Nice to see this car again. I grew up watching Le Mans 24 Hours and the battle between Peugeot and Audi. Is it chassis #05? I guess someone refitted it's Le Mans 2008 livery back after it's US campaign in 2009.
I wonder also what are Emmanuel's impressions of the 908 after so many hours behind the wheel of the best petrol car, the Pescarolo 01?

A different experience for sure, visibility is very limited in the 908. It's fast but mostly silent so despite the huge amount of torque, the speed sensation is very limited, especially compared to the Pescarolo.

Only the 2011' 908 used the V8, the remaining ones (2007 - 2010) all used V12. And by the look of the paint job, i guess its the 2008 version. Let me know if I am wrong.

Well, it's a Diesel, so what do you expect? In terms of Diesel sound it's successor with the V8 sounded much better at least in person standing next to the track.

It sounds rough at low revs but it's quite silent afterward. Diesel engines were allowed under the regulations of the time and it created some very fast cars. The Peugeot 908 could lap Le Mans in less than 3mn 20s of which very few cars can pretend.

It’s not a sound everybody will like but I love it. It must be thrilling mashing though gears that fast plus those cars can reach 3gs+ in certain corners
