I don't know how long he's been in Turin's community but since his Demons of Chaos triple large entity build in the recent tournament, im pumped whenever I see hes in a match

Wow, what a dynamic way to play Cathay! And Houseplant once again showing why he's one of the GOATs- he just doesn't quit!
This was a super cool match and felt really thematic. Having the core Cathayan army anchoring things down while their more elite high mobility units so effectively preyed on Norsca's leadership weakness, a very cool battle executed very well tactically. Love to see it.

My jaw dropped multiple times watching Berrserk's gameplay. I've been watching this channel since WH2 and I don't know if I've watched any match with this level of tactical intrigue. Setting it up to be a lane fight and then laying a trap on the Norscan back line... The leadership crushing... The boldness of the micro. This is the kind of gameplay that makes me wonder why I even bother playing myself because I don't think I'll ever reach that height. In a good way. Kudos.
Seeing a unit of full health trolls routing will always be funny
I don't think I've ever seen Cathay being played that dynamically. The forbidden tech is strong with this one.

Watching Beserk is a treat. Always shaking up the meta and bringing some interesting picks. Makes these battles so much more interesting for viewers 👍
As soon as we saw the Celestial Lion come out with that ITP-stripping ability I knew some dark lord was going to shock the world; awesome match by Berrserk

Very excited to see how the meta gets shaken up in a few weeks.
...Although to be honest I think I'm more excited just to see more Empire, Nurgle, and the Dawi games being played.
I'm most excited to see the Nurgle units in action. Pestigors and Rot Knights especially look like they'll be pretty good. An elite, actually fast cav unit and some cheap, quick vanguard deploy great weapons. Tamurkhan might be cool to watch too with all his abilities.

The bombardment is also kinda cool cause if you whiff it doesn't just do nothing and feel horrible while at the same time, still costing micro to fix the miss

Very interesting to see the very Mobile Build of Cathay. Maybe Norsca brings in some Javelins to screen them out?
Unga Bunga wasn't bad, there were some misplays that certainly worked against him. Throwing Wulfrik into spears and leaving him there wasn't great, losing a quarter of his health to peasants is pretty bad. Very good game though, I'd like to see this Cathay style again, love seeing the experimental stuff.
I'm guessing the Astro was a comet/Urannons caster if Houseplant went Marauder Champions, since dragon's breath has no AP
Berserk again proving the meta isn’t all that it seems, I’ve long thought it been undercooked so to speak. Super excited to see how things develop with the next DLC
This game was cool, not only an offmeta build but also and incredible gameplay. And even tho Norsca is meta we don't see it that much, so at least was interesting. We need more games like this.

Amazing game, extremely dynamic Cathay play, have never seem anything like it and the tenacity of Norsca was legendary. But Norsca does need some loving, some rework, something to bring them into the more modern time so to speak 🙂

As a Norscan Main its nice to see people still play the faction but they DESPERATELY need an updated! They have the tools to fight any faction but there just bare bones compared to all the others that have way more options. Great match and video by the way!
They're in the top factions right now, they don't "desperately" need an update.

Maybe the Astromancer had Comet against Champions? The Alchemist with Plague of Rust seems more like a pick for gooning, considering Berrserk's build.

Now that is Aerial battle done right, picking them apart one by one! That junk also providing harmony and artillery for the entire game was disgusting.

I think it'll depend on how much jank is in their attack animations (rest in peace Rot Flies) and cost, but having a mobile, AP anti large will be really useful on the Nurgle roster so there's a lot of potential
Well like Nickelback said, some actual mobility for Nurgle on top of AP and anti large will be pretty spicy for certain matchups

These are games from Housecats tournament's top 16 iirc, not the season finals, even though Houseplant and Berrsserk played in both of those
The GS-TK match from a few days ago was from the same tournament, and you'll probably see a couple more replays from that tournament in the next few days until ToD embargo is lifted

If Norsca could somehow anticipate the celestial lion, I wonder what would be a good counter. Something like Javelins to poke away and keep Berrserk honest?
Javelins would be a good answer, they could probably take its HP down real quick and punish the greedy early plays.
Hard to predict non meta cathay build. If you bring javs and you go against arterallie and firing build than the javs gonna suck. Non meta is hard to predict
@@ramos_pinho117 Javelins are good against their horsemen, they're okay at hurting Junks, and even if the only target is going to be crowmen, they put out a decent amount of hurt there too. Bringing them is a decent enough bet, even if it's a small amount since throwing axes are better against all of Cathay's armour.
You know, I never talk about economy and politics, but there is something you should know. I follow the economic news and its becoming clear that US inflation is picking up pace. If annualise the rate of the last three months, you get inflation of 5%. Some say that Washington jukes the stats so it could be even higher but who knows.
However, the Fed is going to cut rates. Why? Because US is in a debt crisis. Every three months, the federal government takes on another trillion in debt and every four months it adds another hundred billion on the interest payments. So US government is basically in a debt spiral where it needs to lend money to pay the interest payments! Not the principal, the interest payments! So the Fed has to cut interest rates because Uncle Sam cannot afford high interest rates. They also need to monetize part of the debt, which means money printing. This means that inflation is going to accelerate even faster once Fed decides to cut rates, as it has promised to do.
If you have life savings in dollars, you should prepare yourself. I have nothing to sell you, but if you have access to a financial advisor, you should contact them and say that the rising inflation is worrying and you want to protect your wealth. This probably means buying silver or gold. Asking about it at least will not hurt you, but once inflation begins to pick up pace and you are unprepared, it will have devastating consequences to you and your wife.
I'm noticing a trend across different TW:W-Channels to sending in more L replays. Thats great! For me as the audience it gets very stale, when I just have to look at the colors and in 9/10 cases it is Green that wins. Not so much these days. Also it shows good sportsmanship which increases my excitenment even more. I hope it stays like that for a while :)

@@Zephilian I looked as far back as 2017, I never saw anything about it. I also never saw anything about it when they were hyping up Champions of Chaos. If I'm missing it, please direct me to where I can find it, but the most I found was from two years ago, when Legend of Total War said Norsca was going to be reworked. I'd very much like to see more than that.

Wait Celestial Lion removes ITP?!?!? Why not used against Slaanesh who's entire roster is ITP?? Triple Celestial Lion, one of which the Celestial General with the AoE sweep ability to destroy Whip-Warriors/Chosen. You have 3 large SEs to take down any sort of Large. Jade Warriors hold the line well enough against Mortal Units and if they bring Daemons, you have a -15 leadership (-25 if charging from rear) flying SE to start Daemonic Instability.
Not only that, Slaanesh's ability to contest the air game is extremely limited between Marauder Horseman as their only ranged, and Azazel/Furies (both of which are Daemonic) who are definitely no match for 3 C-Lions.
Has no one thought of this before or am I missing some key details?

I think the troops of Cathey should have synced animations. Imagine Jade Warriors all swinging at the same time or Ironhail Gunners shooting in sync!
Obviously it would only happen if they are in harmony and the formation is stable. It would make the Catheyens a lot cooler in my opinion but wouldn't change the game much ( I know that dmg is tied to the animations).

been saying for a long time flying units are too powerful for the cost. they can freely move anywhere at speed with equal combat stats to ground units, always choosing fights. and they always get the charge vs ground units
This is only the second match I’ve seen houseplant lose. Crazy
