Let’s see if the timing is causing these hard starts

  • Gonna try to get ole Rusty in time in my 3rd attempt to fix these hard starts.

    You need to look at the total timing at 3000 rpm
    Should be around 34 degrees before top dead center

      So just set my idle screw til I get around 3k and use my light again?

      You don't need to move the idle screw just stick something between the screw and stop to get around 2 or 3 k rpm then I think your fancy timing light can be adjusted to read 34 degrees BTDC read the instructions how to do that or search for total timing advance for setting up a centrifugal distributor
      It will run much better at highway speed

      @@marcokahny709 awesome man. It didn’t come with instructions but I bet I can find some on line. Does setting it there mess with the initial timing?
