I have to give praise to Marin Hinkle the actress who play Judith. She played her part absolutely perfect as a miserable, horrible woman.
I remember reading that she didn't liked playing her because she was terrible, absolutely no redeeming qualities.
I mean, her only likeable trait was her love for Jake but even she started hating him as the seasons went on.
I've heard she hated her character and disagreed with how she treated Alan. I think she was brilliant as Judith, you couldn't help but not like her
She is as hot as any of the gals on this show
She did a fantastic job in the role. But I can see her point as Judith is a horrible person. Perhaps if they had some of the writers who created Peg Bundy or Marcy D’arcy it would’ve worked better?
She was earning $500k per episode. I'd play the devil for half of that.
Nearly $4k in alimony is absurd, no wonder why Alan was trying to save the wedding lmao
Thanks to Charlie, who slept with and then broke up with Alan's lawyer, who took out her anger on him by promising the ridiculously large amount of money to Judith.
Considering that they're in California not really
Plus over 3k in child support
@@thecommonsenseconservative5576 What do you need 4 thousand dollars a month for to raise a child?!
@@psps2034 cost of living in California
$3875 no wonder Alan was so cheap and broke he had to make sure he always had nearly $4,000 to give to Judith
Given that he hardly ever seemed to be at work, how much did he charge for his osteopathy that he had $4,000 to give her?
A chiropractor who lives in California could've earned at least 5-6 grand easily. Depends where do you live.
@@ArcadeArea $4k leaves him with $1k-$2k which isn't that much to live off of in California tho. They're in Malibu/SoCal area so we can assume the $6k. He also has to pay for child support in one form or another. The fact that he lives with Charlie saves him a lot tho. Doesn't have to pay for housing or home utilities.
What about the child support? Over 2k and she still made him buy expensive shoes and crap, then threatened him with the lawyer he would have to pay for. Looking back, Judith was the biggest leech, Alan came in 2nd because he had to
That was just alimony. Can you imagine the child support? Lol. Charlie screwed him good.
Can't blame Alan in the slightest for trying to salvage the wedding. Paying $46.5K a year (half the average Chiropractor's salary in 2007) to someone who hates you is a straight-up prison sentence.
$46.5k and the house 😢
Don't forget child support!
@@DavidSmith-pg1obWas going to say this. He is prob paying like 5K total
You're leaving out the fact that he has to pay his taxes before paying alimony
@@DavidSmith-pg1obhe was also paying alimony to Candy too
"You got a sister?"
"Down Charlie!" 😆😆😆
In the end Charlie's karma came fill circle 🔵 when he slept with Herb's sister.
$3,875!!! holy cow, no wonder alan never had any money.
I liked Myra because she put Judith on her place!!!😂
The actress who was Myra was also Bridget later.
I also love the natural chemistry she had with Charlie, sucks she was getting engaged.
@@fortynights1513 Judy Greer is awesome. She’s the voice of Cheryl/Carol Tunt on “Archer”. She also appeared in The Big Bang Theory as Dr. Plimpton.
“Can I wear my pretty new dress?😊” my favorite line
COMPLETELY caught me off guard
get her out Herb 😂
“You also asked me to try on this satin stool sample”!! Hahaha. This show had the best writing. 😂😂
2:13
Judith " That's it! She's gotta go."
Herb " I can't throw out family."
Charlie " And that's the bitch of it, Herb."
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Gone wrong? On the contrary, Jake's final entrance was absolutely epic!
“What if they don’t want to” 😊
I would have gone with... "It only seems ten years longer."
Aha good one 😂@@OKOKOKOKOKOKOK-zn2fy
One of my favorite scenes of this part of the show’s run, and that’s saying something.
Jake with the big check in particular.
*cheque
Judith really showed what modern relationships are
Hahaha Spanish inquisition was a bad time, this is Hell.... let's get one with the big check hahah classic
Alan: Married men live ten years longer than single men.
