hello you are like my favourite youtuber and I watch you all the time. also what's the song at 0:56
this was way too funny
my type of pianist is ALL SUTSAINED all time
when are you guys dropping the sheet music for this one?
it was in your heart all along
@@SheetMusicBoss HOLY FVK WHAT?
@@SheetMusicBoss NANI!?
maybe the real sheet music was the friends we made along the way

As a pianist, I can confirm that this is what I do and how I play the piano.
one of these or ALL OF THESE?
Literally the most basic joke you can do in a video like this lol.
Only seeing the video you can already tell the first comment is going to be exactly this.
What country is that in your pfp
@@MontycelA good question
As a learning pianist, still suck at using the pedals, one of them is the clutch right?
As a pianist, I can confirm that constantly pressing the sustain pedal makes it sound good. (Only when you're the one playing it)
😂😂😂I love sustain but it definitely needs to be used sparingly
Because it hides your mistakes. It actually sounds really muddy when you keep it sustained all the time.
@@octopuszombie8744 after every different left chord I re-sustain. So its pretty fire lol.
Same here
@@octopuszombie8744Unless you’re playing on my keyboard, then the sustain doesn’t really happen
(Compared to an actual piano)

Good on you for doing that
Pretty sure 2nd one is flea waltz and not chopsticks
@@rachitjaiswal4214 different parts of the world call it different things, both are correct though.
@@aidanabraham2589 correct me on this, but aren't chopsticks and flea waltz totally different pieces?
@@rachitjaiswal4214 there are multiple pieces called chopsticks. In the Uk some people call it this piece chopsticks instead of flea waltz
As a pianist, I can confirm this is true and that I have done these things before and I have friends that still do them!
wait.. still do?...
i lost them and i stopped piano
I have an electric piano and my annoying little cousin keeps Turing the on and off button really fast and it’s so annoying

As a pianist I can confirm, I'm the one playing the same songs always and learning about one more per year haha
@Skyward Music I learn one every 16 months
I'm the pianist who turns everything into blues and jazz
Yes, now we're talking!

I guess we fall into those 5 song and heart and soul once 😂.
Yup. I 7th everything.
0:53 this had me dying for 2 minutes bro
I was exactly the ninth one, with that exact piece, in a performance. I started too slow, then tried to fix it, and from then on it was just a disaster
RIP to your recital 🙏
SAME DUDE SAME

That subtle Rush E did it for me! Nice job guys!
"subtle" 😅
@@SheetMusicBoss VERY subtle
Sheet Music Boss will never pass up a chance to put Rush E into a video
or megalovania tbh
"Am I the son of a panda? The son of a goose? A student? A teacher? Turns out, Im all of them."
XD
Got called out three times.
The times that I tried practicing piano were very unproductive. I tried way too many songs, I tried making my own, and I played Chicken with someone’s song request.
The request was an exception because they had strong opinions about everything, on top of having a “I know everything” personality.

