Euphoria is often painted as "unrealistic", but realism isn't the point! The visual, emotional language of Euphoria is used to communicate the grand, urgent and sometimes demonic feelings of being young.

I've said it before, and I'll have it engraved on my headstone: Realism is overrated. Art has NO OBLIGATION to be realistic.

Ethan was the unsung king of the season, I loved how he was able to move on from Kat, and played multiple characters in Lexi's play.

Did anyone else notice how little Lexi wrote for Kats character in her play. Somehow she knew everything about everyone except for Kat. Because no one really asks Kat about her life. The only time they seem to show interest in her was when she has a boyfriend.

Labrinth is a genius! His Soundtrack brings everything together, the visuals, the camera movement!

It is annoying how they say this "glamorizes" ugly things.... especially after season 2 - ain't shit glamourous about this. It is heavy, and a constant reminder of how painful the disease can be.

Liked the season overall. But, just felt too many good characters got sidelined to focus on some storylines that either were just not interesting or overstayed their welcome. However, the cinematography is still fantastic, performances are still great, and while I didn't like the fact some characters felt a bit sidelined (Kat) or just utterly abandoned (Mckay). I still think the show still holds up well even if I personally think it's not as good as S1.

As a teenager, I like Euphoria because it's realism feels empathetic. Throughout highschool, I've sat through so many classes and awareness champagnes, which warn teenagers about the dangers of "sex and drugs". The only problem is that a lot ( not all) teenagers' already deal with those issues and are often scrutinized/ignored for it (instead of given help). Euphoria depicts those weird complicated issues. I've definitely met people who act like the characters in Euphoria and have similar problems, yet they get over looked as "bad kids".

The ‘lack of perspective that makes everything feel like it lasts forever’ part is soo significant. Part of the reason I never realized how childish I was as a teen was because at that time in my life I was the oldest I’d ever been. It’s only now that I look back and realize that I was still just a kid at 17.

I really liked this season, though I wished that they'd done more with Kat and Jules. They seemed wasted this time round, though in Kat's case, it would be due to Barbie not wanting to take part in certain proposed storylines.

Great points. I was just thinking about the car scene with Nate and Cassie and how it's actually kind of silly that it's just him speeding and cracking beers open with his teeth, and then she spills some beer on herself, and all this is is enough to make Cassie want to sleep with her best friend's ex. Like it's sounds so dumb on paper, but the way they filmed it and the song that was playing on the radio, it perfectly captured how a moment like that would feel so significant and special to a drunk teenager.

    Euphoria is not realistic-it’s surrealistic.

the visuals is what the creators count on to captivate the audience, it's a predisposition for this show at this point, to be visually stunning i mean

The erratic high speeds of Nates driving was connecting Cassie to him through her daddy issues when her father was speeding in their car.