Herb: What if they don't wanna?
Damn. Judith is cleaning this guy out.
"Satin stool sample"
No wonder Alan never wanted to move out of Charlie's house, he probably couldn't afford a home or apartment in California while paying nearly $4k in alimony.
Plus child support.
Alan had to pay alimony (almost 4k a month) than he also had to pay for her house and bills/utilities (therapy and medical included) than child support. 99% of that mans paycheck was given to her.
Holy crrappp. Even in 2024 that is a lot of alimony per month.
Let alone mid 2000’s pre financial crisis
The fact that it still even exists in this "everyone's equal" world is one of the most fckn ridiculous things in this country. That's why the equality catch phrase garbage is BS.
California
From what I remember I think Charlie slept with Alan's lawyer who then screwed him in the divorce.
@@jayare1338 its fuckin hollywood not real life on tv
A glorious and not so at the same time moment
And to think he was paying that ON TOP of child support, 🙄
Definitely a top comedy tv show.
13 seasons prove that!
"Judith asked me to try on this satin stool sample" 😅
But yet he still pays child support 😂😂😂😂
Judith - i'm not yelling, THIS IS YELLING 😂
The ending was perfect 😂
No wonder Alan was always broke as shit. Paying Judith $3800 a month is absolutely insane.
Most people complain about paying $500-1000 a month.
Actually the check was for alimony. Child support is separate. This America marriage/ divorce laws. As Herbert would say "Welcome to Hell"
I took my 23 year-old girlfriend to my 15th high school reunion.
Everyone else was married and hanging out by the bar.
I took my gf to the secret make out place over the stage and we had sex three times on the infamous red couch.
My married friends could hardly look at me through their jealousy and shame. Still no alimony for me. I win. 😘
"What if they don't want to" 😂😂😂😂
3000 dollars for some W to get for doing literally nothing but divorcing you, F society
Ähm, that money is actually payed so the woman can be a mom and raise the child, witch is also the man's child!!! No good for children if moms have to work fulltime and can't be there.
But the amount here might be pretty high, yes
@@baumwolke2078There's a difference between alimony and child support. There should be no such thing as alimony.
@@toddgaak422 oh really?? Okey then I agree with you. Sorry, in Switzerland both is called alemony.
@@baumwolke2078 In the US there is Child Support and Spousal Support (also known as Alimony). Child support covers living expenses for the child and the cost of medical and this typically lasts until the child turns 18. Spousal Support is payments directly to the spouse to allow them to maintain the same lifestyle they had when married. Spousal Support in many States lasts basically forever and only stops if the receiving spouse remarries (like in the show) or one of them dies. Men get taken to the cleaners in Divorce Court in the US. I saw a case where the Wife cheated, got pregnant with another mans child, filed for divorce to be with her lover, and still got the house, the car, child support, spousal support, half his retirement, half his investments, and half of his Social Security when he hit 62yo. The Ex-Wife never remarried and the Ex-Husband paid 50% of his income in Spousal Support for 51 years before he died.
@@baumwolke2078women aren't very good at raising children alone, they usually turn them into criminals or drug addicts.
Never get tired of this
The problem I have with many sitcoms is they seem to focus more and more on the negative aspects of each character,as the show goes on, I mean in the first couple of seasons Judith was mostly harsh but as soon as she married Herb she became straight up horrible towards Alan just for simply being her ex husband
Judith started to hate Alan after he dated Kandy. Because she was younger and prettier and much better with Alan.
Ye cause thats what's funny soy boy
Modern American sitcoms are all about disfunctional relationships.
