Lmao yeah even the rewritten one where it changed the bleach to them screwin around with a flare gun isn't much better

We have already found the origins of images such as The Rake, Smile dog and Ahenobarbus henocied, But for some reason Jeff the killer has been the hardest one since its so old. Some people has claimed to have made the image, but its show to be older than the people have been making it claming it to be. The original post was by a girl on 4chan, who was asking for tips on her makeup, and said make me pretty or something I can’t remember, as well as telling the thread how she felt like she needed something else to look good, the entire thread clowned on her by editing her pics to these images, such as jeff the killer

The fact that no one (at the moment) knows exactly where this image first popped up is crazy to me
When you think about how the internet actually works with a bunch of server towers holding info and how many independent websites and forums poped up in the 90s and 00s it begins to make more and more sense how we've probably lost like 80-90% of everything ever posted to the internet. Same thing probably goes for television and movies around the world throughout the years.

What's interesting is that this image became popular around the early 2000s soon after a popular culinary researcher in Japan, Sonoko Suzuki, passed away in December 2000. She was famous at the time for her super white face and bright red lips.
I'm not saying that she's the source of the image, but I wouldn't be surprised if she had some influence in the way the image was edited. I found a random Japanese reddit comment that stated that they remember seeing a 2ch thread long time ago that apparently was all about editing random images to resemble Sonoko Suzuki.

I saw a video on the origin of that face years ago. Apparently it was some kind of Online Forum in Japan or korea, where someone took a picture of their friend pulling a stupid face, someone else said they looked weird and edited it to make it look more disturbing, it then became a kind of meme here users of the forum would one up eachother to make the face look as terrifying as possible until the final result we have here.
Is the site called Tieba?

Photoshop was absolutely available in the late 90's/early 2000's through p2p. You could also find sites with it broken into like 1000 parts to download and then merge back together. But most people (like myself) just bought bootleg versions for $10 from ebay. And most computers could run it. Not entire relevant to the conversation; but you were questioning these things in the video.
Mutahar... going back to his creepypasta roots?!
*IT'S A MIRACLE!*
Thats actually a good point. These supposed "contests" and we havent found any other variations or participants besides that ghoulish looking one. Theres only like 3 known versions of the image. When supposedly many were editing the image.
I’m convinced it’s not the contest. Look up harisenbon it’s a female comedy duo one girl her mouth looks almost exactly the same.. I’m pretty sure it’s connected to them.. japan is mean…n they made fun of this comedian alot
So glad you’ve done this. I love lost media preservation and this puts so much more attention onto this topic
I loved this video, took me a while to find interest but the farther the rabbit hole the more I loved it
Mutah, you should do a screamer video, like, going through a lot of the screamers you were talking about! It would be super nostalgic imo
It would be awesome if you went back to your roots in haunted gaming and creepy pastas when it's October.
Can’t believe this picture is as old as me. I remember being 10/11 in 2012 obsessed with creepypastas. I miss that era of the internet from the mid 2000’s - 2014 when it felt like a ghost would literally come out of the screen. Very 009 dreamscape era youtube. I hope one day we find the origin of the image but I fear that it’s last in time like binary code in the rain.
The internet in 2001-2006 is unmatched.
009 DREAMSCAPE 😮😮😮😂😂
Yeah I miss it.
I watched your creepy pasta videos all the time man, you made my childhood
I first found your channel when you made that jeff the killer video! I would look up videos on jeff the killer, slenderman, haunted by disney all the time back then.
I'm better than SomeOrdinaryGamers, my content is better
This was a great vid Muta! I’d love to see more like it. The videos where you have such a passion for like this are always amazing and so well done.
