He looked so healthy and amazing here. That was less than 2 weeks ago. He went downhill so fast. RIP Daniel Thomas. You will always be loved by so many.

Dan please speak to the palliative care team about your pain. I know it’s hard to get the balance right in terms of pain management and the sedative effect of the drugs but please don’t suffer if you don’t have to. If that means not posting videos then so be it. You’ve given us more than enough. It’s all about you, your new wife, your family and Poppy now. Lots of love xxx

im not sure if it would work for you Dan but even benzodiazapines can block pain and relax you and help you sleep.. I know they are addictive but at this point the goal is to live as comfortable as possible. bless you always and forever ❤
I had been on Taxol for almost two weeks when I was sitting in a deli eating lunch. When I went to wipe my mouth, my entire beard came off into my napkin! Mate, you are going to be as smooth as the day you were born, but just know you are fighting back. That makes you a winner! That makes you a hero to many! That is what hope is all about. I remeber being afraid to go to sleep when I was going through chemo. I felt like my face was melting off when I lost my eyebrows & eyelashes. It strips you bare of your humanity... & beyond. I turned 30 on my last day of radiation. I was dreading turning 30 before the cancer. I was damn happy to still be around when I turned 30. My husband was beyond a saint for putting up with me. Having someone with you makes all the difference.
I am a Hospice nurse. There are meds for the pain and nausea which I know you know. But please take them. The drowsiness will get less as your body gets used to the meds and you may even be able to do more things and have more strength to keep fighting. Love you!

My father was 32 and I lost him when I was only 6 years old. And now both of my siblings are fighting aggressive cancers. Seeing Dan be so strong gives me hope for them both. RIP Dan. What an amazing man.

Eugene Fraser They really can. I have six cats and they are always fighting in a playful way or what else. But when I am feeling ill and lay down on my bed or couch they all come to me to cuddle. ❤️ That makes me instantly feel better.

My sister is fighting stage 4 ovarian cancer. She has stopped the chemo treatment. I love her soo much. It is very hard on me to see her suffer. I cry everyday. I wish i could help her feel better.

Hearing him say “I’ve felt better than I have in weeks” was haunting. It’s surprising just how common this second wind is right before the end, I happened with my own grandfather, and of course we all know he died just days later. Horrible horrible illness. RIP.

Yep, this is very true. Im learning about complaining of stomachache or something trivial and you have put things I to perspective. If I could take even an ounce of your pain away I would. God has to have a plan for you that far exceeds this place we call earth.
It takes a lot of courage to really talk about the nitty gritty of terminal illnesses because people would much rather just gloss over it and not share the hard a terrifying parts. I have a lot of respect for him for being willing to share different aspects of his journey to the end of his life

May I suggest that rather than praying, you do something that is constructive: a) lobby the UK to legalize marijuana for cancer patients and b) donate to cancer research.
Hilary C & EA I read about a near death experience where a person died went to heaven and the person was told in heaven to go back to earth their work wasn't done and their terminal illness would be completely healed. This is a recorded MIRACLE and the person was completely healed. The doctors could not explain how the person was healed! Miracles do happen in this world! The power of prayer works! 🕊
EA I never said it did. Marijuana provides relief from the intense pain of cancer. Cancer patients around the world use it because they can get pain relief without being doped up and turned into zombies. I'm in Canada and it's been used for years. I also have lost 4 people in the last 5 years to Cancer, and each used marijuana to keep that horrible pain at bay. That the UK hasn't allowed this yet, is horrific and cruel.
Prayer helps only in terms of one's own physiological reaction to the strength of one's own will and fortitude. Science has never shown that the "prayers" of others have had any effect.

I feel like you have set a standard and that your videos, words, strength, and love will help so many people dealing with an illness (whatever it may be) and others dealing with a loved one that has an illness. I know you deal with unspeakable pain, I know you dont want to show it. I know you think and maybe worry that we out here do not get it as much as we should but let me say, your sharing yourself like you have, so raw, so real, has made us get it Dan. We get it. Yep, almost as if the body were saying "I'll give you one last good moment, but then it's the end." Heartbreaking really. Saw something similar with my grandpa (who had Alzheimer's) in the end.
Yea heard a lot about that happening to people that get acute radiation sickness. They get sick, feel better and then rapidly decline. But did not know it was a thing in other terminally ill patients.

I have learned some very important realities of not being appreciative of each moment of life and the gift of time and health themselves. Dan, my sister went through this (she was diagnosed with stage four ovarian and it spread). She had good spirits but also very hard times. The food thing she went through. She loved chocolate but her last year it tasted horrid to her. She said she wouldn’t wish cancer on anyone, but somehow there were unique blessings mixed with the pain. She made friends and had laughs she wouldn’t have otherwise, but heck, the pain and breathing stuff was so wearying. For both of you I wish I could make it better. She passed in 2016 and hung in far longer than anyone expected, but like you, she was a fighter who, through the pain kept a sense of humor (sometimes a dark humor, but still humor). She was a nun, and one of the photos I have of her just before I drove her to chemo is of her holding a cat she found. I’d post it but she’d reach down from eternity and smack me if I posted a photo of her, lol. Much love to you and your family.

It scares me how quickly cancer can take someone down- they can be at the end of their illness but still seem “fine”- talking, laughing, interacting being lucid- and within a few days or hours, they’re gone. It is devastating and heartbreaking.
Seven V : I’ve personally witnessed 2 people die from cancer- literally. Of course they were being treated- until all the treatments no longer worked. Then palliative care. Are you saying it’s “easier” to die from terminal cancer that is untreated than terminal cancer that is treated? Do you have personal experience with this? How do you know? I guess I am not clear about the point you are trying to make.

