I found you in December and it was something I needed…especially when we were having so many people stay with us for the holidays. I’ve been using your system for several weeks now and can’t tell you how much neater my house is, and more importantly, how much less stressed I am about cleaning my house (or how messy my house is). This even worked with my house full of people staying with us. The five daily tasks and that weekly tasks are game changes for ME. THANK YOU so much for sharing your system.
Your system is nearly the same as my own --- basic chores that get done daily (i.e. making beds, dishes, laundry if needed, etc.) but I have them scheduled for different days. The end is the same, a decently clean house all the time without trying to kill myself over it all on one day. I used to try to do that before finally discovering the Sidetracked Sisters in the late 80s. Since then I have worked smarter by spreading out my chores, a little each day. Thank you for what you do, Becky. Young women today aren't taught how to keep house but you give them simple tools to manage it. By the way, old as I am I recently discovered that dusting with damp microfiber tools really picks up dust well. Today is dusting day for me so this morning I carried both a damp microfiber cloth and damp wand with a microfiber duster on its end. Very effective.
I've been using your method of about 4 months now and it is going very well. My favorite part of this video, though, is your dog enjoying the fireplace! :)
Thanks for the video, I've been super Good at doing daily tasks for years. I figured that through out the years . It keeps your house in order eliminates alot of chaos... its the Weekly Tasks i was getting stuck, then I would just give up, I wasn't able to organize a simple and effective way of cleaning. So when did clean i was Cleaning 2-3 hours a day because i was procrastinating ignoring and overwhelmed a few days in a row, and then, I would think this is way too much time, and then stsrt the vicious cycle monthly. Yet getting mor9e and more behind😒😰 .. So thank you!! this cleared my head of being overwheled. With having to care for 4 kids on top of chores, cooking, homeschooling shopping, church, self care .... etcetera🙂
I’ve been using your method for a few years now & it works very well for me. I discovered a few years ago, I can save time by washing towels & sheets & then putting them right back in place. No need to fold. Thanks for all your great advice.
You have a beautiful home. It's so organized and cozy. I started getting rid of things I had on the flat surfaces after following your plan. Dusting is so much easier now!
I totally agree and I’m the same way. I get crabby but mostly depression and anxiety creep in when my house and life is unorganized which is why I am so happy to have found you recently. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and so I have good days and bad days so when I’m feeling good I try to get EVERYTHING done that was pushed back and I, without fail, over do it, and end up bed ridden for days. I think your system will help tremendously and at least when I am having those bad days I can get the daily tasks done and have peace of mind knowing that when I feel better I can get back in the groove easily. Thank you from the bottom of my heart
Love it! We have Wrap-it-up Friday which is the same thing. Whatever we didnt finish or get to the rest of the week we can have Friday to play catch up. Just started ur system today and I am looking forward to progress.
I loved this video! Downloaded the printable and subscribed to your blog! I am starting to love taking care of my home instead of dreading having to clean... thank you!
Great info! I'm struggling to keep up with my house clutter and cleaning with a dog and 2 kiddos. At what time in the day do you chose to do the daily & weekly tasks? I'm trying to implement your schedule and see if that works better. Would you do a DITL type of video?! That would help so much!! Thanks again for the video!!
Could anyone tell me who has closely followed the routine, how many hours a week of cleaning is this? I've been taking the cleaning one room at a time approach which seems to work but I'm spending so many hours cleaning every week that I'm not getting other important stuff done.
I have a hard time following these schedules because I work out of the home during the week plus have a 2 hour commute every day. I’m up at 6am, out the door by 7am and don’t get home until around 6pm. How do I fit all of this in?!? (Plus I have a second job that I work from home during the evenings and weekends!) Do you have any tips for me?
Rosa Valenzuela I don’t wash mine. I use a clear liner on the inside and the shower curtain on the outside, both bought from Ikea for less than $10 total. The clear one lasts about a year before needing to be replaced, and the cloth one lasts at least two. I really liked this last one I bought, so I bought three at once. I figure I’m set for shower curtains until 2024.
I scrub the liner with scrubbing bubbles (or whichever I purchased) for the mold/mildew that starts forming because the boys dont pull it close or use the fan so it never dries completely. I wash the outside every 2 months with their towels, top does get dusty, this way I can tell myself, good job!

Let me know how it goes - I think my routine will help!
🤗🤗🤗
This routine has worked for us and am grateful for it! Thank you!

Hi clean Mama,
Quick question when do you clean appliance and windows/mirrors?
I love your plan!!!
So happy I found you😍😍😍😍
Love your site! You are awesome!
Nice little tune as well as organised routine. Thanks
How do you schedule your monthly tasks in conjunction with your weekly tasks?
Thanks for the great approach and ideas.
does your duster efficiently pick up all dust? or some dust are just scattered?
I will try your routine because it seems manageable. I work from home and have a toddler so time is limited
I might have missed it but what were you spraying on the hardwood floors? Besides the kitchen and bathroom, the rest of my house is hardwood.
You mentioned that there was a video with the method for cleaning the bathroom top to bottom quickly. Where can I find that video or method? Thanks
Nice! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!

I try to do the tasks early in the day - I tend to be more motivated then :)
Brenda S Thanks for your comment, Brenda! I really appreciate it and it helps a lot 😃 😊.

Hi Monica! This blog post will help: cleanmama.com/work-outside-the-home-you-can-do-the-clean-mama-routine/
Hire some help, or enlist family
I hired someone to clean once a week when my workload got too high
Thanks for video!
Sorry if I missed this. When would you wash shower curtains? Weekly or monthly?
Who washes shower curtains?
@@lisachef67 Can one toss a shower curtain in the washer? I've just been tossing them. Eek!

Ro Va yes you can. Throw it in the washing machine on delicate. Take it out and hang it in the shower to dry.
I like what I see but I have to have a desk/office day added into my weekly cleaning and to do’s.
