 10 or 20 bucks.
Its 10 times cheaper to buy 2 pairs of slippers than 1 muvez lol

@@nickclark18 no I get it it's very simple but look at all the sharks that denied it aswell because it's a no name brand footware and also it's pretty useless since its basically a whole nother shoe that only has removable bottoms for its own sock looking things that goes with it ...it would make sense if it was an attachment for a common shoe but it's not the only way this goes viral is for a company like Nike to ok put it on one of their shoes but then again why would they when they sell slides lol and for 110 dollars double the price of it's competition hell Nike makes 30 dollar slides it will be successful but it will take years and millions of dollars they already admitted to failing on production imagine what else they have to fail in to find success if they can't sell it to a name brand why you think dj took the deal asking for so much because he's not looking to build he's looking to sell

If you check their Facebook page apparently some people have been waiting months for their shoes. I’m considering ordering a pair but going to use a CC if I do so I can dispute the charge if needed. I’d suggest everyone else do the same
