No the world hasn't changed, & I knew someone who was threatened by his employer for giving his wife a lift to a protest over 40yrs ago.
I was blacklisted & ended up homeless for a couple of years, for taking my employer to a tribunal for unfair dismissal. They were found to be guilty & offered an apology, but that wasn't enough to prevent me having to spend a few years on the streets.

She got one thing right, going after a person's money is punishing... that was intended. Everything else is idiotic. They don't go after you over an opinion, they go after you if you're doing illegal activities and they find a reason to block your account. A bank account is not a right, banks are businesses and they have their own terms that you agree to when you sign the contract. You can use a small bank and risk losing your money, or even rely on cash. It's not a right, it's a contractual business with specific terms you need to adhere to. Bitcoin is ridiculous, you can't buy anything with bitcoin, it's never going to happen. You cross the line, you suffer the consequences. Period.
