I just got one of these. It's a replacement for the older version I have of this same bag. The Explorer Rack and Quick Track system alloys me to switch bags easily - one is loaded with my gym supplies and the other has all my beach gear. If you can find the older version of this bag, grab it. It has much more storage, and includes velcro straps next to the quick track connector for added protection against slipping off, which my new one did the first day I used it.
For those asking about compatibility, it will work on any rack, it will work on a seat post rack. However i recommend against these for different reasons. Seat post racks have a minimal weight capacity, and the MTX DXP bag is capable of carrying large amounts of items. And the other reason is that regular bike racks don't have the MTX system for quick and easy attachment, and you will have to mount it with bungies akwardly. The explorer rack can handle 55lbs,
It rattles and rattles and rattles between the rack and hard plastic under the bag. Some improvements are needed like rubber dampers and it definitely needs a lock/safety catch because it can just slide off if not clicked on properly.
I got a Topeak rack, and may actually consider this as a backpack replacement for school, on light class days, or for any other trips I make. Have to see if I can get a good look up close first, to judge if it could hold a few notebooks, a book or two, spare shirt... as is I am just using a bungee net on my back pack to avoid having a back soaked in sweet when I get to my destination.
Very good bags but the fabric needs to be stronger and resist ripping the side bags can hold a 12 pack of Pepsi and I've used them for grocery shopping for over two years and now the side have starting to rip I've had to sew them two or three times now they just need to be made of a stronger material, also make bigger stronger zippers and pulls, maybe on the bottom of the the bag the plastic slide maybe run something like a steel cable that you can pull out and lock it to the rack so you don't have to take the bag off all the time when you go into a store of course somebody can use wire cutters and cut the cable but at least it makes a little bit more difficult to take off with your bag.
Hi. Congratulations on your product. I have just bought a DXP Trunk Bag and I still have to choose a MXP trunk to go with it. I was wondering if the beam racks will serve me well if the panniers are down or if the panniers will keep hitting the back wheel. Thanks in advance.
Everything functions properly czcams.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Nothing was damaged in the box aside from a decal on the fork. The decal was missing a piece of a corner but I ended up peeling them off anyways. Assembly is easy BUT make sure you tune up the derailleurs. Both the front and rear need adjusting. I'd advise going to a bike shop but I opted out and put in 10+ hours with the help of CZcams. Ended up fraying a shifter cable but all in all I learned from the experience. The Brakes work well but the front caliper needs adjusting or at least mine did because the rotor was rubbing against the pads. Make sure you swap out the seat, grips, and pedals. For the short run you'll be fine though. I've read that this bike isn't built yet for hard trails but I just need it for the city. PA has some of the worst roads and being in a mountain this was a great choice. Worth the investment!
Was excited to get the quick track system, but this bag has a rattle that’s driving me crazy. It doesn’t fit snug enough at the rear or needs some sort of damper. Any suggestions?
Karen Baers You can use it with any rack, but the topeak rack has a quick release that's also sturdy that can only be used with topeak bags. The rack I'm going for is this: www.evanscycles.com/products/topeak/super-tourist-dx-f-disc-rack-ec008130 it's only £35.99, and that's the most expensive one as it's specifically for disc brake mountings. So, if you do feel like you'd eventually want to get a matching rack it wont put you that much out of pocket. But as I said, you can use any bag with any rack.

The large embossed 'Topeak' on the sides is a deal breaker for me.

I love my Topeak trunk bag!

I use this everyday.
The carrying capacity is 22.6L stated in the video. Is that total capacity with the panniers?
Yes.
Was excited to get the quick track system, but this bag has a rattle that’s driving me crazy. It doesn’t fit snug enough at the rear or needs some sort of damper. Any suggestions?
what does this cost
So this bag will combine with a seat post rack yes?
Hi.. Is it waterproof?
I can't on my frame, I see in the video the bag is attached to a seat post rack, will this work? please help
would the pannier be large enough for a 15" macbook pro? Are the pannier rigid on the side next to the bike when open
Yes. And Yes.
Do you have to have Topeak rack or can I use mine and it has Velcro attachment straps?

can I use it on BikeHut Alloy Pannier Rack ?Or it is only compatible with its own rack?
They have strap bag version but if you want the MTX quick trax you need their special rack.
