Greg you and your brother have so many more fans than you will ever know ! We love you and all your musical contributions. It take's us all on a journey we never want to end ...
SO beautifully said!! I would love to post this on his page 4 him to see with your permission! You know I am 55 now and unfortunately I grew up liking bubble gum music even though I was aware of the Allman Brothers, but thanks to my hubby-I am a bigger Gregg Allman fan than ever now! Better late than never! :)
Lot of recent videos I have seen of Derek he has been playing without the slide more and more, Im really liking the balance were living in a time of one of the greatest ever, if not the greatest!
This guys are incredible!! One of the best songs of ABB!!
Damn this is good . We miss you already Gregg .
Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks... ah yes.. !

Jack playing his famous $64 pawn shop Strat
Derek Trucks....King of the slide. RIP Gregg Butch Barry Duane
Those of us from the Daytona Beach /Ormond Beach area are especially stricken by Greg's death as after his birth in Georgia, the family moved here, went to the same schools, had the same teachers as many of us. His death has left us speechless.
I am from New Smyrna Beach. had a good cry tonight for Gregg. His voice music and words have this Florida beach boy all tangled up inside! He and Duane gave me and my buddies some great times & memories. under the oak trees and out on the breakers Jesus be with you brother. Duane and Gregg Allman
Susanne Ayers - they were both born in TN
The music and spirit live forever bud. He's only a play button away
Dwayne once said he and dicky never competed on stage they complimented each other same w derick and warren. Four brilliant players one band what a legacy
you don't have to be from the south to love southern rock, I'm 64 now and I've loved the Allman Bros for years, West coast girl here.... saw them when they were here 30-35 years ago, Portland or.
Denene Wilcox ....... I am English and have loved Gregg's solo work and the Allman Bros since the early 70's despite it being difficult to get their stuff in the early years. Thank you You Tube.
Sure has made my life more enjoyable.
RIP Duane Barry Burch Woody and Gregg. fuck.
It definitely gave me chills .!!!!!!
Talent. It's finest right here! Best slide guitar players ever!
Don't fight over which one was the best. Each one in their own right is the best and all of us are lucky to be the benefactors of their talent, inspiration, and never ending hard work. Can we really say that an Eric Clapton, a Duane Allman, a Warren Haynes, or a Derek Trucks is the one and only greatest player? That's silly. They are ALL great players. Let's just enjoy and not fight about it; life's too short. Let's just love them all and thank our lucky stars we have them ALL!!!
They're all very fine, but Duane's eyes might well be locked on Jack Pearson the most. Undoubtedly one of the very best players on the world stage and I doubt Warren or Derek would argue.
jackcame2 It's amazing how little recognition Jack Pearson gets!A former ABB member and what a talent. He's #3 axman in band history behind Duane and Dickey,of course. course.
pearson is awesome but he is my 5th fave allmans guitarist but its a glutton of talent when warren is no. 6
Stacey Shaffer DEREK learned it from the BEST....
Brings tears to my eyes! Love that Warren Haynes! Kill or be Killed...

Yes, rest in peace brother Greg! 🙏 Thank you Jesus for his legacy! Yes Derek and Warren are completely badass! Jack Pearson gets so overlooked though! He's definitely one of my favorite guitarists of all time! So amazing! Thanks for posting this! 🙌
