note: these are opinions
there are 4 factors considered in this video:
strength, emotional and mental intelligence and manipulativeness. for some characters there are also external factors that decide their survival rates.

Since he the protagonist that’s why Honestly because having someone who is literally the ultimate solver of murders and crimes in a killing game would make your chances of getting away with it low so taking him out would have been in their best interest if he wasn’t the protagonist.
I think it’s because they just assumed he’ll always be with others
only one person killed to get out and that was Kirumi. All the others had different motives where it didn't make sense to kill Shuichi.
Kaede: Wanted the mastermind gone
Kiyo: only killed girls for his sister
Gonta: Manipulated into killing Miu by Kokichi, and Kokichi wanted to kill her so she wouldn't kill him
Kaito: Killed Kokichi for the greater good, to end the killing game
so, only Kirumi had a real reason to get Shuichi killed. She only chose Ryoma because he was the easiest target.
@Monarch Booterfly I don't think Tsumugi had anything to do with who killed and who didn't. If she had decided who killed who beforehand, she would have known about Kokichi's and Kaito's trick in chapter 5.

But didn’t Shuichi suspect it was her for awhile in the trial? He knew it was her but he was just afraid to speak out because they trauma he went through.

Just shows how much of a troll he is. He knew she wouldn’t actually kill him because she would be the most obvious candidate ever, but I think she still would’ve really harmed him if not for Kaito’s involvement. Honestly she should’ve settled for breaking his legs or something.

Imagine getting no injuries on the battlefield and having a 96% chance of survival, and then getting bodied before the first class trial even begins
Well, Mukuro's biggest weakness was Junko herself, which Junko being Junko, exploited flawlessly
That was exactly junko's plan, if you read the Mukuro "IF" story where she doesnt die, she fights junko and break everyone free, including sayaka and leon.

It’s makes sense that Rantaro had the highest survival rate because he knew how to stop the game. He was distant from everybody else so that no one suspected him smart move but the one thing that made him suspicious was the fact he didn’t know his ultimate talent. Which was why Kaede suspected he was the mastermind. If Kaede didn’t set up the trap and Rantaro had made up a talent, Neither of them would’ve been killed. Although the fact that Kaede had the chance to use the The First Blood perk not using it was a smart move because she would’ve been the next target. This Just leave Tsumugi. If Rantaro made up a fake talent and didn’t leave too early then it’d be unpredictable on where he had went. But Since he left a little too early which left everyone confused Tsumugi knew what he was planning to do. Leaving him alone. So it make sense Why He had a high survival rate. But it’s not because he survived the last one, He knew how to survive the current one. He just had a bad excuse for the Title “The Ulitmate survivor”. He could’ve used he previous ultimate “The Ultimate Adventurer”

I think he should’ve trusted someone instead of going solo cuz that was gonna make him more suspicious and easy for Tsumugi to kill him. @@Pilipilochka I'm going off of what Junko Enoshima did (Which Mukuro states in the What If manga, is that Junko always make it possible for her to lose, It's just super hard though)
And Junko only broke the rules in DR THH so she could actually punish Kyoko for breaking the Rules of the killing game (And we know that rule breaking punishment are not based on their talent, which would also explain the CH5 Execution being just school theme)
Actually, this is true. If tsuruge didn't kill rantaro, He would've survived. Not even kaede killed him. Tsuruge killed two people in a very unffair way.
I'd give Korekiyo at least 70+% because:
1) serial murderer - somehow this man should be manipulative and intelligent enough to cover up nearly 100 murders; also, carrying the corpses or bodies on hands need some physique, ofc.
2) human studying - experienced enough to predict others' behaviour.
3) field trips - high chances of having survivor capabilities.
But emotional part... Yes, if doesn't touch him, he is very cold-blooded and rational and very helpful in trials (he literally one of the students who helped on trials), but there comes sister subject... yeah...
So the final rank imo - B-SS-S-SS
And Angie with Tenko are lower imo: Angie indeed the cult leader, but Korekiyo knows how do cults work, and Tenko loses to him in manipulative and intelligence aspects (but Kork totally loses in psysique, lol).
Also, Toko even pre-UDG could be dangerous because of Syo/Genocider Jill (high agility and speed), but the controls of Syo was the problem.
I agree with everything except Angie, Angie literally manipulated a big chunk of the cast and took over the whole school for a moment, she’s a master manipulator and definitely very intelligent