It's hard to believe that such a young, bright and handsome man decayed and left so quick. I came across this channel for the first time yesterday, when I watched his last video. Words are short to describe the strength he had all along his tough journey and the strength his family is having right now. My heart is with you in your grief.

I believe human connection is a strong genetic need in everyone and you tubers who share their life experiences, such as yourself and Emily Hayward, allow your subscribers to fulfill that need on so many levels. it is very rare to reverse but i did have a friend paula; stage four plus non hodgkins lymphoma ; they gave her last rights; it was everywhere; they gave her massive palliative dose just for pain and it killed every cancer cell in her body and she is alive 20 years later? so aint over till its over

My mom went through the changes and how things tasted also. I understand the agony you were facing from watching my mother. Of course, I can’t personally feel it the way you do, but I know how loving someone so much and watching them hurt so terribly can be. im not sure if it would work for you Dan but even benzodiazapines can block pain and relax you and help you sleep.. I know they are addictive but at this point the goal is to live as comfortable as possible. bless you always and forever ❤

I had been on Taxol for almost two weeks when I was sitting in a deli eating lunch. When I went to wipe my mouth, my entire beard came off into my napkin! Mate, you are going to be as smooth as the day you were born, but just know you are fighting back. That makes you a winner!

I remeber being afraid to go to sleep when I was going through chemo. I felt like my face was melting off when I lost my eyebrows & eyelashes. It strips you bare of your humanity... & beyond. I turned 30 on my last day of radiation. I was dreading turning 30 before the cancer. I was damn happy to still be around when I turned 30. My husband was beyond a saint for putting up with me. Having someone with you makes all the difference.
To go from looking normal and glowing to in hospice within 2weeks is crazy. RIP. My condolences to the family.

I am a Hospice nurse. There are meds for the pain and nausea which I know you know. But please take them. The drowsiness will get less as your body gets used to the meds and you may even be able to do more things and have more strength to keep fighting. Love you!

I read about a near death experience where a person died went to heaven and the person was told in heaven to go back to earth their work wasn't done and their terminal illness would be completely healed. This is a recorded MIRACLE and the person was completely healed. The doctors could not explain how the person was healed! Miracles do happen in this world! The power of prayer works! 🕊
EA I never said it did. Marijuana provides relief from the intense pain of cancer. Cancer patients around the world use it because they can get pain relief without being doped up and turned into zombies. I'm in Canada and it's been used for years. I also have lost 4 people in the last 5 years to Cancer, and each used marijuana to keep that horrible pain at bay. That the UK hasn't allowed this yet, is horrific and cruel.
Prayer helps only in terms of one's own physiological reaction to the strength of one's own will and fortitude. Science has never shown that the "prayers" of others have had any effect.

Dan, I feel like this is the most real story I have ever watched. I feel like people will be watching this for a very long time. Honestly, has anything like this really been done? I feel like you have set a standard and that your videos, words, strength, and love will help so many people dealing with an illness (whatever it may be) and others dealing with a loved one that has an illness. I know you deal with unspeakable pain, I know you dont want to show it. Yep, almost as if the body were saying "I'll give you one last good moment, but then it's the end." Heartbreaking really. Saw something similar with my grandpa (who had Alzheimer's) in the end.

Yea heard a lot about that happening to people that get acute radiation sickness. They get sick, feel better and then rapidly decline. But did not know it was a thing in other terminally ill patients.

Dan, my sister went through this (she was diagnosed with stage four ovarian and it spread). She had good spirits but also very hard times. The food thing she went through. She loved chocolate but her last year it tasted horrid to her. She said she wouldn’t wish cancer on anyone, but somehow there were unique blessings mixed with the pain. She made friends and had laughs she wouldn’t have otherwise, but heck, the pain and breathing stuff was so wearying. For both of you I wish I could make it better. She passed in 2016 and hung in far longer than anyone expected, but like you, she was a fighter who, through the pain kept a sense of humor (sometimes a dark humor, but still humor). She was a nun, and one of the photos I have of her just before I drove her to chemo is of her holding a cat she found. I’d post it but she’d reach down from eternity and smack me if I posted a photo of her, lol. Much love to you and your family.

It scares me how quickly cancer can take someone down- they can be at the end of their illness but still seem “fine”- talking, laughing, interacting being lucid- and within a few days or hours, they’re gone. It is devastating and heartbreaking.
Seven V : I’ve personally witnessed 2 people die from cancer- literally. Of course they were being treated- until all the treatments no longer worked. Then palliative care. Are you saying it’s “easier” to die from terminal cancer that is untreated than terminal cancer that is treated? Do you have personal experience with this? How do you know? I guess I am not clear about the point you are trying to make.
So true about not seeing the really awful times but it's very personal,nobody wants to be filming at a time like that..so..don't hun..you look so very tired but it's been a very busy few weeks,even good times burn energy...Love to you both...xxxxx

it is very rare to reverse but i did have a friend paula; stage four plus non hodgkins lymphoma ; they gave her last rights; it was everywhere; they gave her massive palliative dose just for pain and it killed every cancer cell in her body and she is alive 20 years later? so aint over till its over
That's what I fucking said too, WD. It's not over -- until it's over. Longer he lives, is longer there are options. I don't believe in miracles, but there is always some science just around the corner that can turn the tide. I hope.

You are still alive here on YT. I went through chemo last year, and I thought of your bravery the whole time. God bless Dan. HIs work lives on.
My mom went through the changes and how things tasted also. I understand the agony you were facing from watching my mother. Of course, I can’t personally feel it the way you do, but I know how loving someone so much and watching them hurt so terribly can be. I will always believe that those who fight cancer or some of the strongest and bravest the world has ever seen. You are a warrior, Dan. My heart breaks for you and your loved ones.
