CDK Global suffered a Data Breach, that cost Dealerships Millions of Dollars! CDK global was hacked back in june but it mightve cost the company over $600 million dollars. Experts believe CDK tried to start up business operations too fast, which led to them getting hacked multiple times. Companies used work arounds in dealerships while CDK was down.

I work for a dealership(we don't use CDK though) and it's been wild watching other dealerships struggle for WEEKS with trying to recover due to their dependence of CDK. I'm intrigued to see how the FTC will crack down on dealerships, especially with the recent launch of the FTC Safeguards Rule. I think this ransomware attack will have some CRAZY ripples in the dealership and financial institutions sector.

When they export labour to countries in other places, isn't it usually tier 1 or tier 2? At least in my experience, its been so.

Speculation on another side is there no data 💻back ups worst yet what happens to car buyers person data if put on the Dark web?
You would be absolutely astonished on how things work at these large companies. Lets just say I have a close relationship with some of the companies you mentioned that have been breached recently and man oh man! It's a shit show! LOL
