- Greendale village leaders want to sell the 15-acre site that includes the old Boston Store to a developer who would tear it down and turn it into apartments, dining, and stores.
The Village of Greendale is known for its quiet streets, quaint downtown, and Southridge Mall.
"I love Southridge, I love that it’s there,” said Dawn Werth, a long-time resident.
She has lived blocks away from the mall for more than four decades. It is part of her family's memories.

Crazy how Target doesn't want to open up shop in Greendale. It would be smacked centered inbetween 6 other Target locations nearby but somewhat far in itself
Even though I live North Carolina I still
remember Capital Court, Southgate, Northridge and Southridge
and Mayfair.
The Grand was truly my favorite and walking over to shop at Marshall Fields
Those were the days.
Southridge Mayfair and Brookfield Square are the only malls doing good but Bayshore is high and expensive stores
Was there last night seen 15 teen Chicas get in an all out brawl. 4 girls bouncing 1 girls head off the ground.
Still I love Southridge.
Northridge should serve as an Example ! But what do I know 🤪 ?
Northridge's problems stemmed from their location! When it was first built, that location looked grand! After a couple of decades that area changed a lot, and this brought in some bad people to that area which drove away the good people!
I lived there from 1980-1985
❤
NO! Southridge did NOT open in 1970 as a sister to Northridge. Northridge opened in 1970 as a sister to Southridge!!
Check wikipedia southridge was indeed first
