  • With many new motorcycle riders joining the market daily, my friend allowed me to do a first ride video on his new 2020 Yamaha R3. This bike has been touted as one of the best introduction motorcycles and I wanted to get a sense of what I missed out on (I began on a 2017 HD Forty-Eight, hehe). Let me know in the comments if you would like sports bike content...*wink,wink* considering a new bike.

    The fact that it can keep up reasonably with his Mustang is impressive for such a small and light bike.
    I’ve been riding for 15 years, rode plenty of 750cc-1600cc bikes, Harleys and Ducati’s and Honda’s and Suzuki’s and this is my next bike for sure. Just a simple, commuter/grocery/occasional backroad twisty on the weekend. The R6 was just too much bike every day IMO feels like having a Ferrari but have only dirt roads and parking lots to ride in.
    Great vid, i’ve watched it a few times already.

I have actually found that the bike is over sprung for my weight as the suspension barely moves when I`m riding it causing me to not have much confidence in the front end.

    He should have spent the money on a better sounding exhaust for his mustang. Man that sounded gross lol. Whatever floats his boat though, its his car. It might be fast though, I have no way of knowing. Or maybe its a turbo or something? At any rate nice review/first impression of the bike. I have watched a few videos of the R3 and the MT03 and that is a common thread in all the of them, the turn signals suck. Comparing that to a larger cruiser would probably be kind of hard. Just different worlds I would imagine. Would be like comparing a mazda RX-7 rotory to a muscle car with a big block.

    • @blackbirdrides3098
      @blackbirdrides3098  Před 3 lety +3

      Ultimately, they’re very similar so it just comes down to personal preference. However, if buying new, the ninja 400 is comparable in price to the R3.

    • @MicheleAdventues
      @MicheleAdventues Před 3 lety

      I would take a seat on both and see how you like how it fits you they are quite close in how good they are. there is also a good aftermarket for both and I think the ninja 400 is also allowed in the same race category as the R3 if you ever wanted to make it a race bike later on.
