    Interesting point about what value actually means. To me a baselayer is the most important layer for a day outdoors as it’s the one that you’ll spend all day in, and yet is generally the layer that everybody skimps on. I can only guess it’s because people want to spend their money on the garments that other people will see, which if you think about it is nuts particularly when considering outdoor clothing is primarily purchased for its utility and not for fashion.
    Nowadays we often talk about self-care and other wellbeing concepts to do with looking after yourself and consciously rejecting the inbuilt tendency to think and behave based on what other people might think. And so in some sense I think the simple act of getting yourself the best quality baselayer you can, (that nobody will see, but you will feel the benefit of) is a sign that you have your priorities correct. Anyway keep the podcasts coming trekitt!

    Thank you for a great podcast. Merino is fantastic, yet cashmere is even better. If people knew how fantastic these wools are, the price would go up fiftyfold.
