I love that Ayato was working to abolish vision hunt decree in the shadows, everything makes more sense now like how easily Sayu was able to get the papers and that after signora death resistance was already here, amazing details and even fatui agents were trying to kill him but he did everything alone what a madman.
With the point you’ve brought up, that reminds me that the resistance received support/resources from an anonymous tip. I could be remembering the storyline wrong and the supply was connected to delusions but if not, ayato is the most probable answer. Could also explain how easily sayu was convinced in helping the traveller and yae retrieve the papers

It is just how they roll with their storytelling. Annoying in a certain way, yes it is but at the sametime revealing too much can lead to impatience as well.
Heck the APHO plot is the biggest example of this as it is literally set after the intended ending of HI3rd with a lot of hints to how HI3rd is planned to end but also avoiding revealing the full picture how HI3rd will end.

Edit 2: Although they all follow the same sort of structure (maybe they use multiple '.' or ',' or 'WOW THIS IS SO INCREDIBLE YOU SHOULD TOTALLY CLICK ON THIS' etc), usually one sentence and a link. If you paid attention, a lot of the details in Ayato's demo is similar to Ayaka's. The most prominent one being the sword glowing scene at 1:00, which, in Ayaka's demo, is also at 1:00 into the video.

genshin truly outdid themselves this time. god this music... it's screams japanesse nobality yet responsibility and swiftness as water just like Ayato himself. taking on his shoulders the whole kamisato family needing to do everything to protect what his and ayaka's parents achived, fighting the raiden in the shadows being a double agent.. yet this music is also so tender, so welcoming... so protecting. i love this.

I thought it’s strange that Kazuha and Gorou’s troops walk there in Tenshukaku with ease, but thank goodness that Ayato’s involvement explains everything. Finally, the plot hole is filled with answers.

it's to signify that they're the same clan. the clan is a very big important aspect of one's identity in older japan (definitely older than even sengoku era). i love how they try to include such cultural notions

I think the reason why the beats in ayato's demo feel quicker is that he's actually fighting many dangerous enemies, which is different to ayaka who was mostly sparring/there were little appearance of enemies in her demo. If his demo felt as slow as ayaka's it wouldn't really fit the context
I just realized that Ayato is the only one with a song that the melody isn't played in string instrument rather a woodwind
I want to see how Ayato acted before their parents died and before he assumed the position of being the Yashiro Commissioner, curious of how he acts without all of those responsibilities.
We probably will see that in the continuation chapters of his story quest some time in the future

@@local-raccoon-dude7850 maybe, but wasnt the fireworks in the beginning of the demo the ones that we had to set off near the statue to distract the soldiers for sayu to get through? plus im pretty sure that the former head of the kujou clan's building is located within tenshukaku, since we later follow kujou sara inside tenshukaku when she found out about the documents

I came back because Ayato has been my luckiest pull so far. I even got his Haran at 10 pity. All of the efforts I’ve put on prefarming and waiting for him paid off. This OST sure is so relaxing and I love it sm 💙

This is my understanding
Back in the Archon Quest we waited for 3 days until we got the documents from Sayu. This is what happened during those 3 days, Sayu infiltrating to get the documents. But in addition to that, Ayato assembled some of the Shumatsuban to assist Sayu and at the same time help the resistance hide and get near Tenshukaku. We never actually went back to Watatsumi Island after we woke up with Yae Miko (after she saved us) and immediately confronted Sara in Narukami Shrine (1st encounter).
The Resistance just waited somewhere near Tenshukaku until 3 days later we finally met and got the documents from Sayu and Ayaka from the Teahouse, met up once again with Yae and Sara back at Narukami Shrine (2nd encounter) to show Sara the documents of the Tenryou's corruption, caused Sara's uprising which lead to the battle against Signora and leaving to finally find the Resistance at Tenshukaku.
So 3 days wasn't just random number made by Yae. It was enough time to gather the Resistance near Tenshukaku, thanks to Ayato. It was all planned.
@@Liam-bq1qp I think that mostly makes sense. My memory from that is quite long ago, but I remember Sayu got the documents almost immediately. But it would indeed take more time/days to plant the resistance.
@@zackang4731 Oh I remember now. We did get the documents from Sayu in 1st day BUT we met up with Yae Miko and Sara after 3 days. Those 3 days was just gathering the Resistance without alerting the guards. Then they just waited there until Sara's uprising.
I think Ayato and Yae Miko planned everything. I've always noticed how specific it was that Yae Miko said 3 days.