The guy at 7:16 is called Keiji Shinogi, he's from an indie game called Your Turn To Die, its a death-game style game, slightly similar to danganronpa. You can play it for free on a couple of websites, but it's also on steam. I really recommend it, it's amazing
I love how Yasuhiro’s only point of reasoning was his 30% accuracy.
Makoto has more chances to survive than other stronger characters is shocking, to later realize that, looking back at his talent and at his relationships with Byakuya and Kyoko (which have high rates), it's not so surprising. Otherwise, Ryoma could've survived, if Kirumi never had the motive or the knowledge of his “great” joy of living
The only character that could kill Makoto is Izuru who barely gives a shit and does not kill unless in self defence.
Yeah, Makoto's luck is real life embodiment of plot armor that does not let him die (at the cost of minor injuries and events that are unlucky but not to the point of being lethal):
a) it cleared him of accusations in CH 1 ( "faulty door")
b) it made Makoto literally survive his OWN EXECUTION by combination of Alter Ego interfering (which was not possible in case of Kyoko) and falling from a distance that was at least 30 metres WITH NO MAJOR INJURIES
c) it made him flawlessly avoid wrench thrown from Junko in DR3 anime by slipping up whilst totally unaware of the attempt on his life
d) is literally impossible to predict the exact way it would work - JUNKO HERSELF admits that she is not able to predict it (unlike that of Komaeda's).
Aside from personality that increases his chance for survival, Makoto's intelligence should not be underestimated, either - chapter 5 demonstrates him holding his own against Kyoko directly during the trial (true, she did not want to win at all costs but still was commendable; ending with losing on his own accord or pyrrhicly winning) and in chapter 6 spotting the thread of evidence from number of lamps that ultimately leads to solving the mystery of the school is no small feat.

I do kind of feel like shuichis rating on manipulation could be a bit higher due to how even though his lies in class trials aren’t very smooth they do work due to people trusting him but still really good ranking

yeah that's what it was, like the content in the game revealed. ultimately shuichi was afraid of losing kaede so he held back on exposing the truth until he realized that he must do it for everyone in the class.
@@gumbitoicic9977 Shuichi was fooled and he only realised when he figured out Kaede was the one who could easily get the murder weapon. After that he still was unnsure until Miu showed the photos saying it was "Concrete proof of [his] theory"
I believe he actually didn't suspect anything until the class trial, when he realised she could've gotten the murder weapon, and began wondering about the flash.

Like in Danganronpa 3 Anime, during the part where Junko wasexecuting her, she managed to stay for a long time despite being severely injured and bleeding a lot. She has a lot of stamina and is also very smart so she would be very careful and wary of people around her.

When you read all canon lore material, you can clearly understand that Mukuro had no chance as Junko's sister
& Sakura best gurl was too selfless and caring of others survival to begin with to let her own life get in the way of a solution for her friends to get out alive. Which to me, lower their % considerably.

Okay so, in V3 there’s no limit on how many people you can kill, so. Miu invents the killaton 9000 and kills every other student. Can’t get caught if there’s no witness
I feel like kokichi would have a lower chance of surviving because even though he is manipulative and smart, he is one of the shortest characters in v3 and not to mention almost everyone hates him, and pretty much has an assassin targeting him pretty much making him a good candidate for death

Fun fact: In the UTDP if you max out Kokichi and Kaito, Kokichi is actually stronger than Kaito. This fact has baffled me for years.

Komaeda could 100% win a danganonpa game if he had actually wanted to. Ignoring the fact he has actual ultimate luck, he's extremely cunning and intelligent. He planned the first murder really well (and honestly the others should of been more suspicious of him), then he straight up went and perfectly framed the traitor with murder despite it being suicide. Sure his master plan didn't work out because it relied on them not figuring out what actually killed him, thus them getting it wrong and everyone but the traitor getting axed, but it was an amazing plan up until that point.
Pretty sure Makoto would be 100% since his Ultimate Luck doesn't let him die. Even when he tried to kill himself while brainwashed, he still got saved from the situation. So he can't be killed by others and he also can't kill himself

I really don't think Angie's should be that high. Sure, she's manipulative and can get people to protect her, but that wouldn't (and didn't) stop her from dying. She's pretty short, has no athletic or fighting ability that we know of, and just walks in dimly lit room by herself in the middle of the night while a killing game is going on. And she wasn't killed for it, but her manipulative and obsessive personality is also a factor that would make her a target for murder by the people not manipulated by her.
Ngl this makes me want to write an au where there are outside forces betting on the killing game contestants and these percentages are like public knowledge. Or something like yttd where they're calculated in advance and the contestants find out later

I feel like giving Kokichi & Nagito such low strength scores is a bit exaggerated.
Kokichi survived two shots on poison arrows long enough to enact his plan, which requires some serious endurance.
Nagito had to endure holding onto the spear's cord while stabbing himself repeatedly in both thighs & the arm holding the spear, for as long as until Chiaki threw the poisoned grenade. Adding onto that, he had to still prop the knife & slam his hand onto it hard enough to impale it while doing this. You can't do that with anything close to an F in strength.
Also, times where Nagito & Kokichi were overpowered were by Akane & Maki respectively, who are both some of the strongest characters physically.
They're not insanely strong or anything, but the rankings given seem like too weak for their feats.
Also: Kokichi is fast and agile enough to YOINK anything from others hands repeatedly and run away. Sometimes you just need to be fast and agile enough to avoid being killed.