@@1drink2drink-ty4fjseems like modern American sitcoms tend to either purposely choose to have their characters shown to be unabashedly horrible people (I call it “the Seinfeld effect”, but a more recent/current example would probably be “it’s always sunny in Philadelphia” as well as arguably shows such as “married with children”, the American version of “the office”, etc) or tend to try to be “award winning” types (which I guess could be called the “modern family” effect). Long gone it seems are the type of shows that for the most part are supposed to just make you feel good while watching and at least in the time they were made, have characters that would be considered likable (like for example, “friends” or I suppose the older, if more corny by todays standards “the Brady bunch”)
Judy Greer guest starred in several of my favorite shows. This one, but also Modern Family, Big Bang Theory, My Name Is Earl, and others. She is a hilarious comedic actress. She and Missi Pyle are the queens of comedy guest star roles.
Don't forget Archer, and of course Arrested Development.
and Ant-Man
Check or worms Brilliantly done xxxxx❤❤❤
Alimony shouldn't exist. she's adult enough to provide for herself.
The ABSOLUTE funniest episode ever. Judy Greer was a knockout.
"Can i wear my pretty new dress"?
Alimony + child support = a wife that didn't have to do anything to support herself. The courts make it seem like women are incapable of learning after they marry a man, but they do learn how to take advantage of them legally.
Boy Alan was taken to the cleaners.
I had a crush on Judith for the entire run of the show.
Should've still done the big check🤣💯👍
"Hey Herb! Is this a bad time?"
"The Spanish Inquisition was a bad time. This is hell."
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
And as we all know, nobody expects the Spanish inquisition 😂😂
Again, what did Herb and Alan see in Judith?
She was hot, when she wasn't being a beeyatch...
Tight little body.
Ever see Judith in a swimsuit? They were likely hypnotized by the sight. Even Charlie was mesmerized by that.
@@JBM425 It's very true, the actress had a stunning body, but that means little when Judith the character is always in a foul mood and doesn't want to be touched.
@@palaceofwisdom9448Charlie could've had his way with Judith when she was in her bikini 😂
He's paying her $3800 in alimony??
No wonder he's living with Charlie. Damn!
Ryan Stiles was great! 😂
This is yelling! -Judi
"Say goodbye to These"
Myras dress I believe is something they picked up from friends where Rachel wore that pink dress where she was in Barry and Mindy's wedding
Big check is hilarious
I love how Charlie said he hate alan but in the end if Alan have a good or funny idea Charlie is on board
2007...dear god where did the time go? Brit here, living in Asia: haven't seen many TV comedy shows from the USA lately whereas a few years ago, we had Two and a Half Men, Big Bang, and before them, there was Cheers, Frasier, Seinfeld, Friends...there was Always Something to watch for a good laugh. What is the current top comedy show on US Terrestrial Television today?
Reality show called LGBTQ
lol, funny...but I'm still curious ...are there ANY network comedy shows being made these days, worthy of watching? In the UK, the 'Sit-com' died a death a long time ago.@@tsangchim
@@swanvictor887The Simpsons is on season 34 I think, what does that tell you? They just started a second Frasier series, what does that tell you? 🫢
lol, it tells me that network broadcasters are flogging ideas for too long and the new Frasier is on one of those new, weird cable streamer thingies, isn't it?
I was just curious as to what the normal, broadcasters have as their top sit-coms today.@@mentalphilanthropist35
They aren't allowed to be funny anymore. It will offend someone
This show went downhill after sheen was fired.. still one of my favorite actors..drug habit and crazy behavior and all.. 😂
I thought he died and that's why he got replaced?
@@introvertedashecknope, went nuts and ended up badmouthing one of the major showrunners, so he got canned. They killed off his character though.
There should be no such thing as alimony.
Yeah, it's a wild concept when you think about it. Feels like something from a different time.
damn! the original of the series were the BEST! Ashton, nah, Charlie was the BEST FIT !
get her out herb 😂
Ryan Stiles is an amazing and under used talent. When they wrote Charlie out of the series they should have had hir move in with his astranged son.
Spanish Inquisition was a bad time this is hell !
