The music video at the end got reuploaded to my music channel:)

The blue puppet girl wanting to eat the guitar and her brother just treating it like normal makes me think this isn't the first time she's tried to eat inanimate objects, and that she needs a psychologist, not a song.
This is the kind of analysis I strive to one ay achieve on this channel. These are my favorite comments. We are the music makers. And we are the dreamers of the dreams.
Pica can be a sign of neglect :)
Yes!!!! Missed you so much, glad you're back. Hope you're doing well. This is hilarious!
@@stellaharris4826 same when i first saw this i was like this is actually weird and why is she trying to eat the guitar
@@danielprofetaAphex Twin reference?
I like how the first PSA shows that both men and women could be child predators, very progressive.
I am very aware that both men and women can be predators, and I'm a huge fan of progressive thought
Honestly that was well ahead of its time
EVERYONE knows that
@@Terratetradon I doubt that. If there are people who think there's no such thing as a racist black person, then there are people who think women can't be sexual predators.
@@jacobcox4565Bad reason, but you’re still right.
I love the we're not candy ad like genuinely it works so well. No threats, they just look slightly unsettling.
Exactly!!
Right!
It's a bop too
It makes me laugh so hard I don’t know why😂
It pops up every week in my recommended and I made a rule I have to watch it every time
I liked the joke of a child being in a burning house and doing stop, drop, and roll instead of just leaving the house. Or just doing stop, drop, and roll at the scene of any fire, despite not being on fire.
Thanks, I also enjoyed the mental image of burning children
@@danielprofeta HELP-
@@danielprofeta so much more relaxing when you know WHY they're screaming.
🎶don’t hide , go outside , get out the door and run … you gotta race to the neighbors place and call 9-1-1 ! be cool about fire safety🎶
part of my room caught on fire two weeks ago and my 7 year old brother was asleep in the neighboring room, we got him out and once we explained what was going on he straight up said "why didnt you tell me to stop drop and roll?!" very angrily, necause he thought we didnt want him to put out the fire 💀
“Stranger Danger” PSAs ALWAYS get on my nerves not because they’re trying to encourage being safe around strangers who’re being suspicious. It’s just that it unintentionally teaches kids the idea that they (in genera) can’t trust ANYONE, at least if they “take it super seriously” like they’re “supposed too”
Better safe than sorry I suppose
Yeah i don't trust anyone fully aside from my online friends and my sister
@@the_author_artist7815 Even then, when I met a British person online, my dad immediately told me that they were lying, and probably lived in Michigan and were 40.
I still have stranger danger anxiety in my 30s despite never experiencing anything shown in those PSA's.
Especially since most kidnappers know the victim in some way
I actually like the 'we're not candy' one. Sure, it's uncanny but it did a good job of spreading awareness without demonizing pills as a whole or blaming children for eating them. It's catchy and it does a good job conveying it's message and the lil blue skittles are cute
DIDNT YOU GET IT?! THE WHOLE THING WAS THAT THE SKITTLES WERE *NOT* CANDY!! /j
@@karameru_xd sounds like what candy would say
100% bars and 100% candy
@@karameru_xd yeah only candy would say they aren't candy.
Third one to say it, but I think the Skittles are trying to save themselves by pretending to not be candy. only one way to find out
crazy how two of my favorite youtubers that look like long distant cousins were both extras in hunger games
We were twins. He thought he absorbed me in the womb but I reincarnated elsewhere as a creature from hell.
@@danielprofeta 👍
And yes, my nieces and nephews had a code word to avoid stranger danger. Sad but true.
Such is the world we unfortunately live in
In the majority of cases, it's familiar people, such as family members or family friend either in the neighborhood or elsewhere, that would violate a child. It's rare for a stranger to do it, but it would be unrealistic to say that it doesn't happen.
my elementary school resource teacher had a codeword with her son or a special knock, my family had a silly password that wasn't used often, my dad probably doesn't even remember
@@lavendernightshade5631IF YOU REALLY ARE MY DAD WHATS THE CODE WORD!!???
Growing up I was shown a lot of PSAs as a kid, and they actually showed us the "don't put it in your mouth" song in elementary school. It resulted in several very disturbed children, and as a way of rebelion, a whole bunch of kids started shoving glue sticks in there mouth to "ward of the evil."
true story. Love your vids and can't wait to see more, thanks for the great content.
I ward off evil simply by existing. Evil is scared of me.
This reminded me of when Buster Brown (a child comic strip character who was always up to mischief) became a boy scout. He was told to be obliging to all adults, so he helped a burglar rob his house.
1980s-90s authority figures thought we were all Buster Brown. You know what? That's fair.
That reminds me a little of Amelia Bedelia
@@danielprofeta I freaking loved Amelia Bedelia as a kid. The first one I read in 3rd grade was where she threw dust all over someone's house.
@@danielprofeta god i fucking hate amelia bedelia
NEW VIDEO WOOO!
Sidenote, the vast majority of PSAs are terrifying by themselves, but sometimes, such as the ones described here, they are... very. extra. disturbing
They can also be hilarious to look back at, as seen here

