- We asked Korean hip-hop legends #MFBTY to check out some of the leading artists in India's independent music scene. The musicians featured are Punjabi rapper Prabh Deep, Mumbai up-and-coming collective SIXK, North Eastern artists Big-Ri and Meba Ofilia and of course India's biggest hip-hop superstar, Divine.
This series highlights some of India's most popular independent artists and focuses on music and videos outside of the film industry.

This was amazing watching MFBTY reacting and knowing a bit about the Indian scene right now! I mean I listen to Korean rap and am familiar with their styles and art. Watching these guys get a bit of a glimpse into our culture and being admirable makes me me feel so proud! Thank you Rolling stone India and please bring out more artists like Jay Park, Bewhy, Simon D, Dynamic Duo, GiriBoy...I'd love to see their reactions too.

Maybe because of the language barrier.
Well not just Tamil, but most regional artists are subjected to language barriers.
Even though we have great artists in KL, TN, MA, Ts etc most of them don't get recognized in beyond the boundaries.
Secondly, India to foreigns is mainly bollywood & Hindi . So it's hard but one day things mite flip over.

There is such a rap song made by San E but I wouldn't know how famous all the rappers included in his song are. I forgot the name but he got a Punjabi rapper in it and rappers from other countries too.

I have been watching boss in the mirror and it was actually my first show live show that i have watched. I usually watch anime. And that led to watching korean culture and drama shows. Somehow I watched a few minutes of boss in the mirror on tv and found the concept interesting. So i searched CZcams and stated watching it. I have watched how Boss tiger has taken steps to help his family and company. I am very moved to say that he is the first korean rapper who i was introduced to first and he is reacting to something Indian. For me, i dont have enough words to express because seeing him here is so magical. Love you Boss Tiger.

Yes. Your fact is right but the album name also has another meaning to it. Divine named his album kohinoor because he used to hang out with his friends in kohinoor market city which is in kurla mumbai. And he dreamt of doing MBA from kohinoor business school and also buy a house in that area. You can look it up on his wikipedia.
