Playing the ball and scoring a goal when the opposing team stopped playing due one of YOUR teammates beeing injured is not a super brain move. It's just terrible sportsmanship.
Especially when you YOURSELF signal "hold on, one of our guys is down"...
thank you, I was about to post the same comment
Not just that, on 0:25 the ball is clearly not placed correctly
Not the first time it happened with PSG in Ligue 1, go watch Bastia-PSG in 2015 when Verratti used the fact the Gk was out of his goal and went to check on Matuidi the Paris cm who was on the ground, to score the first goal early on in the game
The ref allowed it that time as the ball was in play but extremely unsportsmanlike and unfortunate conduct in my eyes but anyways, PSG went on to win 6-2
0:52 is 100% unsportsmanlike.
Many of these are unsportsmanlike. scummy behavior.
if the base of the ball is behind the line then it's fair game
2:03 the opponent was the one with the brain, it so far offside that you have to accuse the ref of throwing for it
If you look at the excact moment the ball is hit, the ankle of the recieving player overlaps with the one of the defenders back foot
@@lukely_Arguable but his head was clearly way in front tho. It was a clear offside to me too.
thats not how offside works@@lukely_
@@lukely_ This might depend on the time this was played. As far as I remember - at least currently - the rule is that any part you are allowed to play the ball with counts - the part closest to the goal that is. So it doesn't even matter where his feet are - even though the foot in front is also already closer to the goal than the backfoot of the defender.
Go watch on youtube, Schalke vs Fc Basel offside it was a clear offside, at least 1 meter and the goal shouldn't been given...
Rashford clearly interfering. Makes so many motions towards the ball.
6:10 definitely offside.
*Edit* 4:30. Don't know how I got that one wrong. Clearly wasn't using 100% of my brain there 😂
Man United fan here. Yes. Definitely. I have absolutely no clue how that goal was allowed to stand. I fckn hate fans who say it should be allowed because when it happens to them they'll be crying for eons.
agree
Where is Rashford at 6:10?

@@Conaty Hahah yeah
"balls" 💀💀
@@Terminator_Barca You're The Only One Who Got The Point. Why He Said Balls There Is Only One Ball 😭😂
At 4:30, Rashford OBVIOUSLY interfered with the ball...he was babysitting it for at least twenty yards, basically hand-holding it until the other player got there. Ref should be fired for overruling that offside call. Pathetic.
Same at 5:24...28 pretty much starts offside and stays offside right up until he heads the ball into the net. The shot @ 5:29 shows him way offside and that never changes until he heads the ball.
Yep, it's a basic rule for offsides that's been around for decades. You're not offside as long as you don't interfere with the play.
Refs aren't the brightest fellows. I mean they work as refs for a reason. It's not like you're going to get a rocket scientist.
Just opened the comment section to find this 😂
1:58 they are literally all offside lmao
came to the comments for an explanation of that one lmao
@@chris_4477 his foot is close to the box, but the player's body who scored is all the way in the box
Agreed! Some protected the ball with their bodies and the goal was counted on-side.
Some of those are more like "When players are 100% a**hole"
That's the reason why I dont play football, i would be so frustrated at this case for sure
the kdb assist to alvarez also deserves a mention (city vs burnley 3-1)
i love you 💙(im on mac but its a light blue heart)
5:10 it was smart but was offside interfering with play
Absolutely
Same for 4:22
@@tonchrysoprase8654 nope the player was in an offside position but did not commit an offside offense.
I am a referee and I know the difference between the two cases
@boringextrovert6719 did you not see him guarding the ball
@@daxer01 he avoided the ball, never challenged for it, did not interfere with any opponent or caused anything that denies their ability to play the ball. No offside

They were miles off
That could happen in pre-VAR times only

Manchester United’s goal vs Manchester city should have been offside because rashford interfered in the play

