  • I’m joined by fellow CZcamsr, Fufski, to eat some amazing Indian food in Flushing, Queens of New York City. Before Fufski arrived, I stopped at UGLY Donuts & Corn Dogs for a delicious doughnut. After that, me and Fufski stopped for a snack of chaat at Flavors of India. Finally, we went to The Hindu Temple Society of North America, which is most commonly known as the Ganesha Temple. The temple houses the Temple Canteen, which is a South Indian restaurant hidden in the building’s basement that serves some incredible dosas!

    The paper dosa is so good, even just by itself! Great job, guys!

      Thank you so much! I really try to highlight all of the unique and diverse places in NYC. There's so much more to the city than the typical places people think about.

      Haha! Thanks! His video is very good and goes into a lot more depth and detail about the food. We filmed his scenes first and I thought it would be a bit strange to pretty much repeat my reactions to every bite of food we had so I just did the highlights.

    Astoria Queens has a Bangladeshi community, have you tried Bangladeshi food? It’s really good, it’s similar to Indian and Pakistani food but has its differences too
    I recommend Bangladeshi fuchka, samosa chaat, beef bunna curry, chicken roast, Bangladeshi biriyani, prawn curry, dhaal (lentil curry or stew), Bengali Sweets (aka mishti, they’re desserts, ras malai is a favourite)

      I have tried Bangladeshi food, but not enough. There's so much more I want to try. Thank you for the suggestions, they sound delicious! I appreciate it!

    Some of the desserts you had were actually Bengali desserts (originating is present-day Bangladesh and West Bengal in India)

      I didn't know that. Thank you! The desserts were really nice!

      @@Jamesnu -
      You’re welcome! In south-Asia Bengal is known for creating the best (and even the most famous) sweets/desserts, which we call mishti or mithai,
      My favourites are ‘ras malai’, ‘finni’, ‘jalebi’, ‘gulab jam’,

    The chemistry between you and Foosky ... have you had any other collaborations?

    • @Jamesnu
      @Jamesnu  Před 11 měsíci

      Yeah, I have some older videos with him. In one we were at Gramercy Tavern, in another we were eating Albanian food and the other we ate Yemeni food. We even should have a new video coming out soon.

      @@Jamesnu I was trying to be subtle but I guess I was too subtle. I meant have you thought of collaborating with anyone else?.

    • @Jamesnu
      @Jamesnu  Před 11 měsíci

      @@KEMET1971 Ah, yes I'm always open for collabs if it's a good fit, but it can be tough to do at points with reviewing restaurants. Most of the time when I eat out, I prefer dining on my own schedule, which can be pretty tough to do with another person. Plus, it's hard to get all the footage I need with another person.
