Kristen always seems so uncomfortable in interviews. Drew's lack spacial boundaries makes me uncomfortable. Interestingly, Drew's space invasion seems to have provided a comfort that enabled Kristen to be comfortable in this interview. Kinda cool. Love 'em both.

That’s why it seems she’s more comfortable. and also Drew’s show is kind of funny in that I think there’s a live audience but somehow Drew acts and interviews like it’s just them in a room with a camera. Oh my God, the sincerity is killing me.
For people who keep moaning about how Drew sits too close to her guests and keeps touching them- just cos you guys feel uncomfortable doesn’t mean the guests feel uncomfortable 💁🏽♀️ + the difference between Drew and other talk show hosts is that she was an A list actress in her prime so she connects really naturally with the stars that she interviews, that’s probs why she feels really close and touchy with them. She’s probs met with a lot of these stars at parties and social events etc. they’re all from the same world.

I was in the audience for this taping.. I agree with what you say... but Kristen seemed to be uncomfortable at first.. kept easing back.. but she finally gave in.. and it flowed...Drew is everything you think she is and more.. she talked to the audience off camera for a long time..
I know Kristen suffers from Social anxiety so it is nothing that Drew is doing! Drew is actually doing the right thing!

Probably or they understand that she's doing it to show that she's a safe place and that she sees them. Like inside of them, so they can open up more, without being worried about being judged. Like touching someone's arm or hand. Idk. I'm sure they know what type of person Drew is and probably wouldn't be on the show if they didn't like her or were creeped out. They probably go over what to expect before filming and iron out any details.
as soon as the presenter touched on the topic of the film, Kristen immediately tensed and crossed her arms over her chest, which clearly indicated a conflict between her and her character and she was uncomfortable talking about it
Funny because I saw that she opened up her right arm by placing it on the back of the couch and she leaned into the space while Drew continued the question. She actually seemed more open when Drew asked about the film. Kristen’s film is something else, I’ve got to say. Years from now, a whole generation won’t even register the Twilight film series with her because they’ll have a whole other film genre they’ll associate with her. Good for her doing her own films. I wonder if that’s why she wanted to do Twilight - to make enough money and build enough prestige to make her own films that aren’t being made right now. If so, she’s a smart cookie.
Drew didn't pace her question, she jumped into the Film Qn without giving some pause there... like immediately after Kristen was sharing something private and intimate about meeting her partner - bad timing there! Clearly, Drew was just thinking ahead, versus being fully present with that personal sharing moment for Kristen. it was disruptive, maybe that is why her mannerisms changed too.

This way of interviewing is... too much for me. I think when the connection is there, or the need for closeness (so fast) is there feels good. For example this way really worked with Brooke, but this was a complete miss. I have no idea if this is her default mode, but I hope she reads the room a bit better.
Could someone talk to Drew about personal space? Not everyone is comfortable with crossing personal space.
