As a recommendation, if you run suppressor in charisma when ricochet happens, it will further decrease damage to you.

Okay, this looks really impressive! I've been running unyielding secret service as a bloodied build for so long that I've kind of gotten bored with it, and I die more often than I'd like. This has me motivated to try solar armor now and switch to a full health build! Nice video.

Such a cool build, very close to my full health guy. I do always run teams but also colas so intread of lone wanderer i just have the cola/booze combo,and keep nuka grape and dark on the quick wheel. My only character that could always tank TYM before the debuff. An OE Solar armor set is totally worth the grind IMO, maybe the most worthwhile grind because the bonus is so unique

Any increase to your stats helps. So +1 from your armor to agility helps.

Awesome video! I've been working on an UY Thorn set for nearly a week and I only have one arm left to get. In hindsight, UY Thorn don't pair as well as OE Solar. I already have a full UY SS set but not all pcs are 3*.

This build is amazing an relaxed to play. The only issue for me on it is carry weight capacity… constantly overweighted ☹️

You could also use the perk in luck that automatically repairs some of your armour max it out you shouldn’t have to worry about your armour breaking
Normally I shoot back so it's not much of an issue.
I like this build a lot but if you are running a vampires weapon you could just use thorn armor instead. OE thorn plus ricochet and a vamp weapon will give you plenty of tankiness but will also damage the enemies hitting you much more than ricochet alone. On top of hack and slash legendary perk card being able to proc thorn armor bleed effect too. Melee OE thorn armor with a vamps weapon is a MONSTER of a tank build that still has huge damage output through carnivore buffs.
I have an OE solar set for my full health bow hunter. Its totally worth the grind. I dont even run a vamp weapon, usually AA or instigating, immortal either way. I have 2 pieces with AP, 1 cryo, 1 poison and 1 fire. But FYI, the old turrets would take me down in about 5 seconds.
I assumed as much about the turrets. I wish I finished my set sooner.
This is insane damage mitigation. It's better than any power armour tank build ive seen in action.
Ive got one coming thats gonna be sick as hell but I’m in the same situation he was where I have to get the power armour I need. I have close to what I want, and I’m seeing less than 1 damage from westeck at bloody HP, 95% damage reduction in OE and 99% in Assassins,Zeolots and troubleshooters. With max healing +born survivor Suppresors and ricochet it’s his performance but at lower HP and seeing much lower damage
Im running a heavy PA/sneak build, when I hop out I have unyielding armour and can swap adrenaline for the sneak perks and see crazy high base dmg. His build would be perfect if I wanted to do a full heavy autistim setup instead of bloody hp then I’d see ridiculous survivability but sacrificing high dps
broski i’m level 1800 and never knew it was regular armour 😂we all thought it was power armour i’m bouta use my 4500 bullion, never heard of you but this was pretty interesting to watch i hope great success comes to you man !

So question. How vital is the overeater perks to the build?? Could you get away with running like say ap regen and rely on on dodgy? Or is it integral to the point if you take it out it falls apart??

I don't actually know for sure. I didn't start using the set until I had all Overeater's. It will make some difference but with all the perks and the healing from the armor, you should still be quite tanky.
For a bit more tankiness maybe use silt bean purée, it’s a decent buff and fairly easy to farm/make.

..thank you for your excellent video, I really appreciate your channel. I have aquestion: I wasnt really aware yet, that just having a vampire weapon passively with you (selected but not using) a somewhat vampire effect occures, like a slow healing but less than the active vampire effect when shooting. Can you explain whats happening and is this an intended effect by Bethesda?
It works that way when you have the Ricochet perk equipped. When it triggers, the enemy's shot reflects back at them and has the effect of whatever weapon you have equipped. Ricochet + Vampire's = occasional healing.

I can see few cases on which this build would be king but my only question would be...what about weight/damage?. considering the time/effort invested not to mention materials to get the right legendary effects....I'm not sure this is something I would do. Still I think it's impressive, I can respect the effort put into this.
My damage is fine. Weight isn't an issue since I only carry two guns.

I'll be honest, I didn't know company tea was impacted by herbivore. I always just saw the 20% and thought that was just what it did always.
With Strange In Numbers, it goes up to 25.
i have carnivore and strange in numbers. its 25% too

Now imagine this in a strangler power armor with nerd rage and Emergency Protocols... You just stay stand and the enemies dies
I noticed that on Solar Armor that the HP regen is for you AND your teammates. Does that mean you have to be on a team for it to function?
Nope. You always get the healing. If you are on a team and they are close, they get it too. It also stacks. So, if you are on a team with other people wearing Solar and you are close to each other. The healing is multiplied.

Whats your damage output like? This build seems super fun but i dont wanna burn through insane amounts of ammo
against most trash that should never be an issue anyway.
My damage is fine. Contextual ammo keeps my supply steady and I never have to craft.
Ammo just isn't an issue in this game anymore lmao. So long as you have damage perks for your weapon type, adrenaline, bloody mess, or tenderizer, you'll be fine.

