Funny thing is Joshua has lost in the past because of time for the complete opposite reason. He could have brought up his other official match and then they would be forced to let him attack.
there were ishizus in grave, all his opponent needs to do is say "end of m1" activate an ishizu and then he still loses in time.

@@parroandre On his first case his opponent tried to enter battle face and Joshua had a quick effect and said wait I want to activate but didn't let him and proceeded to let his opponent enter the battle face. But in this case when Joshua tried to do it they said nope, you can't do that.
if they removed time rules people would stop to intentionally stall and games would be quicker believe it or not

I hate how easily time rules can be fixed. U just need to make the end of the turn instead of the phase. The 5 turn stuff just makes event 1000 times longer, this would avoid situations Like Joshua's
isn't that how it used to be before they changed it?
Opp was stalling for sure. I understand that 5 turns takes a little longer, but I’d rather have a fair game then an opp shuffling graveyard for 30 seconds.
I think ideally you would do end of the next turn

Thats not a fix. You dont see the real problem! The real problem is a SHARED CLOCK. How in the world is it possible that 1 player could waste 90% of the time but the oponent loses on time? Some first turns are longer than a game...wtf? The only real solution is a chess clock. Every other option with +2 turns +3turns promotes bad boring gameplay. Imagine chess clocks would have fixed some formats on their own by killing long ass boring to watch combo decks who needed 20min to pull out a big ass interuption board.
As a Brazilian, i loved the mystic mine ban, but loved the ycs winner deck

He didn't stall, bu in the case he did, he would have used that time in joshua mp1, thanks to the set card.
We coule see Vincenso desperation doing the plays as fast as he could so nobody would say that he wanted to win on time, but those 6 seconds he looked into GY, if he didn't do that, would be game for joshua.
He could, in the end of Joshua's main, activate the shuffler.
He could also use Sulliek, send Havnis and negate Rulk. Havnis shuffles itself and Merli, make Kit. Kit sends a Tear and Planet destroys Sprind. Tear shuffles itself and Kit, make a 3500 Rulk.
Unless I'm missing something, or Joshua had a very good top deck, he would not be able to deal damage that turn.
The problems Konami leaves in the game are literally pouring into their streams and it still takes them how long to realize how stupid their decision is. Mystic Mine took how many feature matches to finally get banned, so how many feature matches of intentional stalling until they change time/ end of match procedures?

Why couldnt Joshua go to battle phase? At YCS Utrecht 2019 it was ruled against him, when he wanted to deny Jake Quinsee the bp!
His opponent had a havnis on the field and a sulliek set wich he could use to negate lulukaros. Then he could also possibly fusion summon with havnis wich in a tear mirror basically means another series of 5+ chain links
If Joshua entered Bp, he would’ve lost, he needed like 2 minutes in main phase going rly fast to try to win

Don't really understand why Konami doesn't add the final turns ruling to these official tournaments. Having there be three last turns from the current player when time is called would be much more logical than just solely basing wins off of the game state at the end of time. These current timed matches are just promoted more slow plays and stalling; even if there is a judge and game hosts watching on standby, they do also tend to slip up and allow slow playing to happen.

Piyal had more Life Points when time was called in game 2, so he won it, thus both players have one win in the end which makes the match a draw.
When time is called, the turn player only has the current phase left to do something. If he decides to enter the next phase, the game will end and the life points decide who wins.

Tears, Floo, maaaaaaybe Spright, and Bystial variants showing up occasionally, and Kashitra post Photon Hypernova. Tears might have a slightly worse overall performance because Floo can run more graveyard hate(3 Macro and 3 DFissure go brrr) and Tears lose their way to stop Dimension Shifter, but overall it will likely be very similar.
We either need necrovalley reprint or limited so the price can reduce it’s crazy

A boring format filled with so much intentional stalling just for the sake of getting a time win or a draw is just the worst.
Doesn’t help that Ishizu Tear takes FOREVER to the point that people are playing cards to burn/gain life in the side.

Why do yugioh players share a clock? Imagine how the meta would change if people would start losing because of their long ass bot combos they do every game, the same broken shit every single game. People playing prank kids in MD and lost so many times on time... awesome shit. Tcg be like P1 wasting 90% of the time and P2 losing somehow on time because P1 burned him game 3. How can anyone support a shared clock?
How would you do it practically ? Have you watched a Ishizi Tear mirror ? In YGO you have the opportunity to interact with your opponent at any point during their turn, having to constantly switch the clocks (like you would in chess i believe) would just double the length of duels

Hell this video got more clicks than the matches. There would be no ishizu mirrors with a chess clock. If it happens then hf playing your decks. The same reason people are playing cowboy and burn cards people would play certain decks and cards because of chess clocks BUT it would be fair time rulez. You lose on your time end of discussion

@@Pkey995 how would you implement the chess clock? I have a few questions you may have already thought of. Would every tournament player have to buy one or would the stores have to flip the bill? If the chess clock is an app, than what happens when someone’s phone dies (in the middle of a match and between matches)? How would you provide charging for phones used as time keepers during day long events like YCS where every phone is on all day?
