as somebody that has done the s10 swap works amazing... tuck is amazing via spacers and the rim you run.. but i promise you you will feel like you lost your soul... the age of the truck and the respect it demands you will want to go back stock frame..... i did the s10 short cab long box works amazing but that feeling... got og frame and did the mustang 2 mm
I like the s10 frame on mine the original frame was ate up with rust. I got rid of the spacers on the rear and went with a wider rearend and 3 link I actually bought 2 more trucks and I’m going to build another using the stock frame and see how that goes.
Was what I had now it's completely different and there's nothing really to see they needed to be telling people when they paid to get in the damn list is not there prices it's also frustrating I have work I want you to understand I work for months trying to get this work out where the fans did not suffer and those people refused to even speak to me I went there
I'm also building a 1948, using a S10 chassis with the Coffee N Customs kit... how did you beef up your rear corners for mounts? You have any pictures of that? Killer build, it looks great!
What radiator did you end up going with? I'm using the original 98 s10 radiator, and it is way too wide, making the hood not fit. And how did you wire up the headlights and tailights? Thanks!
HELLO TRYING TO BUY A 55 WITH A S-10 SWAP NOT SURE WHAT I AM LOOKING AT WITH THE FRAME PICS LOOKS WRONG DO YOU HAVE A EMAIL I CAN SEND A COUPLE PHOTOS PLEASE HELP? OR ANYONE WITH FRAME EXPERIENCE...
You can use the short bed s10 but you’ll have to extend the frame. The best one to use without having to extend or shorten the frame is the single cab lwb s10
Austin Heft it actually doesn’t wheel hop with the shocks I have on it. But I’m in the process of putting thorbros 3 link on it and rewriting the engine harness putting everything under the dash
Is that what it is. Stupidity?? Why don’t you mind your own business no one asked for your input. I’m my own person and can do whatever the hell I want to my own vehicle. If it wasn’t for me this 1948 truck would still be sitting and rotting more. Thanks to people like me we bring them back life the way we want to….

werdCanada it’s the 4wd s10 rear end.
@@brautoworks9852 did you narrow the box at all?
Awesome build until the end when i saw the colorful headlights😔👍🇨🇦
Real nice truck and I like the rebel flag
Definitely worth every bit of it. I wouldn’t have done it any other way.
I have a 5 window truck too, I'm gonna swap my body on to a mid 90s 3/4 ton long bed OBS since the trucks have almost the exact same wheelbase
Excelente lataria,pátina maravilhosa. Show.👏
No to the paint and wheels. We have Enough unpainted trucks.Sorry good job in the building of the truck.
Nice truck good job👍🏻
Looks like something my half-wit son would do.
Very nice I'm so tired of these rich buying parts and bolting them on.
Nice job
All that thing needs is some 100 spoke 14's and whitewalls
FANTASTIC JOB!!

Did you shorten the s10 frame? The s10 extended cab is 122" wheelbase versus the AD's which were generally 116" wheelbase. Love the result, nice work.
Joe West yes I shortened the frame to 118”
And thanks.
Nice
Beautiful truck!!!! What rear end did you go with?
Am glad I found this video of your build, how are the port a wall’s holding up?

What radiator did you end up going with? I'm using the original 98 s10 radiator, and it is way too wide, making the hood not fit. And how did you wire up the headlights and tailights? Thanks!
I used a 4 row aluminum radiator from a 65 mustang. And I wired the headlights and taillights to the factory headlight switch for the truck.
I know this an old post but what kind are the wheels they look like transport wheels but they are 5 lug. thanks
What wheel and tire setup ..
What kind of headers are you using ?
You should use the proper Confederate flag, which was the last one they used officially. A plain white bed sheet will do
Is that starfox music in the background?
@Richard P Baker
Perfect build, just about to start mine. Do you mind me asking why type of air ride? And did you use 3/8 Lines?
I just uploaded a new video the other day I’m in the process of rebuilding the rear and using airlift 3p with 3/8 hard line
I'm setting a 1941 pick up on a s10 frame. Where did you get the headlights? They look awesome

Was the swap worth it?
What cab/running board mounting kit did you use?
There’s a guy that builds them. His Facebook page is coffee and customs he builds a very adjustable kit and a reasonable priced look them up
What headers are you using?
Nice truck what year s10
He used a 1996 Sonoma truck frame
How did you use the original steering wheel
South east Tn Digger Cut down the original column put a bearing in the bottom and adapted it to the s10 gear box
vortec 5.3?
will short bed s10 frame work
You can use the short bed s10 but you’ll have to extend the frame. The best one to use without having to extend or shorten the frame is the single cab lwb s10
@@brautoworks9852 ok thx whats the lwb?
Long wheel base single cab s10
what year of s10 did you use
I actually used a 96 Sonoma extended cab had to shorten the frame a little
Want to sell it?
