- No Cap v OLLO was definitely one of the best matches of the tournament. There were so many incredibly close chases, with 7 tags happening after 15 seconds. The average chase time for this match was 15.4 seconds which is significantly above the tournament average of 13 seconds (there's only one other match with a longer average chase time but it hasn’t been released yet!).

As someone that was there to see this live, this match was unbelievable. By match 11, I was sad that one of these two teams wouldn't move forward because they were both playing so well.

If I'm not mistaken, this match has provided the latest tag of this competition with only .2 seconds left on the clock and one of the previous playoff matches had a tag at 2.7 seconds so that is the fastest one so far I believe. Oh this year is going to be GOOOOOOOD!

Adrian coming through for No Cap with the precision foot placement on those strides up high. That first tag was insane!! What a good match up.
I think what makes this sport so enjoyable is just how much fun everyone seems to be having/how good of sports everyone is whether they win or lose. Almost every round has the pair helping each other back up or going for a handshake and/or hug. Everyone lets our their inner-kid in a game like this and its always fun to see

Joey Adrian is very incredible. I think if he was not in No Cap team, there will be sudden death. And again, how the hell this video is longer then last one, but there is no sudden death?! ( Although, it was very close).
Joey Adrian is underrated as hell. He moves like Davis Vasconcellos but with Seth Rujis speed.

Dang, that was a HAWT match from beginning to end! I was trying to eat lunch while watching and I could hardly look away to get at my food! XD such smooth movement by both teams, and it seemed like they never stopped for anything! I only regret this match means one of the teams ends the tournament here :(

I'm still amazed that a fun game we play as kids is now a legitimate sport with world class athletes! Just getting into WCT, anybody have a general overview? Who are the beast teams (Is APEX still playing), who are the underdogs? Storylines etc.?
APEX are the defending champions in this tournaments
Due to the pandemic, the 2020 American tournament was a one-off, which didn't feed into anything else. However, this 2021 tournament is part of a broader structure. The top four teams will be in London this summer, to meet up with the best in the world. United, a French/Swiss team, will be defending their title.
There were very few American teams before 2020, so most of the Americans have no experience with the European teams. Watching them meet should be interesting. There are some new teams in Europe since the last championship too, and some of them look strong.
What an excellent conclusion to a rematch story of these two teams. Joey Adrian is just superb 😩🔥

Very close!! There were so many late tags it could have have been anyone's match!!!
Is each team free to decide who will be the chaser for the run or there is some rule about that (like : a player can only be a chaser once in 3 straight runs) ?
Fairly certain the team decides who to send send and when since there was a situation where a member didn’t go on at all for almost every match so the other members had to go more.
They can choose who they want. Its a very important part of the tactics! Who do you put up against who based on their styles on the quad. You could get tagged out and then go straight back in if you really wanted too
They are free to choose who to use as a chaser in any given chase. You can watch the semis match from WCT USA between GNF and Hollywood Freerunners where GNF used a much smaller lineup because of matchup problems.
I just had a look at the rules. They’re extremely simple and don’t mention anything about consecutive turns, though they’ll inevitably have to add more rules in the future as the sport becomes more popular. Every major sport is always adding rules for players that find ways to take advantage of vague rules or unwritten rules
Yes, just to confirm what a lot of comments have already said, teams can send out whoever they want as the next chaser.

I'm sorry but this needs to be said: stephen mccarty is to good for ollo. He needs some help. He is undoubtebly one of the top 10 athletes in the competition, msybe even top 5 and it's sad seeing him leave this early
No need to feel bad, yes I may be the best performing player in your opinion but I love my team we all have our strengths and weaknesses in order for us to be the best it’s important that we stay consistent with the team and our training as well it’s only up from here for team ollo.
also I don’t only play to win which it would be nice to win and all but I just want to go out have a great time see my friends, fellow Athletes and hopefully pick up some sponsorships from this opportunity .
