so @MasakoX i know this may sound somewhat out of the norm, but would you be willing to continue this story by retconning the dragonballs to ressurect black just to see how the story would've progressed alongside how goku would've interacted with black as well as vegeta - knowing what black has done but tried to repent for? i feel like you could open a very versatile storyline that would be slightly different.
just a thought/question as i enjoy often listening to a lot of your what ifs.

I find it hilarious that Vegeta technically defeated “Goku”. On another note, I always theorized that Black occasionally received flashes from Goku’s memories and unconsciously adopted some of Goku’s traits/habits. My favorite idea is of Black hearing a particularly funny joke/story which causes him to give off the infamous “Goku Giggle”, scratching the back of his head and everything. Quickly realizing what he just did, Black obliterates everything and everyone within 10k miles as to eliminate ANY potential witnesses. I don’t know, that just really cracks me up.
It seems Goku Black is falling to the Becoming the Mask tv trope.

Part 2 starts out with Gowasu having a hole in his heart (metaphorically.) He regrets having zamasu turn evil, but since he repented in goku's body he knew he wouldn't do anything evil again. Gowasu collects the super dragon balls as zamasu did and revives golu black.

I have a hard time imagining the revived Goku Black doing anything meaningful. His character arc is over. He wouldn’t know what to do with his life
Magnificent! Honestly, it touches into Nature vs Nurture and when you have a body swap, it becomes more pronounced. More so than that, it touches on the Heart as its own entity. Not necessarily a conscious or spirit, but a force nonetheless that one must take into consideration for such emotions and feelings that scientifically are only chemical reactions in the brain.
Goku’s heart won over Zamasu’s mind, and Zamasu’s mind learned and understood what it meant to value other life.
An excellent narrative, Masako. This is definitely one to keep. (Likes and favorites the video)

You know, you could have taken the whole "Goku's body rejecting Zamasu" deal to a whole new level by still having the fusion happen. After all, I imagine the whole corruption of the fusion would be multiplied and the mindset of Fused Zamasu could have been one of inner conflict. But, I'd say this is a rather satisfying way to end the arc if it happened this way. I can live with this.

It really does seem as though this would have been the better outcome for Zamasu in some bizarre fashion. The idea that in those final moments before being taken out by Vegeta, Black would finally see some kind of "redeeming quality" to mortals and allow himself to be taken out. Rather poetic.

5) What if Roshi had Eternal Youth like King Piccolo?

@@michaellevin664 I think it could a plausible scenario . let's start from the end of the Cell Saga: gohan is traumatized because of the death of his father and also he gives himself the fault of what happened and ,sincethe fact he is the strongest fighter on earth, he take the decision to train in case enemies stronger than cell appear on earth . In order to get strong, someone to train with is a good solution (let's say this is a scenario where he has a routine studying and training) and who is a stronger pure blood saiyan who keeps training to become better every time? that's right..Vegeta. I think would love to see someone with saiyan blood in his veins motivated and determinated to improve: i think this would be a bullseye in the prince of all saiyans' pride (let's remember the ssj2's thing that gohan was able to reach). Further it could be bring intersting scenario for the buu's saga and beyond.

"The me that is not myself" turning good? Actually fun!
You know, honestly, just having that little speech of Black's at the start end with Goku's very own, "I'm fired up!" surprisingly gave me shivers.
Honestly, this sort of what-if, in a more drawn out and introspective scenario, in my opinion would have been far better than the actual Goku Black character. I do enjoy the unwavering resolve and the twisted view of justice, but I just adore the thought of repentance in such a manner; it's like, Goku Black's Final Atonement, if you will. And him ending it all by flipping the bird was just icing on the cake. One of the best what-ifs so far, to be honest.

I have a suggestion that might change a LOT.
What if Vegeta stayed evil? Starting from either: The End of the Saiyan Saga OR The Buu Saga when Vegeta got "majinified".
I think that's already a thing.

He has one video on it right now. In that video, Vegeta didn't take a nap, therefor having enough time to make three wishes, with one of them being immortality. After becoming immortal, he fights Freeza, letting the emperor hit him with everything he had, mocking him as the Prince regenerated after it all. He then kills Freeza, then Goku after Goku rejected Vegeta's offer to work for him.
Vegeta stays in hell!

Personal thought.
Black goes with Gowasu back to his timeline and destroys his own Potara to live out his life as a mortal in Universe 7 (effectively chilling with the gang as you'd expect) instead. When the Tournament rolls up, Gowasu recruits Black which motivates Black, Goku and Vegeta to greatly push themselves more than before.
Since the Tournament of Power and Broly are the only parts beyond here, for now, I actually think it'd fit really well if they were done like that.

@@ianphillips9105 Well, he could be looking to go with Goku as a way to learn how to get a handle on it, the ToP happens and he supports Universe 10 to atone for his actions and support his home universe for the duration of the tournament which is pretty abrupt after this arc.
Then after everything's all said and done with the Tournament. He heads back to Universe 7 to finish his Training and gets caught up in the Broly mess.
It's easily plausible.
That's as likely as Gohan missing his conference

Interesting how Zamasu's immortality wasn't exactly a "true" immortality, and he could be beaten like kid buu in this case.
My solution to deal with immortal-type of characters was to target something else, like their existence ,which is something that I believe the Omni King can do (and kinda did, in an overkill kind of way.)

I thoroughly enjoyed this and felt that the take on this what if was both exceptionally creative and plausible. I definitely enjoyed it.
Honestly i have no problem with the use of this trope because each villain has a unique effect on the story when they turn good

This idea of Goku trying to reclaim his body from Zamasu isn't far-fetched. We saw Peter Parker somehow do this very thing in the comics when Doc Ock stole his body and we somewhat saw Goku do this in the canon story. Well done Masako

i gotta say this was pretty good. that being said I would like to see him go on a journey and be tested to see if he does deserve a good after life, that would be really interesting.
This is pretty similar to when Doctor Octopus switched bodies with Spider-Man, he also had the body’s original host’s conciousness making him turn good and sacrifice himself for the greater good.

I feel like if given more time, Goku Black could have slowly transitioned into a good guy in a similar way to Vegeta or Piccolo. Would likely take longer, but you could see his personality shift in the GB Arc. Zamasu wanted imortality where as Black turned his nose at the notion, instead being happy with being strong and getting stronger.
This was so much fun to listen to and imagine the visuals! You’re a great story teller/ narrator :DD

I kinda get it and I'd have wished that something in the same idea would happen, I know he'd never be a straight up Good guy but still being affected by Goku's personality would've been amazing but sadly they never did anything like that.
Am I the only one who would love to see this what-if continued into the Tournament of Power? Say, Gowasu (who based on what he has seen knows that Universe 10 is in big trouble) resurrects Goku Black to fight on Universe 10’s Team in order to not only give his universe a greater chance of survival but get one last chance to prove that his pupil is not beyond redemption?

I liked it, especially how things ended with Goku's black though I found the final bit implausible. I think it would have made more sense if they beat him unconscious and restrained him or mafubu'd him
Honestly the very last part with his am on suit kind of gave me cell/buu vibes. It isn't their first rodeo with regenerators, zamasu just regenerates faster than anyone they fought before. What kind of makes sense that you would fall back on me "let's just beat him until his regeneration is over taxed" tactic like how Gohan vaporized cell or the spirit Bomb atomized buu
Brian Durio not the same thing at all. Regeneration =/= Immortal. Cell and Buu weren’t immortal, Zamasu was.