Bro you must be blind. Stop the video at 2:18 and see the truth

5:56 I was really glad they showed the Dutch goal against Argentina that happened in the 101st minute of that world cup game (semi finals I think?). I was watching the game live and I lost my shit when they scored. I don't watch much sports so this was the most epic-unbelievable-unlikely-smart thing I'd ever seen done live. I'm ethnically half-dutch and would love to see them win the WC one day.
5:10 that's one of the most stupid ref decisions ever made. Rashford influenced the play, guarding the ball. Clear offside
I say a goal is a goal
Agreed 100%
He has to touch it for it to be offside
@@rayson4337 Nope. You are off-side even if you don't touch the ball. You can only continue play if you don't interfere with it, in this case, he clearly did. By guarding the ball.
The De Bruyne one is the legal way, he stopped and got out of the way of the ball and opposing players. That is ok, moving along the ball is not ok. Even obscuring vision of the ball to the keeper is not ok, can't do that.
@@pmp1337wow, someone that actually knows rules of football on the internet 😮
7:48 the commentator was too happy😭
Why is it ok to do that ? Dont understand If its American football or not, not gonna lie
@@bartholomewkuma467 it’s just kind of the rush of the game. It’s not an American football thing it just happens every league
"the rush of the game" nah bruh he put all his body on that knock, that's not a purpose he just volonterly do it whatever its not allow because this sport is full of asshole without fair-play
I love how most of these are just random things we've tried at school or just good movement off the ball
is it just me or are at least 1/3 of those situations, using an "injured" player from the own team to get an advantage? especially the last one. i think signing the opponent to stop because of an injury and then just playing on when he respects that, to me is more a sign of bad faith than actual gameawareness or high iq play...
That Schalke goal was waaaay offside
The first one is bang on , just too smart
3:15 Anyone else got Supa Strikas vibe? 😂
That passive offside abuse shouldn't be legal. And the last one is just a blunder
1:55 yeah, he's definitely offside.
9:54 the free kick gets taken - should've been a goal.
Yup, and the thing is if Ronaldo wouldnt have gone for the ball the ref would have just said the ball is in play. Damned if you do, damned if you dont.
The England restart vs Croatia is 0% brain. Firstly it's a pretty basic that all players have to be in their own half of the pitch. Secondly, even if that wasnt the case and the England kick off was legal, Rashford was offside. 0% brain. Or maybe that's 100% of Rashford's brain, who knows
im offended im from england 😭😭
I might be wrong, but I think you can't restart if you have an opposing player on your side. But if they are all off the pitch celebrating, then you can technically restart right away.
@@showwhite7320 Law 8 says "all players, except the player taking the kick off, must be in their own half of the field of play"

bro the ridiculous balls one at 7:22
Shows you how dumb we (England) are, @ 8:10 from kick off Rashford would've been offside from that Lingard pass 😂
I saw people on IG arguing on was that legal or not, not anyone seemed to notice that even if it was, Rashford would've been offside either way 🤣🤣
@@saptaccrvima3563 uhm, you cant be offside if you kick a dead ball. otherwise, every defender at a freekick would go behind the ball. and lingard was in his own half. so no offside. but the ref didnt continue play, thats why its not allowed.
@@saptaccrvima3563 furthermore, law 11.3 states that there is no offside after a goal kick, so lingard would be onside, even if he stood 20 meters inside the opponents half.
@@DaKobaa you wrote that entire shabang only to be completely wrong... I was literally talking about Rashford (whom I've literally mentioned in the comment as well) because he was the one offside at the moment of LINGARDS pass, ya muppet 🤡
@@saptaccrvima3563 oh wow, I didn't know Lingard was the one kicking the dead ball. Ohh wait, you got my comment wrong, well done.
As I already said, Rashford can't be offside as he is kicking a dead ball. it's the same as taking a free kick and all opponents just run behind the ball. that doesn't make the kicker offside. or if you and a teammate are in a 2v1 against the keeper, if you pass the ball and your mate is behind the ball, that doesn't make you offside. I mean, jeez, do you really know nothing about the laws of the game? how can the person performing a pass be possibly offside ever? only a person receiving the pass can be offside.
and then you also have the audacity to use the clown emoji and call me a muppet.
The guy on the last play of the video was 100% just being a dick.

England vs Croatia 2018 was so dumb that's some playground shit. Made Eng look down bad.
That toney goal should be disallowed, you can't move the ball,he moved it twice and var should've warned the ref,but it's the premier league, same with that man utd goal,it's a clear offside
It does count i think, there isn't a exact spot for where the foul has taken place, as long as the ball is touching the white line, I think it's okay to move it
@@PeakHound You're not allowed to move the ball a couple feet to the side and move the foam too. Granted, Turner, the Forest players, and/or the ref/VAR should've said something about it.
@CoconutJewce yeah ig. the guy who scored is famous for being a football gambler btw, so i think he did that to get some bread💀🤣🤣

6:29 Number 15 on blue got the best ticket in the stadium...his ticket was down on the field where he got to watch everyone play up close.
@2:15 how is that not offside?
The player needs to be onside when the ball is _kicked,_ not when the player receives the ball.

4:30 - even though he doesn't touch the ball he is irritating the goalie since he is taking part in the play. So yeah... should have been called as offside. If he doesn't participate the goalie would have played differently.
10:39 -not too remarkable when you consider his first touch was HORRIFIC.

12:13 the player thought that Suarez wanted to shoot the ball between the legs of the two Uruguayan players so he pushed them to cover their position , but by doing so he abandoned his own position which was actually what Suarez was aiming for from the beginning 🤯🤯.

hi... im a messi you like a messi🤗😅
09:10 I don't like Ronaldo. However, to me taking the ball and scoring seemed legit since it looked like they took the free kick. I even expected this to be one of the times where the opposition didn't realize that the free kick has already taken place - there are some trick plays that use that method.
Anthony was reckless as usual he should have scored
At 10:55 wtf dude? You stopped the motion and green the area before the ball was kicked? When the free kick is actually shot, cause this is when the off or onside counts and not before, there is a defender in the back that covers everyone.
This is not smart play. This is bad defence. Almost the whole team is defending on the same line and just one is a meter or so back. This is actually when players don't use their brain. Coach must have been really pissed off with him.
There other offsides in the video though. Lots of them.
0:24 that is not even near the line lol.
