Last year I had a small holiday in Ireland. It was a great feeling to find Mulhare's grave in Cork. I finally met one of my favorite actors from my childhood.

Knight Rider was kind of therapy to me because I was bullied at school when the show was running in my country. Good always defeated the bad. By the way, this trip in 2019 is still my latest to abroad countries, thanks to covid pandemic. I have plans for next year though, hopefully covid won't disturb them.
One of the best scenes of the entire franchise, in my opinion. The rest of the movie might have been bullshit, but it gave us this scene which showed us how deep their bond really was. You could really feel the deep friendship between Mulhare and Hasselhoff and I'm glad to have this franchise in my life.
I think you're right about the rest of the movie being garbage. I mean if you see how kitt's reunion with Michael in the same movie, he never had that much attitude in the tv series.

Those words always hits home for me...each and everytime I tend to lose faith in something (the justice system mostly) and I go back to this clip and after watching it over and over again, I always remind myself to keep fighting to make things right because things can change.

Not one single fan, not one single true fan, would EVER have to ask who 'he' was. One of the greatest pairings of man and machine ever-- together again. In concept, a beautiful thing. In execution, not as much as it could have been.

Yes and no. You have to remember the model of Trans-Am would’ve been 9 years old when this came out, and the movie was set in the year 2000 so it would’ve been 18 in the movie.
@@tonymontana1179 Yeah plus kit would have been seriously out dated tech wise, a long with the software too etc. Kitt would have been something like a 186 processor back in the early 80s when this was set, we would have been in the pentum 3 era.
I would of loved it as well, I don't know about anyone here but when I found out that jackass had KITT dismantled, that peeved me off. KITT was the face...or scanner for the Foundation. Should of kept KITT and his body and just updated him with new programming and upgrades instead. That Trans Am was old but that is the only model that is loved and can only be KITT. No newer Trans Am or Mustang will improve it.

@refbiz I don't know the actual name but it is the theme to the movie. Almost every time I hear it I first feel joy because I know it's a reunion between KITT and Michael but at one point the song makes me sad.
Actually that isn't true. This movie was made in 1991 -- he didn't get sick until after he finished filming his part in Out To Sea in 1996. He went to see a doctor, who diagnosed lung cancer. He grew rapidly sicker and sicker and went in and out of comas for the last three months of his life, dying in May of 1997. They killed him off and cut Michael down to a guest shot because they wanted a whole new look for the series, that failed miserably. I hated this movie and them killing him!
They had a good relationship. Like father and son. Both fits their parts perfect. The music is different and the car was toooo different to the trans am.
Nice bit of nostalgia. I agree in part with some of the other comments. Theres a funny scene with James Doohan aka Scotty from Star Trek. Funny though as they say all ten 10 Star Trek feature films when he appeared in 7. Yes it was made in 91 so perhaps like Rocky they thought it would go on forever. The cryogenic part re the freezing of criminals was a bit dumb as the year 2000 was only 9 years away when this was made so no way that was ever going to happen. What next perhaps flying cars "Great Scott I know this is heavy".
In the movie, when Micheal was bringing KITT back online (strange he now understands electronics like Bonnie), KITT mentioned they split up last time they saw each other. Anything know as to how and why they split?
I just thought KITT meant splitting up with Michael as in when Michael quit the Foundation, but couldn't take KITT with him as he was Foundation property.

my mom told me this is not the same place as the kaskaskia river where they had cabins like this in Illinois but she said she loved that they used a similar like setting in a different state that helped jog people's memory to a simpler time truth

FLAGs new boss needed the space etc for the new car, so holding on to a car that was 20 years old etc would have been costing money. So they ended up dismantling it etc.

I love this scene. Devon Miles and Michael Knight talking to one another. Devon needing Michael's help cause for a lot of reasons and remember what Wilton Knight said, "One man can make a difference" and Michael being that man. Though I understand Michael's need to retire and enjoy life, but he can still make that difference.

In the scene where Russell Maddock and Devon Miles were having the meeting with the city officials, liked what Maddock said to them. Those city officials are perfect examples of liberalism being a mental disorder.
This is such a great scene. Why did they have to undermine it with transitioning to KITT in pieces? Michael should have walked into a dark warehouse and KITT's scanner come to life in the distance, recalling their very first encounter. Would have been beautiful, but the 'creative' team working on this bore-fest were a gang of idiots not even qualified to sweep the studio floor.
I know I've said in the past that this movie sucked, but, now that I realize from a nostalgic stand-point that it wasn't all that bad, after-all & there were still some things I really didn't like about it, though it's border-lining on nit-picking, I'd still highly recommend this over the 1997 epic failure known to us as 'Batman & Robin'.: :) . this was the final one with the Knight 2000 and Michael. The Original 80's series ended in 1986 and this movie was supposed to be a backdoor pilot for a new series which never spawned until the 2008 with the Knight 3000 and Mike :-)
Funny how ever time Michael Knight says no to something , Devon all ways brings up the "we saved your life bit" seems Michael has more then repaid that more times then you can count and deserves to live a peacefull retired life. Devon then goes into a speech of how he feels and what is important in life to help people when you can....Which is fine not saying it isn't Devon just seems like type of person who is all work no play so to speak.
This movie is nothing more than a boring, tired epilogue of the TV-show. Nothing in it has the atmosphere or look of the original true Knight Rider. Superman 4. had it's returning cast as well, and it was a complete disater. This movie is better than that of corse, but still awfully poor and weak.

Funny how ever time Michael Knight says no to something , Devon all ways brings up the "we saved your life bit" seems Michael has more then repaid that more times then you can count and deserves to live a peacefull retired life. Devon then goes into a speech of how he feels and what is important in life to help people when you can....Which is fine not saying it isn't Devon just seems like type of person who is all work no play so to speak.

This movie is nothing more than a boring, tired epilogue of the TV-show. Nothing in it has the atmosphere or look of the original true Knight Rider. Superman 4. had it's returning cast as well, and it was a complete disater. This movie is better than that of corse, but still awfully poor and weak.

I Didn't care for Knight Rider 2000 that much either, I Gave it 2 stars.
all the other one after this one including the latest KR 2008 are even worse.
