I find it amazing how so many people think that arguing will make the judges change their minds. It’s not like that has ever worked in the past
They are told by the producers to argue and beg. That way, we get the" OH So entertaining "(sarcasm) confrontation.
Well the judge was a bit harsh on the three girls when some constuctive sdvice may have been appreciated. However those girls could not sing - well in that style as it was awful!
It works with their parents.

Sharon is a mystery sometimes. I've seen her cast the deciding vote, sending talented people walking out in disappointing tears, yet some people not as talented, she passes them through.

I do like Chloe minus the spoiled girl attitude. Without the track she actually does have potential. I think with more practice and maybe coaching to sing with the track and how to find that tune with the track then I think it would work out 10x better 💕
I think if she went away and worked on her sining and image, came back more prepared, she would have a better result. She seemed to have a lot of natural talent but it needed honing. It might have given her more confidence as well and helped her get further.

He was very entertaining.
Judge Gary took psychologically disturbed Michael the right way. Got his jacket, thanked him for coming and helped him get off the stage voluntarily. Man, you need a lot of skills in showbiz. Even pretend to be a nurse to the mentally unstable. And although this sounds silly perhaps, I do applaud Gary for handling it so graciously.
Let's hope Michael's psychiatrist will take over from here on!

People like you make me laugh, you hold someone up on a pedestal; He is no different than anyone else, He is just like you and me, he eats, and drinks and defecates just like everyone else. What difference would it make to your life if you met him? He meets people like you every day of his life, wanting to kiss his boots and think he is amazing, You could meet him today and tomorrow he wouldn't even remember you. Simon Cowel is a great business man and successful and good on him for that and what he has achieved, but would I love to meet him? Why would I? I'm sure he would have no interest in meeting me and I don't blame him for that; we would have nothing in common, I'm not in his business and he isn't in mine so what would we talk about or should I just tell him how amazing he is? I don't know the man, he may be the nicest person in the world but to idolise someone just because they have been successful in what they do is a waste of time and I, for one, have better things to do with my life.

Abby and Lisa make me mad because Lisa is the older of the two and you can hear her making comments in the background, inciting Abby to say the things she said. At the same time, she's incredibly insecure and takes it ALL out on Abby. Then at the end saying "That's the last time I do anything for her" while acting all exasperated. She's vile.

A public knows who they find entertaining. They don't always know who is actually best qualified to run a country. You're comparing a simple audition to years long campaigning/indoctrination and lies/propaganda and also overlook that for the government the US at least only has 2 real choices. Visual artists like me see color and value and composition, etc. We can paint the full picture. My family can't see it, but they can feel when something is off. When I listen to someone like Kelly Northall, I can hear some of the elements, but then I hear something off. I don't understand music, but even I can hear. She sings better than I ever could but something is off.

Some of the comments by Louie and Simon are pretty crude and arrogant to the young 16 yr old for one. 😑
You know Mason did have a point. When they air the show, there's not enough time to show all of the auditions that make it to the next round and/or the proportion of time viewed by the public isn't the same amount of time for each candidate. This gives an unfair advantage to some of the approved candidates vs showing each candidate's audition, that makes it to the next level, being viewed in the show and online in equal time. I understand that they can't show every audition due to lack of tv show time, but it does mean that some contestants get a chance of being loved before the show actually begins. in comparison to the other singers.
But there’s no denying that Mason made a terrible mistake with his approach to gain more screen time.
People were excited. This is the moment when you should be quiet and take victory, no matter what happened before. You can always argue with those responsible afterwards when the cameras are off or just accept things as they are while things are still going well for you.
They knew he was so good that you didn't have to give him much time to convince. He just didn't understand it.
He got little time because he was going through anyway. But the thing is...the bloke imagined he was having a concert, not an audition. That would explain his "artist" statement. So much arrogance. 😮

Let's be honest that one girl that told Simon what she thought is probably what a lot of people would want to tell him. We need someone to do that to Simon every so often.
mason actually has a point. If they shorten the time to less than a minute, there is no way to get a cohesive performance out there. And they tried to stop him from getting people to film it. Honestly as arrogant as he is, his performance was on point, and he stood up for himself. Ego or not.

Ladies & Gentlemen we have here a "Mason" Jr. .
My favorite scenes were the ones where Sharon (i think that's her name) was putting people in their places, and all the scenes where glasses of water were involved (particularly Louis and Debbie :) ) the one with Edna, and the singing trolls. I do dislike all the audience booing; however bad they are, they are still humans with feelings, and the audience sometimes can be very unkind. Especially with the one who went back and apologised, I got quite cross about that one. I would be glad if booing was band, it is very uncivilised and inhumane in my opinion. It would make even the best of people stressed and tense and likely to say something they would later regret if a crowd of thousands of people were booing them...... still, most of these did have a really bad attitude. I like how Simon will admit his faults, as with the Singing Trolls girl. I felt a little sorry for Louis when Sharon was finished with him... he looked lonely and sad.... :(
