40 years ago I got to be friends with 8 colts. I was told to get them halter broke and to be able to work with them. I never got to ride them but they all let me pick up their feet, throw a blanket on and put the halter on. They all trusted me. To me that was the key. I loved it!

So true! You ladies are awesome. I'm getting to know and bond with my new horse buddy before going any further. I respect and want to be respected. I will care for and protect. Share. Encourage. Before I even climb up.
My service dog respects me for the same reason. Love.
    Excited to learn from you!

It's amazing how this theory is true with most animals we are intimate with that are either here or pack like, that social type. She's basically talking about the positive premack principle used to to train and connect with animals for service that want to do the behavior, they don't perform they respond from within. Blessings to the journey and good health for all.

My friend and I just bought a horse in another part of the country I will soon be moving to so I cannot wait to meet her so I am really looking forward to doing this course as it sounds just perfect for my personality, I do not like the idea of always wanting to control these sensitive animals so I think this course will help me so very much!! I will be meeting her in about two months time when I'm all packed up and ready to move!! Thank you for all that you do for our beautiful animal brothers and sisters!!

Also, check out The Carolyn Resnick Method, she teaches a wonderful program as well. Absolutely amazing!!!! As a young girl she spent two summers with wild horses and learned to become a low on the totem pole member of the herd while learning their behavior and communication...she then was able to move up the ranks in the wild herd and actually was able to ride the lead mare -----with no tack. So nice to see more and more horse folks using and learning and promoting these concepts. LOVE IT! The horse becomes willing once he knows he is able to leave on his terms. Training becomes magical.

What is suggested, regarding the practice of pure liberty for riders who are taking lessons with school horses?

I love this is it too late to join? I have a lease horse that I spend 5days a week I live and breathe for him I thought we had a great relationship and I give him choices but when I see this I feel I can do more as we’re struggling with the canter transition and he’s very heavy handed and sometimes bucks but always stops and doesn’t try to toss me we’re just struggling at some parts I think this could help us along

I started at 55 so i was being so easy on her i did alot of ground work, obstacles i got her to go thru a labyrinth obstacle without touching her she did really good i do back and front disengagement without touching her she'll back up 20ft to me on her own lol i think she wanted a butt scratch. Its really fun and some days she like naw. Its ok. And no treats at the time.also taught sign language right foot up food,Hay. Left foot up treat.

My mom recently bought a mare and a gelding both were camp and lesson horses. Since they’re are first horses. I love both of them but the gelding and I just click better and the mare and my mom are better together so for my grad gift my mom bought the gelding completely and he was my gift I absolutely love everything about him. And I really want to do liberty really bad but I want a program that I can follow which is why I would’ve loved to join this but I think I’m too late! The gelding(peanut) and I are becoming really good friends and people have told me they can tell he really likes me and I think we would be great at liberty and it’s definitely something I want to learn but don’t know how.

I don't agree when she keeps saying , "...there is nothing wrong with that.", regarding harsh traditional training. Any training that is not true liberty is not about the horse but the selfish rider. I enjoyed her, I just wish she would give straight direction, instead of your fine but not fine...but fine.

Sounds great, but it's too expensive for me, if you two really care about horses, don't americanise it into an exercise of capitalism, after all you two have no money problems as you have paying customers
