I have been in IT field for 17+ years and the strange sting is that I have never heard anything good from anyone for CTS 😂... My junior even reported about poor culture when he was posted in CTS Chennai...being a North Indian and rest of the team being from TN, they spoke local language during formal meetings 😆

In IT services, most of the associates are under the false impression that they are paid in accordance with their knowledge and skills. They are simply paid on market demand at a given point of time.

Uske Manager ne apne colleague ko ye baat bata di. Colleague ko acche points chahiye thai to usne apne manager ko bata diya aur fir next hi din dono ne bohat pressure kiya mere dost ko ki abhi heavy project rahega ye wo aur ussko turant resign karaya.
2-4 din mai usko mail aya ki ek hafte mai release karwa dege company se.
Mera dost galat fahmi mai tha ki 3 mahine notice serve karega karke.
But he might have got 3 months salary.
One advice I will give to especially fresher, don't go with just the "Brand Name".
I see fresher, waiting for more than 1 year just because of "Brand Name". Give more interview and go for who pays you more.
This even apply for experience people who are stuck in Service based just for Brand Name.
I myself was in such illustion when I started my career, but someone gave me good advice that don't just stick towards "BrandName".
So currently in "Small" scale service based company where WFH is there, Bi annual increment (minimum 5% for C band and B band 15% and A band 20%+), that to twice a year.
So what I wanted to day is, explore, give more interview, don't worry about layoff (because this you can't control), and go for company who pay you more.

I have spent over 2 decades in IT and ITES sector and i can tell you that Cogizant has a poor working culture. Cognizant as such is good on paper, however the Leadership is heavily concentrated in Chennai and bureaucracy rules amongst these people. They are so power hungry that they just don't let anyone other than someone speaking Tamil enter into their premises and leave their offices with a smile. That's the treatment they give!! Before joining Cognizant, i was even warned that CTS stands for Chennai Tamil Sanghatan and i just ignored it, later learnt it the hard way while i was posted in Chennai.
I think 2023 is going to be tough for top service based company in India..

Not 5 months training, they first take test if you want java FSE training, after clearing test they provided me 6 months training, taken n number of tests , after clearing n number of test , allocated me in non tech project, neither preferred location they provide nor project. NO EMPLOYEE FAVOR POLICY.

They're firing on a resign basis.. I'm pretty sure about it but on the other hand it's not like you're on bench & they'll make you resign forcefully..
Maybe who're in bench for several months can be the case with as cts has 45 days of bench period but they keep people on bench for so long.
On the other hand people on bench have to clear the interviews with the project also .. so in that case those people are unable to clear the interviews !
I am in Cognizant for last 7 years, I can confirm this is not 100% accurate. They changed appraisal cycle, however they gave decent.
What CTS do with lateral hiring with 8-10 years experience? Do they get projects directly or they also need to take exams or search for projects after joining

Well..... The hike depends upon the rating you will get based on your performance...
#performances will be 360
Means ... if you are working only for your project deliverables then you are just giving 50-60 % of your overall performance....
So basically you need to work out of your project as well.... like giving some new ideas and innovation, learn new tech from udemy or whatever, participating in many other activities...
But they will give such kind of project related deliverable pressure, so that you will never get chance to explore anything else...
So the rating you will get on an average is 3☆ or 2☆ so based this rating your salary increase will be 10% of CTC(including tax ) and 8% (including tax)

Bhai - 3 times hike in 18 months is just a mis-guiding & mis-communication. I am working here for last 3 yrs and explaning the fact ---
Hike in oct 2021- this was for FY 2020-2021
Hike in oct 2022 - this was for FY 2021-22
Hike in April 2023 - they have changed the appraisal cycle from oct to April - this hike for FY 2023-23
fact is - CTS given hike only once for every financial year. As the Appraisal cycle got changed from Oct to April,Fortunately employees joining in between April 2021 to march 2022 getting hike 3 times . But Cognizant is not giving anything extra here . But showing the fact like cts giving second hike in last 6 months , they have given single digit hike . 5 rating got 8/9 % hike .
