- CITIUS MAG visited Kenya for the first time in June 2023 and got the chance to watch Eliud Kipchoge and the NN Running team for a track workout. Kipchoge will be racing the 2023 Berlin Marathon on Sept. 24 to try and lower his world record of 2:01:09.

I’ve long pondered this but honestly can’t conclude otherwise: Eliud has the most elegant, effortless marathon form of all time.
It just doesnt feel right . How can he run so perfectly ? It is Beautiful . His body was meant to this .
Indeed, perfect running form. I sort of feel the same about Jakob Ingebrigtsen over the middle distances, just an effortless quality while generating tremendous speed.
@@molder2233 Agreed!
He definitely makes it look good. However I think Paul Chelimo has the most elegant running form. I think many people would agree with me. Paul is certainly not Kipchoge, but he definitely has better form.
@@tyresejackson9665 Track form, yes!
The GOAT is so focused in every traning. His ability to stay in the zone is incredible.
Lovely! Thanks for this insight!
The best distance coach in the world
Wooooza💪🏿💪🏿
Kipchoge runs so effortlessly and elegant
Kamworor is also a legend
OMG!
Pushing the envelope!! I tried this recovery method and hit a new PR matching the pace 2:45s-3:15s
10 x 1km
Needless to say... Loving the content!!!
You should link the Athlete socials in the videos
🤩🤩🤩🤩
kipchoge head is so still when he runs
Is there Wilson Kipsang in the video??
Coach Sang needs to advice Augustine Choge to pace himself in marathons. He has not finished one in a long time and he's wasting his career. Maybe try & run the half, 25ks and build that stamina.
I was thinking that. You'd think he could run 2:06 considering who he trains with and his PBs.
@@deanevans3968 I've seen him run with the lead pack and blow up on numerous occasions. Maybe he needs to change coaching. I don't know what's happening there. I think he can run 2:05 with pacing and the right mindset.
@lordaries5498 definitely, I remember watching the NN marathon and the commentators saying they're surprised he went with the second group considering his record. The must've been 2 or 3 years now. And he showed at Boston he still hasn't learnt
@@deanevans3968 sadly he's yet to learn. I think training with Kipchoge gives some of them the illusion that they're in that 2:01/02 shape. Pacing will save his career. He just needs to lower his standards and race wisely. By now he'd have ran a 2:05 maybe 2:04 but...... Oh well.
How is it possible that they run so effortlessly at 2:50/km? How? What the fuck?

Strong Afrikan mens challging the untapped potential
What kipchoge did he eat in the morning?

The flat bottom is so interesting
@@tylerodell3368 in principle it should make a even smoother transition
is that aregawi in the back near later reps of the Ks?
No
Any idea on what the blue device Eliud is wearing on his right forearm is?
Heart rate or blood glucose monitor
Gloucose monitor
glucose monitor. allows him to see his energy levels and use nutrition to fuel properly
is that Kiptum training with Kipchoge? 😳
If so, the future is even more exciting than imagined…. 🤯
No.
@@CitiusMag 😢
Wait, so is one set of the workout run 2k, then sprint 1K, then rest (walk 100m, then jog 100m = 1:40)? This is done 5 times?
Nvm, I looked at another video from 2018 which explains it. The 2k pace is 5:50 and the 1k pace is 2:50, then rest.
The estimated 2k split is incorrect in the video.
That was confusing me 😂
@@brianmitchell8811the 2k split is actually the pace (2:52/km so ~ 5:44 for 2km)
@@miller10 why would the 2k split and the 1K split be the same? That’s the part that doesn’t make sense to me. If the splits/pace is the same for each km why are the 2k and 1k separate? Why not just say 5x 3k? In the 2018 video I saw, the Coach specifically says “slow, then fast”.
Ugh so no NYC this year then...
Boston put the doubt in him. I think he may give up on that quest.
What is the blue thing on his arm?
glucose monitor or heart rate monitor
Age can't lie, Kipchoge is a legend, but his peak already ends