I'm definitely guilty of using too much sustain pedal sometimes. Funnily enough, with that same song lol.
Idk why it's a complaint because sustain sounds so beautiful
As a guy who had never touched a piano, I can confirm this is how I would play the piano
Number 8 (Moonlight Sonata) reminded me of the Unplugged Version of a somewhat famous rock song here in Germany. It is called "Hier kommt Alex" by "Die Toten Hosen" what, if translated would be "Here Comes Alex" by "The Dead Pants" which is pretty hilarious if you ask me. Anyways, the unplugged version started with the Moonlight Sonata and then changed into the song itself. I do think it would be nice to have a full piano version of it, however, I don't think it would be popular enough to make a video out of it.
I love this song! It was on Guitar Hero 3, which was a big part of my childhood.
I must say rhis is not only very accurate but definietly quite difficult to make. I have been a fan of yours and I love your sense of humour and appreciate your hard work guys😊
As a pianist I can confirm that I’ve at one point knew like 4 songs and merged them together like that
As a piano teacher i can relate to this alot
I’m still learning the piano. I’m just having trouble with playing a repeated tune on the piano consistently with one hand. I also find it kind of difficult to play with two hands playing different things. It’s just a bit confusing, but I’ll get there.
Same, repeated key confuse me a lot
Learn some Bach, but take your time, it can be complex. (Try two-part inventions to start with, good for starting with hand independence).
i just started (seriously) playing about a year ago and i'm working on this as well. what reeeeally helped me was hand independence exercises and just slowing down whatever i'm learning.
As a pianist, I confirm these are all completely true
Pianists can start at any of these stages but the more advanced they become they will inevitably converge towards 8
I am definitly a rusher, and it makes it harder to get my pieces clean when I learn them faster then I should be going
The quality of this video is insane!
Keep up the great work Sheet Music Boss :)
The last one rushing and making mistakes and just smashing keys is the most relatable thing I’ve ever seen from a piano video game 😂😅
Me definately sometimes using that first method, but if you embed it in a slight rush an d then leave a bit of a pause before continuin, it sounds really cool.
that robot mode one called me out lmao im so bad at musical expression
Well, I'm in the always sustained category. And probably the metronome one. And the way to expressive. And I get easily distracted, too. 4/10, would play the piano again
That’s basically me lol. I swear every time I try and learn a song, in like 5 minutes into practicing I would just get bored and turn into playing some random meme song instead. Like now I am learning the Schubert Impromptu, but I only managed to pull a maximum of 30 minutes before I get bored and change songs.
I think I would agree with this too but, I think they need to take a break, unless they want to show off or give all of they have. When I was a beginner pianist, I was like this too but I kept practicing and became really good!
Im the one who comits to a song but then drops it a week later cause I found a cooler one.
Same
DAY *1194* ( *3 YEARS* and *119 days*): please, can I kindly suggest you to arrange *EMERALD ESCAPADE* a.k.a. *ULTRA MANIA* by mashed? It would be really cool! Thank you!
I think #2 is what I would be shortly after I start learning piano. Hopefully I don't stay that way for long and actually get good at a reasonable pace.
This is me but when i get frustrated at the piece i’m trying to learn. Lots of smashing and profusely apologizing to the keys after
As a person who never played a piano I approve
As someone who doesn't play piano currently but has dabbled in it in the past, I can confirm that I was the "ROBOT MODE" player
me too! so easy to accidentally do
"hey guys i can play piano"
*plays either still dre, chopsticks, heart and soul, or does that knuckle roll thing*
I only know a few songs and cannot play them in their entirety. I know Aerith's Theme (FF7), the Tetris Theme, Canon in D, Hot Cross Buns (obviously), Mary Had a Little Lamb, Roxas's theme (Kingdom Hearts), Beauty and the Beast, He's a Pirate, and Jenova's Theme (FF7). Oh, and Rush E.
Can you do Liberi Fatali?
All of these are like the stages of grief, acceptance being the best version of yourself on both cases...
Such a great video! I love #10
Finally some piano techniques I can relate to.
I love the accuracy during the wont stop rushing when it makes mistakes it goes back to slow 😂
I'm 100% guilty of number 10, and i'm not ashamed since the song is so good (unless I play it)
The worst kind of CZcams pianists are those who add too many unnecessary butter notes and extravagant right-hand flourishes. - In other words, talented players who over-complicate (to show off) and ruin the performance.
Naming no names, but some of you will know who I mean.
0:15 Der Flohwalzer,Kaede must be very proud😌
1:26 me smashing keys after messing up so many times
when i first started piano i was always using the sustain, my first keyboard didn't sound bad with it to me then but eventually i started using it and it allows for a lot more clarity haha
00:01:21 oof, i have learned 7 rush songs and my family are very mad at me for hearing them all of the time Hhh h
way more than 7 now ig
I'm #1 and 9/10 when learning a new piece or practicing, or when on adrenaline rush. I used to be #3 when I was less aware of dynamics
Love your videos!
The new avenged sevenfold album just came out and it ends with a really nice piano piece called Life Is But A Dream, it’d be nice to have a tutorial on it at some point in the future 🙂
