To be honest in my personal opinion its not. I'm not justifying cheating as its a really nasty thing to do to someone but on the other hand their is always reasons for actions. If you cheat for no reason your an asshole but on the other hand sometimes people cheat because they arnt happy and they are too scared to talk to their partner so instead they build up anger and then begin drinking and then people do silly things because they are drunk. Its sometimes better to move on under good terms rather then live hating someone.
If I was in a relationship and I got cheated on I would split up with them but I would stay friends with them because the reason I got into a relationship with them was because they would have made me happy so there must be something good in them to be with them in the first place. Just because they cheated on you doesn't mean they hate you so is it worth throwing X amount of years away just because they made a mistake? The answer to that question is down to you as person.
Edit: After watching the video I wanted to add something. If you have an ongoing second relationship or friends with benefits over an ongoing period I cant say I would stay friends with them then as it was an ongoing thing and that is just plain wrong. But if it was something just happened and my partner was honest to me and said look I f*cked up and I am really sorry then I would forgive them, leave them and hope to stay on good terms.
