Please be a voice actor. If i had the funds i would hire you to voice act a skyrim mod
Hello gamerpoets, I have recently been enjoying some Wabajak model list, and was wondering if this is something that you would consider posting for your community once your Skyrim modeling my way has been completed. Anyway, I hope you’re doing well. Keep up the great work. I’ve been enjoying your channel since the day I found it.
Hey Poet!!!! I'm so glad to be writing you right now!!! You are awesome! I do have a quick question for you. With the xedit sent to overwrite, is it safe for me to throw the xedit backup into the xedit cache folder? I noticed it didn't do it automatically like it did the cache. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't circumventing all my hard work. Thanks.
Hmmm...
It seems that MO2.5beta and/or Starfield aren't jiving with this.
For example, I tried to install "More Ships" from Nexus, which has a direct MO download button.
"No valid game data" and nothing in overwrite when following these steps?
want to play morrowind whit some mods, a massages say's "the game is in Program Files; this may cause issues because it's a special system folder" i'm using steam. morrowind is on C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Morrowind. Mo2 its on C:\Mod Organizer 2. don't no what to do
This guy is the bob Ross of modding.
Happy little mods...
This channel really is such a gem, thank you for all your hard work!
Thanks for hanging out for it = )
GamerPoets is that one guy who lifts a huge weight off your shoulder when modding a game. Blessings to you and your loved ones brother
😊 🙏
So that's what "Overwrite" is for.
This is the only Mod Tutorial channel I have seen that explains this. And that's why you are the best at what you do.
Thank you!
😊 🙏
"This is why you don't install 100 mods at once.." I feel called out 🤣❤
I never thought about doing it this way. I've always did the 100 mods at once thing, then just sorta.. bundled up all the loose crap in the Overwrite folder into one big ol' mod and threw it at the bottom of the load order. I never knew MO actually kept track of the stuff!
😉
better than me i never dropped the overwrite in at all
yeah Im just learning about this after installing 388 mods. oops!
You literally are the GOAT of tutorials. I truly believe you could make anything that needs deep extensive explaining entertaining or at least digestible.
I appreciate it 😉
Man, something is so comforting about the way you approach these tutorials. Makes me at ease and more confident with what I'm doing.
even though most of the time i already know these tweaks and tricks, i am always excited to see a new video by you. there's just something so soothing about your style, like the Bob Ross of modding. thanks for all your hard work and dedication over the years!
Appreciate you stopping in :)
Bob Ross of modding is perfect lol.
Wow thank you for taking the time to explain this for folks!
Also the new assets look great, you look so nice! What a fun breath of fresh air for your videos. Great work as always! 💕
Thank YOU foxmouse 😉
This was very helpful! Thanks for making these videos!
Omg! I was just searching your page to a video that could help me understand overwrites yesterday! Thank you for this.
Welcome :) good timing
What an incredibly clear, concise explainer. Thank you so much. Fantastic video!
You are such a hero for doing your tutorials! They have been such a big help!
Glad they help :)
You are such huge help for a new-ish player(started about a year ago and still haven't beatn Alduin). Also you have a very calming voice.
Looking sharp, Michael! Thanks for the continued tutorials.
Thanks Chinkchilla ;)
Your skill in explaining these topics is just unmatched. Thank you for taking time to turn something that looks like alchemy from the outside into basic mechanics
Thank you so much for explaining super clear and simple. Also, your audio is so crisp and top notch, I hit like just from hearing the intro.
Been subbed to your channel for many years. Good to see that you are looking well, Love all of your video's! Looking forward to watching many more!❤
Looking good, my dude. And thanks for going back in time and finishing that thumbnail so that I could watch what you were still completing!
Good to see ya man 😉
Your presentation is absolutely phenomenal. You're nailing it man. Very helpful and professional.
Thank you! I've looked for over a year on advice about what to do with xEdit overwrites. You are the first person to actually demonstrate.
Glad it helped :)
Amazing video! This helped a lot I have been confused by the overwrite on MO2 for a while now glad to get a good guide on it :)
Happy it helped ;)
the organization is inspiring. even the archived thumbnails are appreciated.
I've been using MO2 for years and never understood it until now. Thank you!!
Hey just wanted to say YOU ARE THE BEST - THANK YOU SO MUCH - so simple and straight to the point! ty ty ty!!! just subbed!!!
I don't know if I've ever commented on one of your videos before, but just a heartfelt thank you for really high quality tutorials. For years I've referenced one of your DynDOLOD setup videos whenever finalized my load order to start a playthrough and it's been invaluable.