Why am I actually like all of them 💀
I'm a recovering continent sustain user, learning to play without it on all the time, I just didn't have the option for a long time so enjoyed having it, though when I play I mainly make up songs because I have a really hard time learning them. I literally be in the piano for hours just playing random tunes and see where they go
Im literally the 3rd one. I play nocturne only cause it has satisfying jumps, i dont even make it feel expressive, just smash the keys lol
day 1217: can you please do oppa toby style?
Day 799: Can you please do “Back on the Rocks” by Mega NRG Man (from Initial D)
I do two pieces per year and i feel attacked 😂😂
Can someone tell me the name of the 2nd piece on the video? (The one right after revolutionary etude) I just can't remember the name lol
There was nothing more infuriating than this video right here. As a piano player, I can confirm.
I literally just remembered all my students and what types they are. It was a great laugh😂
0:39 what's this song called? I recognize it from somewhere. I think it's from an animation but I can't remember the name. nvm someone commented the name.
What's the name of the music 7?
'cause I've heard it so many times and still I've no idea of what it is 😅
YOU JUST HIGHLIGHTED EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY FLAWS . it's truly pain
All sustained all the time is me lmao, definitely need to work on that.
Heart an soul, totally me, with my cousin at side, after a few minutes we're just fooling around the song
The whole time suspended is literally me lol. I just start and then I forget that my foot’s been downs there the entire time 😂
everytime he did the keyboard slam its like someone hit my face with a frying pan
the chopin nocturne op 9 no 2 is my go to piece when im raging (usually from rach prelude) and I dont even try to play it well i go total npc mode and whack the keys
Ya know, music has never actually spoken to me like this before. So much vengeful and evil emotions in every note
O my gosh, I was just doing this🤣🤣 instead of practicing the pieces I need to I will play every piece I mastered without finishing them fully🤣 love this video!!
I’m the rusher and the sustainer, I used to be the one who wouldn’t count rests lol
As a piano, can confirm this is how I am played
I play the piano like I type. By hunting and pecking with frequent looks between the keyboard and the sheet music.
With the metronome is definitely true but I use it sometimes 😅
Yep I fit into a lot of those categories: 1, 2, 4, 5, 8 and 9
as a pianist who does all of that, i cracked up in every part of the video. 11/10.
So I‘m learning to play the piano by myself and I got really far in my progress, but tbh at the moment I‘m the „sustained all the time“ - person, as I can’t handle the pedals very well 😂😂
1:02 oh my god I saw one of those Moonlight Sonata videos like that
Annoying.
Thanks for the tips. I actually already use some of them but I learnt some new ones. Again thanks for the tips. 👍
I have a metronome, and i never use the metronome, and i also can't play the metronome because i will sound like a robot and to not sound like a robot i alway sustain and sometimes i forget the rest so i just style it out by rushing but when i slow down it sounds too expressive.
I'm like 2 weeks into playing piano. Im that one kid who gets distracted every once in a while. I only know 2 songs (barely mind you) but im getting better as im starting chords with my right hand now!
Literally people around me when I'm trying to play a simple song
I have never seen anything more relatable than this
i have unironically done all of these things as a pianist
I'll do whatever and play however I want and I will use your sobbing as the backing track for my next piece of "music"
I definitely use the sustain too much and play expressively when I'm bored.
I can relate into two things: Not using a metronome even if you have one, and I kept hearing from people that I play like a robot, that's what you get from a self taught pianist. I have no correct practices for voicing at all.
Plus I am afraid to play with too much emotion and this video explains why.
Perfectly described my playing experience
I love the keyboard slam at the end. Can confirm i always do that myself when i get a song wrong kek
Ik right!
What is the piece/song that is played in the beginning of number 7?
i'm the gets distracted every few seconds, unless i'm rly focusing i know too many songs that if i get a wrong note i'm playing something else
Can you do southern nights by glen campbell? That would be amazing if you could.
I am a rookie I can play song of storms, Saria’s song, kasses theme, reunion with Revali
I'm getting better at not overusing the sustain pedal! Love Dramatic finally taught me to keep an ear out for when to use it and when to let it go.
Unless what you meant was keeping the sustain pedal pressed all the time, in which case I'm clean!
Except I'm not, because you forgot a few important types of annoying pianist: the type who overuses glissandos, the type who will inject anything new they learn into every song they play (hello glissandos), and the type who just WON'T LET THE SONG END!
Hi! I'm all three of those! 😃
in moonlight msonata you keep it on the whole time
Thanks so much, now I know how to annoy people masterfully!
Seeing #10 after #9 Nearly killed me, even though I saw it coming 😂
I know about 30 ish major songs on piano, I have about 600 combinations because I literally switch from playing Turkish march to giornos theme to that random sad song every 3 seconds :P
I can't put into words how personally attacked I felt at 1:11