I’m only 18 but I remember seeing that first psa in school when I was little!! (it was a catholic school and things were always at least 10 years behind technologically)
Damn, I hope you're doing okay my friend, stay safe and sane and don't talk to strangers who don't know about Richard helms
As an 18 year old i can safely say that i do not remember growing up in the 80s and 90s
But i do remember getting trauma from being made to watch scream when i was four by my mom 😊😊
I love scream, but when you were 4?? That's rough..
@@danielprofeta scream 2, to be precise, my mom wanted to watch it with her friend, but, oh no, my nan was at work and they couldn't leave the four year old alone,
So we all crammed into our dining room, around our grey box TV,
I distinctly remember giggling at some of the scenes, but other than that, it's mostly just fear
BUT, the bright side is, Scream is one of my all time favourite horror franchises, and I'm really into horror now, specifically how horror is made, the work that goes into movies and shows!
So, traumatizing, but that trauma opened a WORLD of movies and shows to me,
So I'm kinda thankful to it
Even if it might have aided my need for anxiety mess 😅😅😅😅
Dude, growing up before child safety caps were invented was wild. Also, you unlocked a core memory in me with those tidbits of fire safety PSAs. I watched those in kindergarten and now remember being viscerally afraid of house fires for months afterwards. Great video!
I used to be afraid of homes being on fire, then I watched Bo Burnham's inside and now I know exactly what to do in case of an emergency.
Gosh, I've been falling to this psa "rabbit hole" recently, thanks for making a video about this!
Also my favourite thing to do is milking the snakes, it's very fun
That joke was inspired by a mad libs game I played when I was like 12. Milking the snakes and fixing the still that's turning out water instead of moonshine.
@@danielprofeta Oh, interesting
@@DrpshpdCatShirt Snake milking is a thing. My cousin milks rattlesnake venom for a living.
@@princesspikachu3915 HUH!? It is, what huh??

apparently those freaky adult swim clippings shown before the show starts are to scare kids away from the show

That's amazing hahaha
while this was a very pleasant surprise to watch before i go to work early in the morning, i must say i had no idea Daniel WAS 19!!!! he could have fooled me into thinking he was well into his 20s like me *sigh* growing up sucks

I already think growing up sucks and I'm not even there yet. Please regale me with horror stories of all the grand times I have to look forward to:)
@@danielprofeta i dont know about you but my back and knee pain started when i was 19. then there is more work responsibility's and (for me) taking care of tiny humans adds age and work to do to life in general. i know ways of looking at life can change and happen at any time but the older i get the more i miss when i was 18 or 19. it was simpler for me and no where near as much stress or burdens. i guess thats why i love music so much. it helps me prosses difficulties and calm down at times. to be frank, thats why i love your acoustic, chill songs more . they are therapeutic for me especially recently. please do keep up with all you do, i can not get enough of your reactions to analog and so on!

