I know people think he is talking about how he thought he counted wrong but that just doesn’t make a lot of sense because 1. Eliza taught him how to count on french but during the duel they counted in English 2. He didn’t count wrong anyway 3.Eliza didn’t know that he counted wrong so why would he apologise for something she didn’t know about, it makes so much more sense to be apologising for not letting it go. This is just what I think but it’s fine if you don’t agree 🤔🤓🤪
