Many people have theorized that the Emperor Bulblax fought in Pikmin 1, Hey Pikmin, and Pikmin 4 are actually elderly Bulblax (Sovereign Bulblax) while the one in Pikmin 2 and the ones fought underground in Pikmin 4 are actually new Emperor Bulblax that are still growing.
Yeah i always like that theory that what we are actually dealing with is his children

I apologize if i end up getting this wrong so feel free to correct me on the matter as im not an expert on the subject anyways i guess sovereign is a term that means supreme if im not mistaken so essentially its a bigger stronger emperor bulbax

Its like they can't decide if Emperor Bulblax should be a force to be reckoned with, or just another enemy. He was so intimidating in Pikmin 1, now look how they massacred my boy.
At least we still have sovereign bulblax which feels like an actual boss fight

when you fight against the 2 emperor's with no purples, it's a pretty tough time.
It's a lot more like inconsistent naming because the sovereign bulbaxes are basically the old emperor bulbaxes.
I really wish you didn't do that stupid "look how they massacred my boy" thing... They never "massacred" anything.
This just shows how far Pikmin have come.
In Pikmin 4 they can absolutly destroy the very thing that almost killed them all in Pikmin 1.
I would not call the emperors just "enemies" in pikmin 4 because one jump killed 70 of my pikmin😅
The sovereign blubax species took over 100 pikmin from me because I thought it was just the small version, I have beaten the other games before.

the Empress Bulblax is essentially an evolutinary failsafe for the Bulborbs whenever a Bulborb population lacks certain factors in their enviorment for sustainable breeding, its not uncommon for male bulborbs to undergo a sex change to become an Empress Bulblax. under normal circumstances an Empress Bulblax doesnt exsist and the Bulborbs typically breed through standard mating pairs.
the Emporer Bulblax is an entirly seperate species of Bulborb, its theoretically possible for the Empress to give birth to them as larva but they are not the same species of Bulborb.

@@ancientcheesegod it's theoretical because all breeds of Bulborb look exactly the same as grubs and because the Empress exist to enrich the Bulborbs population in the face of poor breeding conditions it's possible that the Empress gives birth to tons of different breeds of Bulborb, including Emperor Bulblax grubs.

Oh, I’ve only played the pikmin 3 deluxe demo (which they weren’t even in) and pikmin 4, I wasn’t born when pikmin 1 and 2 were released and I didn’t even know pikmin was a thing when the wii was still relevant.
If you asked young me about olimar, i would’ve been like “Olimar? Who on earth is that?”

Oh how you’ve fallen( I beat it in Pikmin 4 by giving it a bomb rock(very easy) and then rushing him oatchi(just barely kills him) and it worked every single time.
Just don't use any bombrocks/items then. Not using an item makes some parts of the game more challenging and enjoyable. Items and the rewind feature are mostly for the beginners. I don't really use those often, I kinda hate it when people abuse them and say the game is easy, even though you have the choice to make the game harder by not using items or rewind. And if you want an easier experience, then you can use those things. I think the emperor and sovereign bulblaxes are pretty fun fights without the use of an item or anything like that.

Yeah with a bit of coding he can get added in and functional (I think) it’s just that the textures look a bit off and doesn’t make to many expressions with its face
Very glad they brought him back with a very cool looking modern look. Definitely one of my fav Pikmin enemies overall. I was a bit disappointed with their disappearance in 3 but its fine.
Yeah but sadly ultra spicy spray makes emperor bulblax a joke since he's not that challenging to fight against than in the first game

@@nortjr yeah but I scared over losing too many of my pikmin over emperor bulblax (unless you use purple pikmin because combined them with ultra spicy spray make the fight feel like a cakewalk)

I have a feeling that the emperor in Pikmin 1 is actually a sovereign. Sovereigns haven't been discovered yet in the era of Pikmin 1.
Funny enough in the files of pikmin 3 is a smaller emporer bulblax that can be loaded in game only issue is that it will be stuck in a costant animation look unable to do anything.
He may not be a giant dweevil riden by louie nor a golden morphing plasma obsesed with olimar but the emperor bulblax the most memorable, chalenging and epic final boss in pikmin history.

I lost so many pikmin, and closed the game, restarted it and left the area, and got bomb rocks to be both of those bulblaxs

I killed emperor bulblax, the first one using bombs, then the second one with mines, which chipped a lot of health, then I used my pikmin. No casualties at all.

@@FlappoTheSilentScientist Actually no. In Pikmin 2 they roared too, but they roared like once in every 500 years so it's almost like they never had it.
Now the roar is much stronger; they do it more constantly, it makes pikmin lose their flower (making them weaker) and it unburries other creatures (like mitites, sheargrubs and other emperor bulblaxes). Also they scare Oatchi too.
It makes me laugh how in pikmin 4, they need to put 2/3 or the giant emperor who literally only appears like 5 times in the entire series just to it a boss fight because at that point they already nerfed the emperor bulbwax so hard at that point.

We all gotta love this boss, but if they ever release pikmin 5, they gotta make him like one of the most powerful bosses in the franchise (mostly cause the series is likely to end past this point)
It has almost literally outsold every entry in the series just with the information provided from Famitsu so I don’t think the saga will end soon