What if they don’t want to! 😆
That gigantic Publishers'-Clearing-House-sized check is HILARIOUS(!!!) ... I wish I woulda thought to do that with My ex-wife's last "child support" (which always Actually went for weed, cocaine, and liquor) check. Never Again.
Gotta love Ryan Stiles
Charlie didnt miss a beat
Judy Greer you stunning woman
The greatest tv show ever.
That’s a reach
Man I love .Ryan stiles
Down Charlie!
Was that monthly…? That’s one of my checks
I hate Alan for being a cheapskate but Judith really screwed him over
No. Charlie screwed Alan over. Actually Charlie screwed Alan's attorney then dumped her, and that was her revenge.
She took his house his car and had him pay 4k for alimony and god knows how much for child support
She was perfect.. she was the best girl for Charlie.. of all the girls that came on the show, she was my favorite
jake should be going to the best schools and all sorts for that kind of money
Jake is an idiot. No school is going to fix that.
the show was always better with Charlie sheen. Ashton did not fit.
3875 thousand per month? WTF??? Of course Alan is broke 😂😂
Holy crap, Alan pays Judith 90 plus a year.
She is Walden Schmidt's wife 😮
And that's just the alimoney check. I wonder how much he paid in child support.
for someone getting 4k a mth she sure is waspy
She is not even married to her second husband but She can't help on abusing him already
4K!????
Sorry Alan to be the bearer of bad news, but you could've saved yourself easily 100k by putting a 10k hit out.
You’re not my supervisor!
3.800 für Alimony? Holy crap
Alimony is the biggest scam in the world!!!!!
I don’t know how it works in California, but where I live, you only have to pay alimony to an ex-wife if she can’t support herself, because she is unemployed, disabled or sick. Since Herb moved in with Judit, it’s reasonable to assume he’s sharing the household expenses, which means he’s supporting her financially. It doesn’t matter if they’re married or not. Alan would only have to prove that to a judge, and… ¡NO MORE ALIMONY, NO MORE ALIMONY!
she lies, say he herb does nto pay any bills, and i dont think she ever had a job.
Im not married. But almost 4k dollars for alimony is too much? How much is the regular?
That was back in 2007...! In the 2024 ajust to inflation is about $5.800 !!!! 😮
It's just a number. Anything to keep Alan broke. Otherwise, you don't have the running gag. It could be $!,000, it could be $100,000.
Charlie the crack of dawn aint safe
When she says--"Can I wear my pretty n ew dress". Gets me so.
Anybody noticed Herb sister is Walden's wife
Nobody expected Spanish inqisition.
Cardinal!! Bring..the comfy chair!!!!!
$3875.32. I wonder if someone had a reason for the value?
Holy shit, Herb's sister was Walden's ex-wife?!
Really glad this show aired when it did, it kind of prepared me for the clown world we live in now.
This is , was and will be the best TV show in America! Nothing has come close!
HAPPILY married men statistically live longer than single men...key word happily
Divorced men are counted as "single" when those stats are complied. Since a man is 7 times more likely to off himself in the year after divorce than any other time in his life, it's an atrocious way of cooking the books. Marriage is literally deadly for many men.
3.8k per month?
Yeah. Women are watching this and thinking ca ching...$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Alimony as a concept is fucking mental and 4K a month is even more mental
Why even bother getting married
The date on that check is my birthday. Except the year.
It's a TV show.
She is beautiful.
$3,900.00 per month is a lot of money!, especially on a Chiropractor's salary. No wonder Alan is so cheap and had to live with Charlie. Judith shouldn't have been getting alimony in the first place. Judith gets the house too, a house with a pool and a jacuzzi. Alan also had to pay several hundred dollars per week in child support for Jake too.
This show was so well written and the cast worked so well together. Not much funny to be found on TV these days.
It’s funny that in real life Jon Cryer actually took his wife to the woodshed in their divorce
To the woodshed?🤔
She did try to have him killed
Both divorces happened after two and a half men. I guess he learned something from the show.