yeah, since this list not only based on those 4 subject. but also on how the transparency of the game was. and he only got killed because the game was rigged from the start
I’m honestly surprised no one at least tried to kill Schuichi. He was literally the one who exposed everyone, sure Kokichi knew. But he didn’t say anything obvious until Schuichi figured it out. I would’ve expected someone to try and fail (because he’s the protagonist and their not gonna kill off 2 in one game)
Without Shuichi, Kokichi would be unchecked and nobody wants that, especially Maki.

I haven’t seen anyone talk about this but maizono’s physical prowess its actually very high because shes an idol she has to have great stamina and with dancing do much she’d be pretty strong physically aswell so i’d probably say her physical strength in on par with someone like kaito because of these factors.
Im fairly sure sayaka would have a better chance. Mostly because of her talent. Her looks and fame is one thinf, but being the Ult. Pop sensation literally makes her an Idol. Its physicaly draining having to redo dance moves over and over again. If she were to run full speed, she would definately out run a majority of the cast due to her stamina, and leg endurance from all the dancing. And being in the entertainment industry, Id argue that she would have better mental intelligence.

rantaro would be 100% if the game was stick to its rule. dude got the brain, the mentality and the cautious. hence why he survive the previous game. and in 53rd season. bro was killed only because dude was dangerous enough to the staff and needed to be dispose immediately. so the game was rigged from the start
Izuru's survival rate is technically 1100% given that he literally revived 10 people from his game, is shown to outluck Nagito, effortlessly trounce Junko and Mukuro in DR3 anime as well as casually punching through steel in epilogue of UDG. He is untouchable.
Makoto is definitely 100%, the only character that could kill him is Izuru who barely gives a shit and does not kill unless in self defence.
His luck is real life embodiment of plot armor that does not let him die (at the cost of minor injuries and events that are unlucky but not to the point of being lethal):
a) it cleared him of accusations in CH 1 ( "faulty door")
b) it made Makoto literally survive his OWN EXECUTION by combination of Alter Ego interfering (which was not possible in case of Kyoko) and falling from a distance that was at least 30 metres WITH NO MAJOR INJURIES
c) it made him flawlessly avoid wrench thrown from Junko in DR3 anime by slipping up whilst totally unaware of the attempt on his life
d) is literally impossible to predict the exact way it would work - JUNKO HERSELF admits that she is not able to predict it (unlike that of Komaeda's, which leads me to believe that Izuru has Makoto's luck rather than Komaeda's).
Aside from personality that increases his chance for survival by befriending others, Makoto's intelligence should not be underestimated, either - chapter 5 demonstrates him holding his own against Kyoko directly during the trial (true, she did not want to win at all costs but still was commendable; ending with losing on his own accord or pyrrhicly winning) and in chapter 6 spotting the thread of evidence from number of lamps that ultimately leads to solving the mystery of the school is no small feat.

Shuichi: Easy target, dependent, and was too depressed in the first trial for him to say anything (until he got a pep talk). And of course, why try to kill the mf that has exposed every SINGLE damn blackend so far? Somehow makes it past every damn day without his throat being slit in his room.

Kirigiri, Shuichi, Nagito and Naegi should be 100%, because the detectives have plot armor (the detective never dies, and is never the culprit) and Naegi and Nagito's luck would prevent them from dieing (I mean, Naegi survived an exectution and Nagito died because he wanted).
But Miu's being 69 is just perfect
so we are just going to ignore mahirus picture ?
I feel like this is mostly unrealistic when not taking into effect the chance of said character killing. Caught killers don't survive, and ai think it's likely some of your high percentage survivors would kill and get caught.
Also Angie is waaaay too high and Shuichi is waaaay too low. He built higher confidence because of his friends but he was always a great detective. Other than Kaito, no one would ever be at 1-5% based on the fact that the you can easily provide nothing to the killing game and still likely not be targeted. Being an easy target doesn't mean you're going to get targeted and a killer wouldn't always choose an easy target. The best way to not get caught is to kill someone more formidable if you are viewed as weaker.
I do think things like being a detective or just being useful will certainly put a target on your back, but I don't think it'd make your chances next to impossible.
Except for Maki, who could kill Shuichi and Kokichi as double kill and easily make it look like to frame some other characters. No doubt she already assasinated people and left evidence only pointing out to someone else in her life.
