I grew up on a farm and had night vision goggles. These people remind me of the skunks, raccoons and opossums that would sniff around the house and barn doors to smell if any goodies were laying around or got dropped during the day. Most had the same reaction when they heard a human voice too. LOL

I went to the dentist last month for the first time in 3 years (because they were all closed here). Everyone had to stand outside the office building for someone to come out and take our temperature and also use the finger clamp pulse oximeter. Then a long form specifically with Covid questions had to be filled in outside (last time traveling, have you had Covid, etc.). Then when that was finished one at a time got let in to get attended to from behind a large shield wall over the reception desk, except for a small opening where we could enter our charge card info. Finally into the room to be seen by someone in not only a mask, but also a face shield. Does anyone want to tell them that Covid is over?
These videos are definitely an eye opener. We have cameras all around our house and a big Black Lab dog who is very protective of our property, HER PROPERTY! I guess having cameras help to a certain extent, but honestly our dog is really our protection cause she has access to go in and out of the house 24/7, plus I have insomnia and am up constantly and if I do fall asleep, any little noise will wake me up and I don't think anyone wants to come face to face with me and my dog. Lol

The 2nd home I owned was on a busy street. I had a Keeshond (45 lbs, Pomeranian face that smiled) Non sporting breed, Sweetest pup ever! He frightened plenty of drunk students off my lawn (I lived next to a university)
@@lauras6603 wow Laura, that's great that your dog scared the drunk students off your property, especially because when these students are drunk, you never know what they are capable of doing. Even if no one sees your dog, but your dog is barking from inside your house, their bark alone is frightening, plus no one knows how big or small the dog or dogs are. My Lab is 3 and she's 87 pounds and a lover to people and kids but doesn't like other dogs, plus we have 3 cats which she doesn't care for either, but if a stranger came on our property, she will definitely attack to protect us. Her bark alone is scary, but if we let someone in our front door or in the backyard, she wants to kiss them all up and wants their attention, but that's because she knows it's ok cause we know them and let them in. I often joke that, "Labs can't be trusted," and we all know they can't especially when there's food involved, lol. Seriously though, someone broke into my house and my old black lab followed them to their house where we later recovered my property and my old dog.
I am joking that labs can't be trusted because they're wonderful dogs and although happy go lucky, they'll go into protector mode real quick.
The black lab is the best protector says the meter reader.

It is very easy to install and it works very well, with a clear picture through the app and good in-home use (we added the chime, which is also easy to install and doesn't require another thought to use).
I've seen a morning show on TV that showed several examples of pirate-proof deposit boxes that they can deliver big packages into, as well as your mail. Once the packages and mail are put inside, no one can steal the stuff. It's impossible to steal or jimmy the doorlock. The owner has the only key to open it and remove the stuff. They've also got a brilliant feature that bolts the unit to the floor or concrete so the it's can't be stolen along with its contents, either. One of them reminds me of a U.S. mailbox a little, but it's lighter and prettier, and looked impossible for anyone to break into or steal from. You don't need Ring to deter piracy if you have one of these. They looked really cool. Can't be broken into, can't be stolen.
I wish my neighbors would close their garage doors if they're not in there or when they leave. lol This videos are making me be more aware of my surroundings now lol :)

OMG! I also felt bad for the kid needing to call his dad!!! I was sad as it ended thinking he was being treated suspiciously when he just needed someone to call his dad. Then you popped in and pointed out his hoodie pocket!!! I did NOT see that. Wow. This has me thinking how easy it would have been for me to believe him. Although, I would probably call his dad, but I would never open a door. I always told my kids if they're with people who are up to no good, get the hell out of there and call me, even if it means asking a stranger for help reaching me. Back then, they didn't have cell phones or these small security cameras. These days, I would be afraid they would be shot if they walked up to someone's door in the middle of the night. Anyway, I felt sad for the guy in the video until your keen eye caught the gun.
In situations like that just call the police, give them the story, and description. If it's legit, they can get him home. If not legit, they can get him off the streets.
This has happened at my home a few times. Some were legit and others were not.
All the kids have their own phones now, so he can damned well Google a map or call Uber or call his daddy himself. But he's lying.
Many years ago, I had locked myself out of my car. I had my 8 month old baby with me, and rang a doorbell (at 1pm) asking for help. This was before cell phones (1992) next to a park in an affluent part of San Diego CA. A man in his 70âs peered at me thru the tiny door window & told me he was going to call police if I didnât leave! Iâd just come from services & was wearing a nice dress & heels. Let me tell ya, it feels awful to be treated with disdain when youâre honestly in need of human kindness! But thereâs none to be found; these creeps have ruined it for everyone!
