1, Build a RAFT they are faster with Shelf holders to hold crates. 2, only pick plants as needed as they spoil (pipi, aloe, etc.. or craft cures 0f each plant type) 3. don't use lashing for water purifier (they are hard to come by use palm leaves) 4. to carry more items fill inventory with empty crates to take with you to other islands, and fill them up carry back full crates. 5. make a water purifier, fire, and save point on all visited islands ( this will help in the long run.) 6. make main base in middle island or close to air craft carrier.

You are wrong about the lashings as there are an infinite supply but the palm leaves are limited. I agree the 1st day to use palm leaves, but after that, don’t use again.

You didn't have to just drop materials, if you quick craft some (such as fiber or stick etc...) you can build a pile which lowers lag and loading cause it's 1 item versus several. Also you can just drop meat on a fire to cook it.
