What If GOKU Learned IKARI? (Full Story)
Throughout early dragon ball glimpses of the great ape have been shown as Goku's latent potential all the way up to his fight against king piccolo where he channeled this power to come out on top. Unfortunately, this concept was abandoned with dragon ball z where the focus shifted to the legend of the super saiyan until we saw Broly utilize the Ikari form in dragon ball super. Today we explore a possibility in which this concept isn’t abandoned, but rather embraced, today we discuss What If GOKU Learned IKARI?

Why would Freeza even go to Namek? Freeza learned about the dragon balls from Vegeta, and Vegeta learned about them from Piccolo after Goku died.... No dead Goku, no Namek saga
I mean, at some point during the fight against Nappa and Vegeta, the Dragon Balls could've been brought, and Frieza heard about them through one of the scouters.
Fitting full stories in 20 minutes is very impressive. Super concise stuff as always, keep it up!

Why would goku even need to use ikari against ginyu with a base powerlevel of 1.5 million?
he doesnt get it immediately. Gohan and Krillin only got about 7x stronger initially. That boost happens over time.

Sad that Piccolo didn't turn good here, but unfortunately without him training Gohan he doesn't change. 🫤 But at least with Gohan training under Kami means the humans are stronger for Nappa and Vegeta. 🙂 I liked how there were different events going on Namek and Earth. At least Broly and Paragus doesn't live on Vampa anymore, and with Vegeta's gone here Paragus can let his revenge go. 👍 I liked how each person on Beerus' Planet training in something different Goku (Road to Ultra Instinct), Gohan (Mastering each form he has or gets), and Broly (Control his power). 🙂 Surprised that Cell was a part of the U7 TOP Team, but makes sense. Me personally I would think Frieza would be more then ready if he's preparing for Goku, Gohan, and/or Broly, but until that inevitable Black Frieza Arc it's just speculation on my part. 🤔 I wonder how Cell would react when he finds out the R&R Army is still going, and oh boy Beast Gohan with God Ki it would be more beastly. 😮 My favorite part was Gohan and Broly becoming a dynamic duo when fighting together like how Gohan and Piccolo are in canon. Anyways overall another really good full-story, and looking forward to the next one soon.

Well SSJ Ikari isnt unachievable by people that arent broly. Take Future Trunks for example, blank eyes, and SSJ exactly like Brolys ikari SSJ. What makes broly different is that he keeps getting stronger past that because of his potential and can eventually turn into the green haired form while Goku is limited to a base multiplier.

@@bullymaguire632 I mean I could do that but it defeats the purpose of realistic. I feel like if Ikari were a thing, SSJ Ikari is a huge possibility to be achieved. And you could nerf it but I dont see the point in doing so when if that were to be achieved the boost wouldnt change.

Just a question, wouldn’t Cell be significantly stronger after training, even more so than Frieza since it was stated that both Cold and Frieza are mutations of their race and are significantly stronger? Also, since he has the DNA of the saiyans too, wouldn’t he have the highest potential out of everyone there? Especially after spending time getting stronger after the Tournament of Power in this theoretical? I could be wrong though, but it’s just something I was thinking about when you brought up Cell and not having Frieza’s cells but having Cold’s.
im not sure where you're getting the information of "frieza and cold are mutations of their race," I've never heard that before. But to answer your question Cells mix of Saiyan and Frost demon DNA is the reason his growth wouldnt be as significant. If it was just frost demon genetics he would probably boom as we saw with frieza doing just 4 months training, but saiyan DNA doesnt work the same unless your broly. Even with gohan it takes him long periods of training to be as strong as he is aside from the transformations. Cell is a lot of DNA put together, so he only has parts of each species, this allows him to get strong enough in time, but also not overpowered.
@@SaiyanMotion I might have been misinformed then but I’ve heard that Toriyama said that both Frieza and Cold are mutants of their race. I’ll do some research on that then.

@@SaiyanMotionI did find something from a log that has questions answered by Toriyama in an interview. Apparently this was back in 2002, but he did say that maybe Frieza is a new hybrid species that came to be from a spontaneous mutation. I don’t know if this applies to King Cold though. Some other sources say he is a mutation but I don’t think Toriyama confirmed that.
@@SinfulEternity I think I found what you're talking about but the forum seems to be a fan discussion. Its also super contradicting with some saying original canon says "he's a frost demon" and others are saying "he's a mutation." I trust the first option more so just because cell also calls frieza race, frost demons in Xenoverse 1. Although it is up in the air so its rly not 100%

I dont like to drag a story. My pacing is unique to me so I like to do it in a full way but not overdo it.
If cell could make a complete copy of himself and not lose any power whatsoever, why doesn't he just absorb those copies of himself to continuously grow stronger
its a bit of an illusion like how he did against goku. More of a technique that doesnt last forever, it kinda doesnt make sense for him to be able to just absorb himself lol

no because originally krillin and gohan were able to save him. Goku, Tien, and Krillin didnt wait for the faster spaceship because goku wasnt as injured and didnt know abt gravity training so they get to namek the same time krillin and gohan did originally.

IKARI is usuable by Lssj or well mutated saiyan like broly in DBS and not in Z cause Z broly was a type C and not a berserker
this information is irrelevant. So if you know Trunks SSJ Rage form in DBS thats rly just SSJ ikari. Same features and same exact form. What makes broly different is his ability to take it to a stage unique to him which is the green haired full power super saiyan form.
Trunks SSJ Rage Was a form closing to god ki without god ki on the level pare with ssgssj and green haired broly in the movie is just because the animators felt to do him right because the manga didnt

Not exactly. Only for broly can he take Ikari + SSJ and eventually he can get to another stage of power called full power SSJ. No one else can do that (Atleast from what we know)

good question. Kid trunks is never born in this what if, so trunks doesnt exist in the timeline of the what if. But like I said in the video I never change the future timeline cuz its kind of a separate thing so that trunks would still be alive and he has the canon story.
