I would imagine the speech would go something like this.
Zamasu: So this is the power that Saiyans have? Heh... To think, to achieve such power would require the sacrifice of a friend... It's bittersweet in a way...
Frieza: How... How is this happening!? Why am I losing to such a puny monkey!
Zamasu: Well, it's quite simple, Frieza. You see, you are not dealing with an ordinary Saiyan.
Frieza: Ngh... Spare me the "Super Saiyan" speech. I've heard enough of that from Vegeta.
Zamasu: No, Frieza, I am more than even that. I'll let you in on a little secret. I was not always a Saiyan. I was, in fact, a Kai.
Frieza: ! Y-You what!?
Zamasu: Oh? You are aware of them? Well, good for you. You see, I was not just a simple Kai. I was a prodigy. I was well on my way to be Universe 10's Supreme Kai. However, when I looked at you puny mortals, I was disgusted. To me, you were all savages. I wished to wipe all of you out to cleanse all of reality from these impurities. So, to do that, I took the body of one of the strongest warriors in all the Universe, Son Goku's. However, while I've been in this body, I couldn't help but see mortals in a different light. Not all mortals are savages. Some are smart, creative, elegant, and even... Kind... Call it cliché, but I've grown a liking to these mortals... So with that, I developed a new plan.
Frieza: A-And what is this plan...?
Zamasu: I'm glad you asked. *Makes his Ki Blade* To eradicate all evil to make my perfect beautiful reality! I hope you're ready, Frieza... Because you're about to face divine justice!

but meanwhile, kid Goku is in Zamasu's body, with no idea where he is, or what happened, or how to get back to his grandpa
If he swapped with that time's Zamasu he could get Grampa Gowasu.
Now that's what i'll call a unique What If. There was a lot of Story where Zamasu switch body with Goku or another Saiyan, but never one where he stole Kid Goku's body.

I love the idea of having Zamasu slowly rework his zero mortals plan as he lives through Goku's life, until he eventually scraps it altogether.
Somewhere, Vegeta is saying, "YEAH KAKAROT, HOW'S FEEL GETTING POSSESSED?! NOW YOU KNOW HOW IT FEELS AFTER ALL THE TIMES SEEING ME GET POSSESSED, HAHAHA! Wait, I think I just insulted myself!"

@@krocizenow that I think about it, they've both been "possessed" twice(Vegeta 3 times if you count GT), Goku with Ginyu and Zamasu, and then Vegeta with Babidi, and I'm counting the water of life or whatever it's called
@krocize I can't really count that as a true possession personally. I say that because Goku's spirit wasn't in his body after Ginyu did the body swap, they just swapped bodies with each other. In this story, Goku's spirit was still in his own body when he got possessed and taken over by Zamasu, much like the situations with Vegeta in the Buu Saga and in GT.

If Zamasu wants to understand Goku's power, what better way than to go on the same (Or at least a similar) journey?
So is this basically a path to Zamasu's redemption where he evolves and becomes a Kami-Sama or one where he becomes a Pilaf emperor of Earth and then a Frieza emperor of the Universe but a benevolent dictator? Like Zamasu offended himself for not realizing that the Gods created mortals, and therefore mortals are reflections of the Gods' mistakes. An excellent idea, I even see Zamasu developing real feelings of friendship and love, in his Kaioshin life it is very distorted, but he does have these feelings.

Is it funny that I am looking forward to seeing how Zamatsu is going to handle Grandpa’s death? To seeing how it will shift his perspective and slowly change him.
We could make it head cannon that Zalama has the discretion to interpret or to even DENY wishes based on the hearts and intentions of individuals. He is probably omniscient and felt like being cheeky and teaching Zamasu a lesson.
OOOOH... I'm intrigued. I can see the main arc being whether life as a mortal will help Zamasu re-evaluate his genocidal plan... or will he go through with it, regardless of the attachments he may form.
And poor Kid Goku. If the body swap works like it did in the original, that would mean Kid Goku is stranded in Zamasu's body, in a different universe, in a different timeline decades in the future. A B-plot or special episode from his POV would be interesting.

Why do I have the feeling that, technically, this sort of fulfills "What if Goku became a God" but instead of being Earth's Guardian he becomes Supreme Kai of Universe 10?
I do expect that we’ll see Kai Goku having made the most of his weird new life in a future part. It’s too much of a big question for him to not at least cut to it as an aside at some point. 😂😂
This reminds me of Dragon Ball Self Insert fanfiction where the said SI wakes up in a body of a character (Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, or even Yamcha, etc) and they had to keep up appearances while changing the future with their actions.
I remember hearing about one with Yamcha where they realize that maybe they shouldn't try to mess with how events go because of how that would effect everything.

@Elyseon the point of my suggestion was that Zamasu didn't know Goku's name or race thinking he was a human so he would wish to swap bodies with the strongest human.
Masakox's idea was he would swap bodies with "Earth's champion"

Time to change Zamasu's point of view
It's ironic that the slip of the tongue was Zamasu wishing to "understand" Goku's power. If he understand's Goku's power, he may result in Zamasu turning good. He'll understand just how much Goku had fought to obtain that power, and why his friends were an integral part in that. This will also result in Zamasu perhaps experiencing what it's like to be mortal rather than see it from an outside view.
I love this. I hope we also get see Kid Goku’s perspective swapped into Zamasu’s body
The fact that Zamasu shifted his Plans a bit just from some kindness being shown is really telling. I'm glad he didn't do a complete 180 but still, it's interesting to see. Still bet kid goku is freaking the hell out though xD

A interesting concept. Having a 'Kid Goku Black' from the start of Dragon Ball. It means rather than have access to Goku's power by exploiting muscle memory(like he did in the anime) Zamasu will have to experience Goku's life from the begining, and try to reach Goku's level of power that way.
I can't wait for the day when Zamasu turns Super Saiyan and says that he will be the one who protects these mortals to Frieza like someone said. That would make my day so much.
So now Gowasu has to take care of kid goku in zamasu body.
I really like how the story is off to so far. There's a good monkey's paw twist with the wish and it was thematically appropriate to have Zamasu be forced into a situation where he'd have to learn the value of mortals from Grandpa Gohan and the world that gave Goku his heart
That premise sounded so silly but the more the video went on the more interested I was in the story!

i really like the idea of the shenrons pulling a monkeys paw everytime someone attempts to maliciously use the dragon balls but if their using it for noble or selfless purposes then they dont intentionally misinterpret it.
This would be a fun what if for a series. One where zamasu goes from his goku black self to a more pure person, maybe getting his body back one day and learning to be a better person from the experience.
