again - Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood OP1 [Piano]

The first part of my 6-video-special series has finally been uploaded! And I'll start with a piano cover of the first opening of Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood: "Again" by YUI!
This is one of my favorite opening songs of FMA Brotherhood, next to "Period" by Chemistry and I think I have never skipped the OP animation even once, when I was watching FMA Brotherhood back then - because it was just so good.
A few words about the sheet: This arrangement follows very closely to the original song by YUI, and I only added minimal amount of original material in the sheet. The beginning of the piece is actually inspired by the TV-size version of the OP song - it starts with a "soft" version of the chorus instead of the guitar riffs like the full song version.
I paid a lot of attention to the rhythm this time. The left hand's accentuation is almost 90% the same as the drumbeats in the original song. The biggest technical difficulty for this sheet are the fast left hand "repetition notes" 0:58 and the fast right hand jumping 2:09. It took me a while until I could play this properly.
Last but not least, I included a lyrical jazz solo for the final chorus 3:38, before the rest of the instruments finally kicks in, and carries the piece until the end.

You're not even seeing the real speed. He uploaded this in 24/30FPS. This means that if he uploaded this in 60, it'd look even faster. Although the truth is, his hands are so fast, unintentional motion blur occurs, because there's not enough frames being written, so each frame has a slight blur.

One year and one month ago approximately I was casually wandering around on CZcams, watching some videos and stuff when it recommended me this video so I clicked on it. I got completely amazed by this masterpiece and I wondered, if there are music sheets on the description I'm sure it is paid. For my surprise, I guess I've never been so happy to be wrong. I've played the mandolin (a traditional instrument here in my country) for around 7 years and whenever I'd look for music sheets either they didn't exist, or they were simplified versions of the one presented or even they were paid ones. Then whenever I encountered this kind of situation I got so disappointed because deeply I wanted to play the songs in those professional versions but I couldn't afford them and my personal arrangements of those songs weren't as good. I downloaded the music sheets, played the video again and followed it note by note. For my great surprise again, it was exactly the same version of the one played on the video, written down there, every single note. When I finished my reading of the sheets a movie passed in my mind, all those 7 years and I've never found something like this, so accessible and with such a high quality. I stopped for a moment so I thought, there is an old piano here but no one plays it anymore (my grandma used to play it but she stopped doing that long ago), I want to be able to play this, I have the piano and the sheets, all I need now is time and effort. I also had the discipline thanks to my mandolin practice then I simply started doing it. Of course I knew I'd not start from this song, other simpler songs could help me to learn the basics and to get used to the piano dynamics (my whole musical life I've been playing only string instruments), so I started doing some research and I discovered the universe of anime on piano and also videogame on piano. I wondered what I've been doing my entire life? This thing is amazing! People sharing such nice arrangements and most of them available for free. Thanks to this song, on that random day casually watching videos on CZcams, this recommendation, the music sheets and a crazy idea in my mind "I can do it", ever since that day I've been practicing the piano for 2 to 4 hours everyday, I've not missed one day, filled with determination. I'm 25 years old by the way. I know that most people start at an young age but I really don't care about it, I'm gonna be able to master these songs (the hardest ones) someday, I just need to keepgoing. I'm still not able to play Again, as a matter of fact, I've not even started studying this piece, but I'm already able to play some decent stuff like Howl's moving castle main theme, Yuri on Ice and Dimension Breach (Chrono Cross, Zohar's arrangement) and I couldn't be prouder of my achievements so far :D. Of course I don't play them perfectly yet, I'm able to go to the end but sometimes I make some small mistakes on the tricky parts. I'm still in the process of cleaning them but as soon as they get ready to go I intend to start releasing my own covers here. I don't wanna get famous or anything, I'd be satisfied enough just for being able to play them and having this registered in video would be like a medal to me. Sorry for this long message, by the way, from that day on I read all of your video descriptions. It is so nice to see all the thoughts and feelings you put on the process of creating your arrangements. Thank you for sharing that and more than that, thank you for changing my life for better, none of that would have been possible if you weren't here.

I dont mean to flatter you but I love your music and the way you play and translate soundtrack pieces with a classical touch. I Love Classical Music and Anime/Jpop Music, you bring out the best in both of them without sounding too artsy and dramatic. Kudos to the calm and seemingly easy way you play them!
