I used to have a Goreclaw stompy-deck, and it was surprisingly good. You'd be shocked how many amazing green creatures there are with 4-or-more power that become borderline broken when they cost a mere 2 less.
Goreclaw is crackeddd. 2 mana reduction is a lot, I have her in Henzie right now and she makes the deck run so smooth

One thing to note on springleaf drum is that it works well in decks where you want the value of your commander, but don't necessarily want it attacking. You'll have that commander in play quite often.
Dusk Mangler is my favourite finisher in Yarok. Its value increases dramatically when you can blink it, multiply its trigger or even Saw it in Half
Really glad Goreclaw made it into the video, she was the first commander deck that I built from scratch and she's one me wiite a few games in my playgroup.
Since it's on mind, as I was working on it while listening to this video, I'd really love to see a video from you guys as a followup to your commander cube video - specifically, what changes you've made *and how you made them*. I built a three player commander cube at the start of COVID and haven't updated it since, and the prospect of going through it and updating it is daunting, to say the least. It's designed like a puzzle, with lots of cross synergy between archetypes, so changing archetypes or what cards are in each archetype is a very difficult task.
I would LOVE to make another commander cube video, it’s a little bit off our beaten path but we’ll see!
I'm primarily a Blue and Bant player .. But I love my Goreclaw deck ❤, made it so it has 4 ramp spells and 8 cost reduction, if I keep drawing, the threats Don't stop dropping
I’ve been toying with idea of building a Sygg, River Cutthroat deck with Sygg as the Commander.😊
I had one at some point with monarchy and other small incentives to get people attacking each other just to get some sweet draw, it was fun
I run Duplicant on my budget Alesha and it's *wild* how much work a card can do
I had duplicant in an all creature nethroi deck where every creature had 2 or less power and used creatures with devour as sac outlets. Duplicant was such a house in that deck
Tempted by the Oric is sick, look at all the commanders and utility-creatures at low cmc
Have a goreclaw commander deck. Definitely my favorite mid power casual deck. It’s always fun to stomp people with some big mean mono green.
Try Runadi, Behemoth Caller. I love her. Motto of the deck is "large and in charge". Runadi eleminates the problem of big green creatures (they are slow) by giving them additional +1 counters and hasting them.

Sygg is one of the few non-zombies left in my Scarab God deck, can confirm it does tons of work.
I have a Sygg deck and Can confirm all this.
Some goad. Plenty of removal, grinds value really well while bleeding opponents out.
Treeshaker Chimera would be great in my Henzie deck!

Flickering Dusk Mangler is a great way to win games if you're in a lower budget/power, combat-based meta.

As someone with a Kemba Kha Eduring equipment deck I agree, but they’re so cute so why wouldn’t you wanna steal them
Sygg, River Cutthroat would go great in a Zimone and Dina deck, and if that deck had Dina, Soul Steeper, your Target opponent from Z&D would lose 2 life and Dina SS would make them lose a 3rd life...plus it's Blue and Black which is part of Z&D colors. You'd also get to draw 2 cards with that combo.
My question is, with that combo, if you draw 2 cards as is, would you have to sacrifice a creature in order to trigger it's abilities? ..Because it does say when you draw your second card.
(I tried wording that as well as I could.)
Am I onto something here? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

goreclaw is an awesome commander, one of my favorite decks, als oI love the secret lair version so much, it makes a 5 mana 5/5 to a 3 mana 6/6 trample, any card that is actually good becomes insane
I have Dusk Mangler in my Aminatu blink deck and it got so much salt I actually swapped it out eventually 😂
You're not the only people wondering why Exchange of Words is legal in regular, non-acorn black-border world. Mark Rosewater said that this was the card that most surprised him on the list of "yeah, this works within the rules" Unfinity cards.

As a personal rule I refuse to use unfinity cards ( I think mixing illegal and legal cards was a really stupid design) but having played with some all I can say is wow, most hit in a fun way. Just not Jace, screw that dude and his zones.

Thank you! My entire point on this matter has been either that it is insulting in so many ways. It either disrespects the setting where you break the rules of the world in which author carefully instituted, it is pandering, or it is meant to hold people in a particular political light. These worlds are often times crafted to resemble the times and places they are set in, so character magically being something they physically cannot be according to the story's own rules. I need not mention pandering here, but the overwhelming need to portray their fellow man in a particularly prejudicial light, not because it's deserved, but because they want it to seem like a bigger issue than it already is. I think the part that gets me the most is that they are wasting effort as well as some seriously good acting chops on a non-canonical version of a character in which they have to further alter the work to get it tow fit properly.
I got pair o dice lost, but more to get all my expensive rituals back after i crack my led. That card is broken at times.
Same rule as whenever I watch Sbmtg: I see cat, I click like.

they've said before they don't really like reverberate, idk if the extra mana is worth the extra copy. it's too bad that Balmor, the storm commander doesn't have magecraft so they trigger for copies, but unfortunately they don't.
you are a spellslinger deck, you are probably not running enough evasive creatures or creatures you don't care about losing to make this consistent+there are cheaper ways to copy spells, and if you are not a spellslinger deck you probably don't need this card. This looks fun if you use it in a timmy way, but it doesn't look good to me, maybe if it was an instant there would be more uses for it
@@soleo2783 fair enough. I run a lot of value instant/sorceries in my aggro decks, so it always has a use when I play it. But for most spellslinger decks it doesn’t work well. Of course, it’s amazing in Najal, the Storm Runner.

Seizan, Perverter of Truth from Champions of Kamigawa is $30. They reprinted it in Jumpstart 2022 and it's $6. Now, with MOM's version, it's 30 cents. I got my version from Jumpstart at the beginning of the year for $7 and thought it was a steal. Then I just pulled one from MOM and now I'm sad.