I just got back to modding and have decided to stop using Vortex and start using Mod Organizer 2 instead; I was going to use your MO2 setup tutorial but I saw you've marked it archived. I'll probably still watch it but I'll keep your notice in mind. I look forward to more tutorials from you. Thanks again for helping make a complex process easier to understand.
Was waiting for this video for years. Thank you.
😉
you are so underrated. please don't stop doing these videos. your videos are the best and really easy to follow. thank you
Happy that you like them = )
Your Tutorials are a blessing for learning thow to use MO 2 properly, big thanks
You can tell you put a lot off effort and care into this guide. Props for that and also for making it short and to the point. You've got a trusting energy mate. Keep up the good work 👍
Oh my god brother like listening you speaking feels like I'm having a good time with my uncle I couldn't stop smiling through the whole video while I'm finally understanding on what is modding and how and to deal with it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Love you! You have helped me so much with my frustration with modding.
glad to have helped = )
While I am still a little confused since it is my first time modding I thank you for your crisp and clear format.
Mike thank you so much fir the work you do. My modding has come along way with your help. Thanks again !!
Your comment is appreciated = )
love you to death! modding is often a source of stress, as i struggle to understand, but your ASMR voice and calm demeanor helps tons!
Another great video, you absolute legend! Now, I need a GamePoets widget that pops up and reminds me to clean p my Overwrite folder every time.
😉
Another incredible tutorial!
In a little over 4 minutes you explained something that took me hours to learn on my own. MO2 is brilliant and an excellent example of function over form. It ain't as pretty as other mod managers but none can top it for functionality and nearly everything is right there in front of you rather than buried under numerous tabs and windows
glad it helped = )
you're like gaming angle bro, i peel my fingers off the anxiety, btw videos are really soothing to watch🤗🤗
This was brilliant! Thanks so much for what you do!
Glad you liked it :)
thank you sir for this tutorial its been a good help for me... im modding my fallout 4 for a year now...and just this now im modding skyrim..this is helpful thanks.
Your voice both relaxes the nooby frustration in me and makes me wonder what video trailer i'm watching at the same time
Love the vibe. Instant sub
I love these tutorials!
Michael, you're the best man. I have just started to get back into modding, at least I am trying haha, and I forgot what to do with "Overwrite". This is such a clear and concise explanation, I appreciate you man.
You got this ;)
Love the new format!
happy to hear it = )
I swear that overwrite folder has been baffling me since it first appeared. Thanks so much!
what a relaxing tutorial
That's one hell of a bass voice my man :D. Thanks for the great info and clear explanation!
Best damn tutorial I've seen on literally anything. Doesn't just teach you how to fix something, but the purpose of the supposed "problem" and how it works so we can figure out more on our own.
love you my man!
bros genuinely an excellent modding mentor
Wow came back after a long time so happy to see now you became popular 😁
Thank you, this is actually very useful info as I'm a beginner to MO2
Idk what I'd do without your videos man, I pull my hair out trying to mod this game but you always help. Cheers.
😊 🙏 🍻
I LOVE YOU, Yout tutorials make my days ❤❤❤❤ i can finally enjoy TESV without bug.
damnnnnn there he isssss. Thanks for your work man!
i just lost all my data and each time i start modding again i make it better and easier, thank you
I knew how to manage overwrite BUT I never knew about the "Ignore Missing Data" thingy when your created mod is italic. So I still learned something!! Thanks for all you do GP!
Glad that part was seen = ) I didn't say it verbally but I tried to highlight it.
Everytime I watch you mate, I just think, he’s such a nice guy, you have helped me heaps, hopefully that helps you today 😊
Wow, your channel has been very helpful. I am a beginner at modding and your videos have helped me a lot. Thanks for the amazing content
Happy they've helped :)
Thank you for the help, you make modding seem so much less intimidating
YOO, thank you for this video, and your amazing work! shoutouts to the skyrim discord and their beginners modding guide for linking me to this video also, happy modding!
Tell them i appreciate them linking = ) Thanks for stopping in
Thank you once again! 😄
😉
there was a time when I had no clue what to do to mod correctly. So glad I found these tutorials. G.O.A.T
😊 🫂
Thanks so much for the effort in explaining this tricky piece of modding. Looking forward to digging into this!
Can you set Xedit to oputput to a mod you have created?
Maybe? Seems possible but not sure off the top of my head.
@@gamerpoets I'll check that out. Thanks again!
Thank you for this tutorial!
Very nice guide, thanks!
Welcome :)
Love ya, Mike. Thanks for this.
❤️ 😊 🙏

great work as always. thx
😊 🙏
this helped out alot thank you !!!
dude your stuff was top notch before, this new format is a gold-standard for tutorials. absolutely stunning quality.
much love and bless you and your love ones you are always a help to me
I've asked how to handle the overwrite folder on a few different forums/sites and have never gotten a clear answer. Ty for this. Perfectly explained to me in a 4 min video.