If you were holding the new pistol no ammo during that the enemy's would kill them self lol.
I wanted the vampire's+ricochet effect.
how would it fair with Heavy weapons? with my Overeaters Hellcat I never die unless it's like poison or something but even then, its super rare and I don't need to run with vampires. and only ballistic damage, damages me. with Electric Absorption energy damage is nothing and feed's my core.
With heavy guns, I'd stick with power armor. It's a better combination.
Try slotting in Kinetic Dynamo on your hellcat torso and get funky duds. With OE hellcat, kinetic dynamo, and Holy Fire, you’ll be able to solo eviction notice.
This would be fun if it don’t take so long to grind

I haven't had a chance to really find out. I've only done one with it and there so many people that everything insta-died.
I have a similar build but I use secret service. Usually I do fine. You’re not going to be able to face tank like you can in Power Armor, but you’ll survive. What Rads and Ghoulish pretty much counter the rad spike, and as long as you’re not standing in one spot, the super mutants aren’t a problem.
Sounds like you struggled to put together an overeater's set. Not a bad build.
It was the 2nd star combo that added to the grind. If all I cared about was the 1st star, it would have been much quicker.

I know poison resist does. Harder to tell with fire.
I am testing this build, using a vamp with Ricochet, company tea etc... but my health isn't regenning nearly as fast. What am I missing?

Idk why but it make me feel like It could be a simple exploit in a game like Skyrim
So... I've actually been trying to get a complete overeater's set like you have in this video, and I'm starting to lose faith that it's even possible. I have crafted about 100 solar armor pieces now, and I have had multiple assassin's, bolstering, chameleon, life saving, auto stim, cloaking, hunter's, troubleshooter's, unyielding, vanguard's, weightless... but not one single overeater's! I can see why this took you several months to grind. Is there a built-in lower chance of getting overeater's compared to other ones? I had assumed there is an equal chance for any first star legendary effect to drop, but statistically it just hasn't worked out for me. I'm sure it's just random and I've had bad luck, but it has felt like there is less than a one percent chance to get it.
Update: Edited to add that I have now crafted around 150 solar armor pieces, and still not one of them has been overeater's. And I'm out of vault steel again...
Updated again: I ended up getting 5 overeater's pieces! Took a lot of patience and materials, but the grind is over at last. I'm excited to try it out next. I have no idea how many pieces of armor I ended up crafting. Probably between 500 to 1000.
I'm having the same issue as well but managed to get One piece and only One piece 😢
@@foobers9203 Congrats on your one piece! That actually gives me hope that this is possible. I've been crafting 5-10 pieces of solar armor every day, and have probably spent several thousand scrip on vault steel by now, but still haven't gotten a single overeater's piece. Maybe one day my luck will turn around and I'll get five in a row, haha.
@@foobers9203 I did it! Finally got my first piece of overeater's solar armor tonight. I have no idea how many thousands of scrip it has taken. I was not sure I'd ever get one, but now I can confirm it is possible! Now to get 4 more pieces...
I swear they broke the rng, I have 3 pieces now but I crafted 60+ right arms and not one piece , shouldn't be this insane to craft! I've decided I'm done until new season starts because I'm about to record and screen shot the crap rng for all to see what a joke system bug thesda has!@@grimmy02
@@foobers9203Update: Finally got my last piece! Been grinding pretty steadily for it, though. Lots of vault steel, and actually, what I kept running out of recently was plastic. (Ballistic fiber, too, but that's easier to find at robot vendors.) Miraculously, got my last overeater's piece when I only had enough plastic for one more attempt tonight, haha.

How is he vampire effect come in with vampire weapons equipped?
Ricochet perk.
When you are using vampire weapons with ricochet, the bullets that "ricochet off of you" (in other words, when the perk procs) count as if the ENEMY is firing the bullet, not you. So, it triggers the vampire effect regardless of if you pull the trigger or not.
I plsyed encrypted and the robots 1 hitted me with full health. Why?
I'm super late but what about regenerating?
That effect only works outside of combat.
Where do you get mods for this armor
It uses scout mods that you get from MODUS in the Whitespring bunker.

Where do you get company tea?
There is a company tea generator on the scoreboard at rank 25. It's a camp item under resources. It generates 1 every 10 minutes and holds up to 5.
@@wiggle_plays cool! So if I'm going to get a vampires gun, can it be the enclave plasma? Or does it need to be a special one? Right now I have the enclave flamer plasma. Best weapon I've ever had.
Any vampire's weapon will work.

Yes. Probably too much of a grind for most.
Easier to build a OE set of Scout armor, and use Sweet Tato Stew and Sunkissed perl, not nearly as good but a fair approximation.
The rng is Broke! Period, been crafting two months now, 70+ right arms ='s everything but overeateds! Turning into a joke at this point!
I agree it's crazy. At first my experience was the same way. Probably crafted around 200 pieces before I got my first overeater's (while getting plenty of everything else along the way). Honestly wondered if overeater's was removed from the drop pool for some reason. But I just completed my overeater's set tonight! Good luck with your grind. Keep at it, you'll get there eventually!

Solar armor only works against trash enemies. It is of no use during special operations or other public events. Unfortunately, this is a pointless waste of resources and time until it starts healing NPCs at events.
Not true at all. I have a mixed set of Solar that I use for my bowhunter build and I do just fine at all events and daily ops. It all comes down to your build and play style.
@@CircleofNerdsYou can handle a bow in stealth mode in absolutely any armor, and even better - with a Unyielding :)
@@morsadis very true. I’ve got a full Uny bloody build for stealth. But the OE armor comes out when I’m running a full health explosive bow hunter. Kinda hard to be stealthy when you’re blowing everything up. Even without PA and basically running and gunning I do not die. It’s glorious. I crit every 2 shots with a AA50crit25ap bow and everything just kind of melts in 1-2 headshots. Bosses and 3stars take a bit more of course. Daily Ops can sometimes be sketchy. But a full set of OE Solar would definitely help with that. While this armor isn’t for everyone it’s definitely worth the grind if you use it.
