Gorgeous flowers. It is a credit to both that your flower farm is so beautiful and successful. You are both such talented gardeners. I adore your Columbines, Jen. They are magnificent and will look stunning in flower arrangements

Mint, mint and more mint! I agree having an abundant supply growing invasively is 100% better than weeds! So useful AND smells wonderful. If you don’t grow chocolate mint, you should! Beautiful in bouquets, smells fantastic and it has beautiful dark foliage with a lovely purple flower. Lasts forever in bouquets.

Great video! Early spring flowers and greenery is something I need to really increase next year so this was extremely helpful! Beautiful property, and flowers!

Love the flowers. With the matrix, I wish they still made them, but sadly they don't. If you want storage-go for the Toyota Cross (the closest replacement for the matrix). I got the Corolla hatch and there is less space.

Where I live, lupins are an invasive weed taking over all the shoulders of country roads and highways. Maybe you could try if they like growing like that for you.

Like the columbine, like the cats, like the lupines, am jealous of the oriole sightings- hey, I'm north of Baltimore as in Baltimore Orioles and only THINK I've ever seen ONE.🙄People grow a lot of salvia around here because of the heat/humidity and it blooms for so long. Glad you have so much going on. 😁

I LOVE Columbine! Have you seen the Granny's Bonnet ones? I have some and they are beautiful in my garden.
Are your Iris' a specific variety and do they hold well for cut bouquets? Your flowers are beautiful!!

Oh my....I am riding Ragbrai LI and I just realized it goes right down P71. Looks like that's the backside of your farm?!? Can we see flowers from there?? I imagined myself skipping that day because the elevation gain is 4500+ft and 83 miles from Atlantic to Winterset. Maybe I can't skip this day!?!

Do you wrap marshmallow stage peonies in paper and keep in refrigeration? If so, what kind of paper (if no newspaper is on hand) and how long do they keep this way?

So beautiful, are those the Lupines that were just started this spring? Did you start the apple mint from seed and if so, when did you start it?

Btw, be careful with the black iris, when it is wilted it starts dropping inky liquid and stains everything! Permanent stains!

It dries okay-ish, but not the best dried flower. We do dry it with the wheat we talked about and it looks pretty.

Thanks for a great video! What is the name of the first Iris you harvested, mustard color? I think that would pair well with my Honey Dijon rose :-) I think it would sell well here in Sweden!!

Quick question! My daughter is trying to start a flower farm in our town and right now she’s just selling at a farmers market. Does she need to have a sales tax certificate in order to do that and is she supposed to be collecting sales tax on what she sells at the farmers market?