Glad I could help
Honestly you helped me so much . I been losing my mind
The toughest thing about Bethesda modding (so many other games are easier) is not taking on too much at once. It's something you have to do in small pieces. Enjoy small victories. Don't worry about what people say is "cool" or "must have". Its your journey. Enjoy it on your terms.
Hi. You have a great voice, good explantion and carisma. Thanks. Please keep on!
😊 🙏
Your videos saved me massive headaches doing a heavily modded skyrim build last year.
Recently going back to Vortex for a FO4 collection mod run, made me realize how much better MO2 really is!
Though, I do have to say I was surprised how easy the collection was to setup and get playing.
Less headaches are good :)
I saw someone was working on a mod that converts Vortex collections to MO2 but haven't gotten around to trying it yet
I have been avidly watching and following your tutorials.
They are truly amazing!
Thank you for this video as well, I truly appreciate all your hard work.
I was wondering if you might consider creating tutorials on making StarField mods?🙏
Your ability to explain things so well is impressive and I would love to learn from you.
Regardless you have a lifetime subscriber!
Patiently waiting for your next lesson.🧘♀
Thanks again!✌
This was excellent. Thank you.
😊 🙏
Hey man, thanks for this!
Welcome 😀
Gracias mi rey, justo tuve este problema y muchas preguntas acerca de este tema que fueron saciadas con este vídeo. Saludos compare!
Happy to have helped = )
Dude I been modding games for years and you just answered the question that has stumped me for almost 8 years in a flat 4 minutes. Your ability to dumb down things is amazing. Love what you do. Keep it up.
Happy to have helped :) appreciate ya
@@gamerpoets not sure you have the time to help. but im running into a very strange issue. Im not sure if its something that I have done or because the F4SE is messed up. Ive modded Skyrim for years, not a pro but far from a novice, mainly from you videos helping dramatically. So heres the issue. No mods installed in MO2 and just F4SE in my Fallout 4 folder, as Ive always done, soon as I load the F4SE launcher from MO2 I get the message -- You are using a newer version of Fallout than this version of F4SE supports. Then it puts the files except for the data files into the Overwrite folder in a Root folder. Ive tried creating that into a mod but dont work. Now matter what i try Its removing the F4SE files and putting them in overwrite. I know something is funny because i tried to load all this into an older game and just drop the new F4SE into that game file, But again it pulls the new files out of the folder...except for the Data files and puts them in overwrite. Although then it would replace the newer F4SE with the previous installed ones. I have tried to leave it be and manually install as normal, used MO2 to load creation kit and dlc into mods by zipping them and loading them that way. Im looking into all your videos about INI tweaks and what files need to be Read ONly because i may have messed something up trying to get the new F4SE to work with other tutorials that were out of my skill level and just dont remember which ones i messed with. Thanks for taking the time to read this and keep up the good work sir.
It sounds like a f4se issue. I'm new ish to fallout 4 modding. F4se is my next video to make as its the next thing I'm going to install. I'll keep a look out for things. Not sure what I'll find though.
@@gamerpoets Ive just never had the script extender removed from the games folder and put in an overwrite Root folder. I cant find any link to this ever happening or how to fix it. I can play through MO2 if I use mods that dont require F4SE and just run the regular fallout4 executable. Those mods run normal.
your videos are somthing special hope you know that your hard work has really good results
Appreciate ya:)
Thank you so, so, so much. You're a saint 🥺
Thanks for the video!
Dude your voice alone is worth $$$
Amazingly elaborate as always Michael. You look good :)
😊 🙏
Your voice, organization and flow through this vid, not to mention the animations, wow!? Great work!! You should make some kind of podcast, your voice alone would suffice to make it successful. Good luck on all your endeavors!
0:29 It was there all along! I couldn't find it and it was right before my eyes all this time! :D
By the way awesome tutorial, I love that chill ambiance, I could almost hear a crackeling fire in the background and smell the cookies baking in the oven. x)
Excellent clear description. MO2 Newbies, this is the way.
😉
video was so good im leaving a comment just for engagement. you are a charming man.
I knew much of this, but I was never certain if I could/should create an xEdit cache mod, so thanks for clearing that up.
Happy to help = )
Thank you very much, I was getting that notification with a Fallout New Vegas mod and I couldn't fix it.
You cannot comprehend the sheer weight of your videos. They make modding so much clearer/easier, even for a veteran.
hi do you have a video that can teach me how to do properly mod loading and in what load order i should put my mods? i'm lost
bless you king!!
