To be fair, I always thought of the Scion TC as a newer version of the celica. 2 door, front wheel drive, manual trans, lift back coupe. That's what the celica was (or at least was in its last few generations).

Hey I know that you've worked a lot on 2zz engines so I wanted to ask about mine. It's current problem is that the spark plugs aren't sparking. The coils has everything so the ecm is not letting it spark. It did earlier but now it won't for some reason. There also seems to be a problem with the a/f ratio as when it was running it was rich and not wanting to go above 3-4k rpm. Any ideas?
From the original 5sfe to the 1mz is a huge difference. This was my first time driving it with the exhaust so I really didn’t have anything to reference back to other than the stock 5sfe
@@2zzlow if only they weren't so expensive tho. That's how much my ES300 is worth and it's the dual throttle body anyway so the supercharger wouldn't work with it
@@2zzlow why you go for the mz's and no the 2gr's? I own an st185 I think in the middle future swap it for a V6 and let it 4x4, them make it turbo. I'm trying to find some one who has done it before.
@@2zzlow Good luck. From what I see it should pass visual at least, but they're always looking for a reason not to pass. I'm stuck with a 5S in my Celica for now but it's a convertible model with no soft top (or a lot of other things) so I'm enjoying it. If you're ever in SD and see a red sixth gen convertible with a roll bar, feel free to wave.
@@2zzlow my Camry is sadly automatic & idk if I can get the TRD supercharger & have it set on 4psi & still drive fine and idk if I need to do any fuel mods if I ever decide to supercharge it (and if I need a tune)

Also you're a guy that rides around with his brights on... not too cool bro Do the world a favor and lose the brights and learn to use a turn signal.. idk people's logic on blinding on coming traffic but shifting lanes on a whim with zero signal.... Also fwd car with a stupid rear spoiler does nothing for this build... get a tac and proper guages, learn to drive before you kill someone and put a proper suspension on that car..
The tachometer is working now, I had to modify the cluster. Sti and Evo are awd so didn’t know I was trying to compare it to one of them but thanks? My brights were on because I didn’t have the low beams wired up, now they are so I guess I’m not that guy anymore... I already lost the brights and installed my low beams and at the time the turn signals weren’t wired up aswell. These are back roads and took 5 miles to get the car back home so relax my guy. The spoiler is staying because I’m not letting some random guy on the internet tell me what to do. Car is on brand new suspension and lowering springs. Your comment is also irrelevant because all the gauges and tachometer works on the car now.

I would check the ground that are attached to the engine block to see if they aren't corroded.

You can maybe use a single throttle body and stand alone ecu. I’m going to be using a es330 engine in my 6th gen soon