And that's also why people were disappointed with Ayato's thought about Itto or EN Ayato that is. Sure, it can be mistranslation and the voice direction again but considering his upbringing? Nah!
I think it's good Ayato is like that. Genshin could use more variety for their characters. Ayato or EN Ayato strikes me that his interaction is not always free and sometimes it's of good will to help your mental state but he was probably shocked how well or Itto returned the "kindness" that he showed him. It's also why he has a hydro vision. Ayato said that any means is of fair game to him. Familiar? Because Childe as well. Any to give him power. Xingqui too. Hydro males are similar so far.

Fun fact: Ayato has 9 different sheath animations: 5 for each of his NAs, his CA, elemental skill and NA during elemental skill (All share the same), his elemental burst, and idle. The only move that doesn't have a custom sheath is his plunging attack, and he sheaths like Kaeya afterwards

Ayato is such a powerful figure and the Fatui knows it. they even sent out an asassination attempt while Inazuma was on the verge of crumbling, knowing that Ayato will be left exposed and vulnerable. this behind the scenes easter egg is so cool!

Ayato's lines are the closest we get for a character to explicitly admit they can kill or already killed someone. His teaser said he could draw blades for the sake of protecting his family, and here he told the fatui none of them might be able to come back in one piece when they faced him
Edit: people commented here are right too, but for me, i have not read/listen them admit (verbally) they kill people explicitly, their lines are more like they could defeat or subdue them. I might be wrong or forgot though. Also i think most characters did kill people, just in teaser or trailer like this, the lines don't really imply killing, perhaps for making the game more family friendly.
Kazuha's teaser literally has him tear apart human soldiers apart with his ult which is more direct if we're talking about this

this whole demo is actually the easter egg for the archon quest, amazing. They revealed what happened on the other side of the island during the fireworks decoy and sayu's infiltration

If he was going to help Ayaka then why did Yae mention that Sayu was the easiest ninja to convince to help with the infiltration? If Ayato was gonna help anyways, why didn't we just ask him from the start since the shumatsuban clan is his personal special force team and wouldn't there be a stronger or better ninja for the job beside Sayu?
@@SpeekofDee because at that time were the archon quest was there was not an ayato (or more they did not create his design yet ) besides sayu may look lazy but think about it the smaller the infiltrater is the better looking at the level of security there was ,therefore she's better fit than any other shumatsuban clan (ofc adding the fact that it's better to use a playable character than a side one )

mihoyo writer really likes the "show; dont tell" narration type. And as a writer myself that's something I appreciate a lot. It works better when there's a visual representation but it's also doable by words, like making someone else relate the events that one as a reader didnt see.
@@brandon2173 Have to slightly disagree here. Sometimes they do more "telling, rather than showing". Prime example is Kujou Takayuki's punishment. They built up the Vision Hunt Decree, the Fatui and the Civil war, with him being responsible for 90% of them. He's an utter scumbag with a titanic ego when we meet him, yet all of his comeuppance happens offscreen, mentioned only by Kujou Kamaji and the bulletin board. It'll be like Vader taking out Palpatine to save Luke but we only get to hear about it.
I can't wait for the third character demo album...Ayato's track is definitely up there with Eula's when it comes to my favorites!

Yes I'm so happy he isn't like how everyone portrayed him otherwise he would be my least liked character
Head canon of theirs so once he turned out different they are very disappointed but I like that Ayato is a little bit hard to approach or is a little mean and indifferent to other characters. EN Ayato that is. People saying he isn't like that in the CN but I like it! Wouldn't hurt to have a proud character for once and Ayato is the clan head of a thriving nobility rather than a declining noble family like Eula's.
I think that gives more variety than all characters being friendly. Reading his lines and his story quest which are posted, you really feel the difference in status. You just don't get to buddy buddy him immediately and why the people prefers Ayaka more. He doesn't mind if he is overshadowed by Ayaka since his focus is stabilizing the clan and the national security of Inazuma. The servants while not totally afraid of him is still cautious.

When you think about it, Inazuma has a surprisingly dark theme, here we see a person of authority actually facing the regularities of assassinations while not once was it ever hinted in Liyue that someone like Keqing and Ningguang ever faced attempted assassination as well as governmental corruption.
Maybe it is because they are in peace time, when in the past the four out five Yaksha were corrupting and killing themselves, we do not know if civilians were involved. Also, the plot of Mondstadt and Liyue do not finish at all, so we will have a small chance to see that

Mental warfare and sabotage are more often seen as the type of rivalry in Liyue, imo.
I think Liyue was bit dark near it's ending since Childe nearly committed genocide on Liyue harbor and he murdered multiple millieth guards. All the while Liyue's leaders couldn't do anything about it cause "diplomatic immunity".
In Liyue, people are more concerned about business and trade. In Inazuma, rival among the clans so they can rise into power
