    yeah, dont use Black Beauty, it breaks down extremely fast and it's not cheap. I've been using garnet. it cuts extremely well, it's much cheaper, and it doesn't break down as fast. i can get 80-90lbs for about $30

    I don't use the dust collector they use. I use a dust deputy. More effective

    Guys I have a lot of constructive criticism for you even after only one day of use. The instructions are unclear about bolt types and contradict themselves sometimes. For example you had the lower leg supports only to have to undo the front supports again to screw in the foot stand. My foot stand had improperly drilled holes at that. I could not attach the supports. The included bolts are all below a grade 5 and frankly terrible. I broke three of them, and had to buy replacements. The screw hose collectors are awful. They leak all over causing massive performance losses, and the fact that there are three was causing serious pressure loss at the tip. The hose barbs with a clamp and my harbor freight pot nozzle performed better than the stock setup of a $3,500 soon to be $4,000 cabinet. C’mon now bruh. All of those need to be replaced with carbon steel barbs preferably with bolt down collars stat. The dust collector while performing well makes a horrid high pitch screaming. It’s not just a vacuum under load type sound. It’s a deafening screech and seems to have something to do either with flow restrictions or a bad seal somewhere in the plumbing from the cyclone to the HEPA filter. Open the door to the HEPA and it goes away. Just sounds like a proper vacuum again which isn’t annoying at all. I’m going to try to figure it out and report further but I cannot tolerate it even with ear pro or noise canceling buds or cans. My pressure pot had the access bolts loose and it was not only performing poorly because of it but blowing media out slowly but surely. Again I broke one of those trying to tighten them. I don’t understand taking a chance on a pressurized vessel of all things with less than grade 5 bolts?! Oh and don’t even get me started on how you used a gate valve instead of a ball valve for the media adjustment, just why, why, why?! Those might as well be grade 8 just for good measure. I’ll be replacing every single one of those on mine just because. The pressure relief/eduction hose that feeds back into the bottom of the cabinet always blasts itself out of its little cover/container every time I let off of the pedal. That part is pointless without something to actually grab and hold down the hose. The cabinet itself and the lighting is decent, the finish wears rather easily though. I also ordered the air blowoff gun. No instructions about where to connect it were provided and I see no where to actually plumb it into the cabinet without drilling a hole (which I really don’t want to do and shouldn’t have to on a product of this price!) and then buying and installing a grommet. I wanted to use it for blowing off the part and the media laying around back down into the funnel with the door closed,
    And is precisely what I thought it was for. But I could have made that whole thing myself for less than $60, especially considering it does seem to be immediately useable! What’s up with that?! I think you could have a really great product here, but there’s some serious shortcomings that are painfully obvious on even just the first day to anyone who is remotely mechanical, or has even just a little blasting experience. I’ve also be reaching out via email or phone call about some of these concerns. Thank you.

      Could you please email admin@redlinestands.com with some photos and maybe video? I'd like to have something to share with our manufacturer overseas to see if we can't improve the product. With your help, I'd like to see about discovering any issues and addressing them. My apologies. This is all quite surprising to me. I've had one at home since 2017 with none of these issues.

      @@RedlineStands thank you for your reply! I will do so with photos and video of the problem areas with some commentary. I’m a reviewer, now not generally for tools of course but I’ve got a knack for finding issues and detailing them. I’ll be in touch.

      @@tqj8ht049 Yes, we had the factory send us replacement hoses that fit our hose ends much better and do not allow media to escape. I'm really not sure what to say about this customer's loud vacuum. I have this same vacuum at home and there's no screaming sound from it at all. What one man says is loud, another may describe differently. It's really difficult to know if this customer's vacuum actually has an issue or not, or if his expectations of sound level from a SBC vacuum are reasonable or not. Given we are not experiencing any other customers reporting this, I'm left to wonder. We did go ahead and write some instructions for the blow gun, which are now located at www.redlinestands.com/manuals/Blow_Gun_Kit_Instructions.pdf I'm really not sure why this customer says he'll be replacing his gate valve "just because." We have those replacement gate valves on our website, part number REPP70-MFV, and no one ever buys them. I assume no one ever buys them because they work and don't need replacing? With all of this said, the REPP70 is a great hobbyist cabinet. Anyone who needs one to run all day every day really should spend the money on an industrial-grade cabinet. I'm going to link two of them below. Get read for a price shock. Those are expensive, really expensive. $12k and $13k. The REPP70 is about 25% of the price. I agree with this customer above. The cabinet is not perfect, but we're doing our best to make it better and better every day. With that said, if perfect is what the buyer must have, then I really must show them the cabinets below. You won't be disappointed in any way possible with the cabinets I have linked below.

      @@tqj8ht049 I did. Replacement hoses, and a new vacuum motor which turned out to be defective. The only thing left unresolved was that I had to drill the proper holes for the footstand, but so be it, I’m not too bothered by that. If you order one I’d just recommend replacing the bolts on the pot with something stronger, just don’t be like me and over tighten the other bolts. The gate valve works fine, it’s not like it’s particularly bad. I just don’t prefer gate valves personally. I like how easy it is to repeat the same setting with a ball valve, so I made that modification.

    Wonder if there is a conversion kit for a siphon cabinet.

    • @RedlineStands
      @RedlineStands  Před 3 lety +1

      No sir. Turns out the entire cabinet is far more different than you might expect. Converting one is more expensive than buying a new cabinet. Sorry.

    How do you fill the pressure pot?

    • @edgarasvas
      @edgarasvas Před 6 lety +1

      I think its fills automatic when machine stops to blast, all pressure comes out and opens the valve on the top of the pot. And the media drips in the pot. When machine starts, valve closes, pressure rises and sandblasting starts.

    How easy is it to change out media?

    • @RedlineStands
      @RedlineStands  Před 2 lety +1

      When I'm ready to throw away the media in use, I tend to get myself a long piece of pvc and run it from my yard to the blaster. I insert the gun into the pvc, and blow the old media into my grass. Naturally, the media disappears into the grass and then I refill it with new media. By far the easiest way to do it, otherwise you're using the access door at the bottom of the pot and digging it out by hand, which is a pain.

      @@RedlineStands ha, that’s a really good idea. However it’s safe to say this style of cabinet is not designed with media changes in mind. I have a smaller cabinet that I’ll change between glass and aluminum depending on the finish needed. I just got this cabinet built and have an electrician wiring in new 30cfm compressor today. I’m excited to see how this works out.

      @@RedlineStands hello it’s me again, I ended up landing on steel grit #60, (25lbs) I bought a 30cfm 10hp compressor and plumbed it to the cabinet with 1/2in line. I set the regulator to 60psi at first and I’m not getting any media to come out. Then up’d psi to 90.. still no luck. I did notice when I pressure pedal that 100lbs drops to 60lbs.. other information, the whole the compressor and cabinet stand directly next to each other, I am using a 1/2in (50ft) air line between the two. I’ve also played with the siphon valve (open/close). I know I’m doing/not doing something but can’t figure it out.