@@danielprofeta I have scoliosis as well that started about the same age as yours did. As I got older, chronic pain set in. I always made sure to take care of myself, know my limitations and get medical help sooner rather than later. Pain medication extremely sparingly. I am much older now and I'm better because I got care and took it seriously. This is my story and not necessarily your destiny. I'll probably be uploading it to Spotify soon
@@danielprofeta YO SO EXCITED 🎉 can't wait!
At my old school that I was at for elementary, they actually showed us that first PSA. Can’t remember what grade I was in, but it was a really strange experience to have us all holed up in the auditorium watching that. Sometimes it pops back into my head. It was really surreal to see it again, LAWL
That's so strange lol
my god i feel like such a decrepit old man learning that you're 19 and already have this dope youtube channel and a music thing going 😂 i mean that in a good way though! you're a really talented dude and you always make fantastic content
the PSA with the singing pills is almost too cute to take seriously for me haha. like, look at those little guys! the way they all huddle up together at the end! they are absolutely precious
Yeah the singing pills are adorable
Dude! You really topped yourself with this one. Great subject matter, impossible to not make funny even if you didn't have anything to add, but you had some amazing soundbites in response. THEN at the end you had that brilliant song? Dude, this was the best, and you've made a lot of great content before this. Keep being you.
I appreciate it my friend, thank you!! See you in the next one:)
Love your channel, I always look forwards to another video!! Hope you're proud of yourself, your channel is amazing
Oh yeah I'm proud of this video lol:)
Epic
I once saw a video of some kid channel that went out by putting up a timer and saying they need x amount of money and then started executing all the show characters on their channel and then saying thanks for nothing when the timer ran out
That's. Interesting....
This has nothing to do with anything I just thought it was hilarious
That line "what if the thing in your mouth... Is the person you love" was so powerful that I gave the screen a nod of approval with an expression that almost completely mirrored Daniel's nod and facial expression in sync with him.
I am known for powerful one liners.
As a man who grew up with the "don't put it in your mouth" PSA I'm so glad to see a new generation being traumatized by Canadian PSAs
A whole new group of people will be destroyed psychologically.
I was expecting this video the be creepy
Not you stopping every couple of seconds to mock the PSA! 🤣
the PSA that still freaks me out is a Canadian one where a chef is talking about how great her life is going, but she's carrying a pot of hot oil, and then she slips on a spill on the ground someone else didn't clean up and burns like half her arm and face. It's really effective and still gets me to this day, yet i cant get myself watch it again.
Oof, that's terrifying
that “we’re not candy” commercial is IMPORTANT TO MY FAMILY. my mom randomly sings the song we all know the lyrics bc we all think it’s adorable
I wish I would have seen the blue puppets years ago before I saw a bottle of "Sesame Street Bubble Gum scented Bubble Bath" and thought "wow if it smells this great just like the gum..I can only imagine what it tastes like!"
I had similar problems as a kid, too many things looked or smelled like food
Some of these remind me of a old movie series called The Adventures of Timothy Tooth
Timothy Tooth... Now that is a name I haven't heard in a long time. A long time.
@@danielprofeta Ikr? For so long I thought it was this fever dream on par with my sleep paralysis demon. Then I found the theme on CZcams and my mind was blown. Then I see this and it just keeps rounding back to that weird uncanny part of my childhood.
"We're not candy' is actually quiet catchy and good too
I agree, very nice and good. Now let's see Paul Allen's card.
Ok but the song at the end fucking SLAPS
Heheheh, thank you
Does anyone remember a show/psa type thing with a bat and a rabbit who had a clubhouse type thing, and were creepy puppet characters like in the video? In the one I remember it was about electrical safety and the bat ended up getting electrocuted by playing with an electical outlet.
Any ideas on what this could be? I vividly remember it from my (early 2000s) childhood and have been searching for like 10 years haha
I'm not sure...
And in 1 day you've gained nearly 5 thousands more subs
This is an exaggeration, but I did gain nearly 1300 in one day, which is a personal record. Thank you guys!!

Don't relapse plz
Psa videos are crazy some Tramazied me
Prepare to get traumatized again
I remember seeing that "Don't put it in your mouth." playing a lot when I was a kid. I sometimes think and sing it in my head from time to time. I specifically remember the one time my brothers friend saw this and laughed hysterically as if it had a sexual innuendo about it.
It kinda does have that innuendo to it, that's what makes it weird to me
The most honest 19 year old on CZcams.
At least according to this one video I found by happenstance.
I don't know how many of these I'd really consider "the most disturbing", but it was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed the original song at the end. And as a fun fact, that PSA with the pills was actually created and puppeteered by Jim Henson.
That's so cool, I didn't know that about Henson. I should cover the Wilkin's coffee videos
As an old, I've got some context for the "stranger codeword" thing - there were also loads of PSAs telling parents and children to decide on a secret word for this exact situation. It was just kind of a thing at the time. But also as much as the secret word thing isn't that big of a stretch, and it's not unheard of for creeps to scare children by claiming their parents are hurt, it's also unlikely that your family would send someone you've never seen before to bring you to the hospital.
Thank you for your time as I over-explain something clearly said as a joke.
Woke up to this - don't think I'll get back to sleep after this....
Sorry about that hahaha
0:55 “do you remember growing up as a kid in the 80’s and 90’s? me neither! i’m 19!” caught me so off guard LMAO anyway it’s nice (and kinda crazy) to see a youtuber so close to my age wow

One of the scariest PSA's I've ever watched was at school. We had a special presentation, so we went to this weird ass stair room.
